It`s located on the ceiling of the hallway leading into the living room.brbr* After booking, guests may be asked to review and accept a standard rental agreement covering house rules, safety disclosures, liability, and damage responsibility. This agreement does not modify pricing, cancellation terms, or refund policies presented on Vrbo and is intended to be consistent with Vrbo’s terms and the listing details.br+ No parties, loud noises, unregistered guests br+ Quiet hours from 9pm to 8am. br+ You`re renting a townhome with a shared wall; you may have neighborsbr+ No smokingbr+ Wood burning fire pits and charcoal grills are illegal in Estes vacation homes due to high fire danger. The home was architecturally designed to capture refreshing breezes through open windows and doors. During the 2023 remodel, we added a 3-ton AC unit in the main living room plus portable fans throughout. For most guests, this setup is perfect, but if you are very heat-sensitive, you may want to avoid the hottest weeks of the summer (typically late July and August).brbrIn the winter months, guests should be prepared for true mountain conditions, including freezing temperatures, snow, and periods of high wind. The home is fully heated, and all bedrooms have heating, but because of the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, the main living areas can run cooler than a traditional, heavily insulated home. Most guests find it very comfortable with cozy clothing, warm socks, and slippers, but if you tend to run cold, we recommend packing extra layers so you can fully enjoy the views and living spaces.brbr• 4WD/AWD & Snow Tires: Required from November through May due to potential for snow and icy roads.brbr• Elevation: This property is situated at ~8,500 ft of elevation.brbr• Age Requirement: Must be 28 years or older to book or insta-book our home.brbr• Exterior Security Cameras: Two cameras are installed outside for your safety. They do NOT capture any interior spaces.brbr• Holiday Restrictions: No check-in/check-out on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day. Reservations not meeting these requirements must be adjusted or canceled.brbrLarimer County Approval Number: 20-NCD0051

