Hot Tub & Fireplace in 1925 Cabin, Minutes to RMNP

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

Travel back 100 years to a quiet time when nobody`d heard of TV, and star gaze from the hot tub at my 1925 cabin. Minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park & blocks from a local grocer & Estes` best dining (Permit 20-NCD0293), it`s a modernized yet authentic historic mountain getaway!brbr+ 600 Mbps Internetbr+ Cozy wood burning fireplace & private hot tubbr+ So close to Rocky Mountain National ParkbrbrUnlock the secrets of the mountains in this historic cabin, a unique gem for up to 4!brbr**** PLEASE NOTE ****brbr1) Like most homes in Estes, THERE ARE NEIGHBORS AND YOU CAN SEE THEM FROM MY HOUSE. If you want total seclusion, you`ll need to look 20-30 mins from town. brbr2) 4pm or later checkin; 10am or earlier checkout. We can`t do early check ins or late checkouts as they are not insured by AirBnB. brbr3) Like the vast majority of homes in Estes, there is no AC. We open our windows in the evening and the places cools quickly. brbr4) Cleaning is expensive and I want guests to pay as little as possible. The cleaners offered a deal to keep the rates in the lowest third of homes this size, and I pass the savings on to you! I ask guests to pay it forward by starting the dishwasher and a load of towels in the washer at checkout. It takes five minutes but saves the cleaners an hour, which saves you money! brbr***** THANKS FOR READING *****brbrI love my cozy 2br mountain cabin, built nearly 100 years ago and lovingly modernized with all the modern comforts. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood amongst ponderosas and aspens, my cabin is a great mountain getaway. brbrHere here are a few reviews from my guests!! brbr`This place is absolutely dreamy. We got lucky with snow every day of our stay and had a winter wonderland to view out all the windows and the screened in porch. The views from the porch are out of a movie.` - Kristenbrbr`Too bad there isn`t an option for 10 stars. My wife is very attuned to the energy of locations and said this place has an abundance of good.` - Chesterbrbr`This is our new favorite place to stay while visiting Estes Park! Very cozy cabin. Love the old timey theme and all the character this place has. It was very nice to light a fire in the fireplace and watch movies.` - LevibrbrMy favorite feature is the vibe itself. I feel like I can finally disconnect and breathe while I`m there. brbrDISTANCESbrbr1 min to restaurants and groceriesbr5 mins to National Park Entrancebr6 mins to downtown Estes Parkbr8 mins to Stanley Hotelbr25 mins to Bear Lakebr60 mins to Eldora ski areabr90 min to DIAbrbrThe original knotty pine complements the stone fireplace in the living room, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. A comfy couch lets you relax and enjoy a good book, watch a show/movie on the flat screen TV, or even take advantage of the super speedy WiFi for streaming or working. brbrAt 1,000 square feet, my cabin contains two bedrooms, a spacious living room, an inviting sun porch with abundant windows, a bathroom with a vintage clawfoot tub, and a kitchen/dining area. brbrThis single-level home is situated between downtown Estes Park and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, making it easy to explore the area`s best attractions. My favorite restaurant, Bird and Jim, is a 1 minute drive, as is Country Supermarket, the local grocer. In that same intersection you`ll find The Bird`s Nest for coffee, baked goods and amazing wood fired pizza.brbrThe cabin rests in a small valley between Prospect Mountain open space and Giant Track Mountain. That means there`s an abundance of wildlife; elk, deer, wild turkey, bobcat and so much more frequently through the yard.brbrBEDROOMS brbrThe home offers two bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed. brbrENTERTAINMENTbrbrEnjoy a movie night with the family and stream your favorite shows on the smart television with Roku, which you can connect to your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, or other accounts. brbrSpeedy 600 Mbps WiFi ensures you`ll remain connected during your stay. brbrKITCHEN brbrPrepare delicious meals with the stove and oven, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, plates, glasses, cutting boards, drip coffee maker, and other small appliances available in the kitchen. brbrLAUNDRY brbrWe do not have a laundry machine, but a great coin-op facility is located a few blocks away.brbrGuests will have full access to our home, which includes:brbr2 bedroomsbr1 bathroombr1 kitchen/dining areabr1 living room with fireplacebrAwesome deck with viewsbrYardbrPrivate off street parkingbrbrI have turned my listing management over to The Wolf Rentals; Nathan, Nancy and Matt will be your cohosts and primary points of contact.brbrThis home is in a quiet neighborhood on the side of Prospect Mountain, close to Marys Lake Road. Our sun porch has views into the Rocky Mountains and there is a lot of open space nearby so you`re very likely to see a lot of wildlife. brbrNote that there are neighbors and that this is not an isolated cabin. If you are looking for seclusion, you really need to be looking at places about 10 miles away. brbrA few blocks away along Marys Lake Road is The Country Supermarket, with awesome deli sandwiches that you can buy and take into the park during hikes or ski trips. Near the Country Supermarket is Scratch, which as great warm sandwiches, as well as my favorite restaurant, Bird and Jim. brbrOther super close restaurants are The Rock Inn and Smoking Daves BBQ. brbrThe cabin is just west of town, which means you won`t get stuck in traffic trying to get into the National Park. Fortunately the park entrance is only a few minutes away.brbrDuring the summer, there`s a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You`ll want to walk to the Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, where the nearby Country Supermarket is), both of which are within a few blocks` distance.brbrI always recommend a winter capable vehicle from October to May. That means 4WD, AWD, or a 2wd car with snow tires. We are in a high mountain environment with very unpredictable winter weather!brbrNEIGHBORHOODbrbrWe are in a regular residential neighborhood with neighbors! Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise levels. Neighbors can be seen from the hot tub, so no parties or music in it.brbrNONPAYING GUESTSbrbrInsurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. Your guest count must be correct. Note that in the town of Estes Park, INFANTS COUNT TOWARD THE MAXIMUM GUEST COUNT.brbrAIR CONDITIONERbrbrEstes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly.brbrBEARSbrbrDo NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!brbrMINUTbrWe use a Minut noise meter. It doesn`t record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. It`s located on the cieling in the kitchen.brbr* After booking, guests may be asked to review and accept a standard rental agreement covering house rules, safety disclosures, liability, and damage responsibility. This agreement does not modify pricing, cancellation terms, or refund policies presented on Vrbo and is intended to be consistent with Vrbo’s terms and the listing details.brBY BOOKING YOU UNDERSTAND:brbr+ This is a home in a neighborhood WITH NEIGHBORS. Please respect that! brbr+ Quiet hours 9pm-8ambrbr+ Cleaning is super expensive here and I want guests to pay as little as possible. The cleaners offered a deal to keep the rates in the lowest third of homes this size, and I pass the savings on to you!