Originally located inside Rocky Mountain National Park and now lovingly restored & relocated 5 mins from the entry, Permit 20-NCD0218.brbr`This is probably the best (short term rental) we have ever stayed in out of 15+ over 7 yrs.` - IanbrbrEnjoy a wood stove in a tin-ceiling living room or a sunset dinner outside.brbr- Private hot tub & yardbr- Level II EV chargerbr- 1gb fiber internet br- King & queen bedsbr- Washer/dryerbrbrGreat 1200 s/f basecamp for 6.brbrReal quick, some house rules (sorry it`s no fun, but please read!!)brbr+ The property is more than an acre and there are three short term rentals on it. You will have neighbors, but this home & hot tub is all yours (and the fence separates the spaces)br+ Check in is 4pm or later; check out is 10am or earlier. br+ No smoking inside or out; no fire pits; no parties; no pets. br+ 2 cars & 6 guests max per legal limit.br+ At checkout, you must do dishes and start a load of towels/hand towels/washcloths (we have negotiated a lower cleaning fee based on this). br+ No cable -- bring your own streaming accounts for the smart TV.brbrPast guests have raved:brbr`... this place is awesome as it was close it the park and also it gave us unique rustic experience.`br`... the location on Nathan’s place is unmatched if you’re doing the trek to Rocky Mountain National Park, and the place is so charming.`br`... the charm of this cottage is incredible! It is comfortable and stylish. You can’t beat the location and the views.`br`... Stay with Nathan! We loved this house! Everything was so nice and tidy! The stove was a wonderful homey feel! We loved coffee on the porch swing!`brbrThanks for checking out the historic 1927 Alpine Garden Cabin. Located in the shadows of Prospect and Giant Track Mountains with views into the National Park and Twin Sisters Peaks, it`s about 5 minutes from the entry gate to Rocky Mountain National Park, 5 minutes from downtown Estes Park, and just seconds away from my favorite restaurant and local supermarket. brbrThis unique cabin originally sat inside the National Park, in Moraine Park, and was eventually moved to its current site. If you stay here, you`ll be staying in a museum that`s been slowly and gradually added to over the years.brbrDuring the most recent updates, I added some fun touches: coffee tables and shelving I hand-made from local reclaimed wood, and funky hanging lamps I made out of whiskey bottles that I upcycled from my favorite local restaurant, Bird and Jim (just down the street). I also added a new privacy fence to and opened up the back yard so you can enjoy afternoon meals or glasses of wine and feel alone.brbrThe inside is super unique: there`s a historic wood stove, tin ceiling in the living room, and fun 1950s lime green paint in the fully stocked kitchen. It`s got everything you need to help you feel at home during your Estes Park vacation. Enjoy the wood burning stove in the historic living room, or just kick back in front of a smart TV (on top of another fireplace) and zone out.brbr***** IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE *****brbrMy 1-acre property has three short term rentals on it: this home and two other cabins. Each one has its own private parking and living spaces; the only shared area is the driveway. Guests must be respectful of the parking and noise situations. If you are looking for isolation in the woods, this is not your best bet. brbr*********************************************brbrBEDROOMSbrbrThe home has two bedrooms and has a maximum legal occupancy of six.brbrBedroom 1 - A master bedroom with en-suite bathroom sits off the kitchen, removed from the living room. It`s got an amazingly comfortable king bed and a walk in shower. Note that the pellet stove in this room is NOT FOR GUEST USE. It is nevertheless heated with central heat.brbrBedroom 2 - The original and historic bedroom, sitting off the living room and attached to a bathroom. Featuring a comfortable queen bed and lots of wood walls for the cozy feel.brbrBedroom 3 - We offer a pull out sofa bed for extra guests, for a max of six.brbrBATHROOMSbrbrBathroom 1 - An en-suite bathroom off the master bedroom, with a sink, toilet and walk-in shower.brbrBathroom 2 - Part of the original cabin, with an antique clawfoot tub located off the living room. brbrLIVING & ENTERTAINMENTbrbrLiving Room - Enjoy games and movies on your own streaming accounts with a smart Roku TV, relax in the comfortable couches in front of the wood burning stove, or simply turn it all off and try to imagine living in this home when it was originally built 100 years ago.brbrWiFi - My home now has a strong mesh WiFi network with no dead zones. A 600Mbps connection will allow you to stream and work.brbrLAUNDRY, COOKING, DININGbrbrKitchen - The funky lime green kitchen is fully stocked with a fridge, freezer, oven, stove, new pots and pans, lots of cutlery, wine glasses, a drip coffee maker, and much, much more. brbrDining Area - In the kitchen, this dining area offers seating for 6. You can also dine outside in the garden. brbrLaundry - The home offers a small laundry/mud room off the kitchen. In it is a full size washer and dryer that you can use for free.brbrThis is a fully furnished, private home. You have full access to:brbr+ 2 bedroomsbr+ 2 bathroomsbr+ private parkingbr+ private yard and outdoor dining areabr+ kitchen/dining and living areasbrbrI own a small rental management company in town and have a great team of house managers, so either myself or one of them will be readily available to answer any and all questions.brbrMy neighborhood is a typical Estes Park rural residential neighborhood, where you can see mountains all around but there are also neighbors. My property is a little over an acre and this unit has an effective privacy fence so all the outdoor area feels private and `all yours.` There are neighbors and I ask that guest are respectful of them, self-monitor their noise levels, and do not trespass on their land.brbrThis property is about a 15 minute walk to the Country Super Market (downhill there, uphill back), where you can hop on the free summer shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and takes you to the Rocky Mountain National Park visitor center, and from there you can hop on a shuttle that goes into the National Park.brbrHowever, you really need to have your own car when visiting Estes Park. There are not reliable Ubers/Lyfts and the taxis are few and far between.brbrNOISEbrbrEvents, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Note that my property has two other short term rentals on it; treat our neighbors like you`d want to be treated.brbrThe house has a Minut, which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (we will also be alerted if that happens). It also measures temperature to alert us of pipe freeze conditions. It`s on the kitchen ceiling.brbrNONPAYING GUESTSbrbrInsurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. brbrAIR CONDITIONERbrbrEstes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly.brbrMINUTbrbrWe use a Minut noise meter. It doesn`t record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. It`s located on the cieling in the kitchen.brbr* After booking, guests may be asked to review and accept a standard rental agreement covering house rules, safety disclosures, liability, and damage responsibility. This agreement does not modify pricing, cancellation terms, or refund policies presented on Vrbo and is intended to be consistent with Vrbo’s terms and the listing details.brBY BOOKING YOU AGREE TO:brbr- You understand there are 2 other rental cabins on the property and will be mindful of neighbors & other guestsbr- No parties, pets, smoking anywherebr- Quiet hours outside 10pm-8ambr- Check in 4pm or later; check out 10am or earlierbr- Start load of towels/hand towels/wash cloths at check out, plus start dishwasher

Cabin

Private creek, hot tub, fireplace! Near Park!

Estes Park, Colorado, United States

Come relax at Shadow Pines, a quiet mountain cabin with a hot tub and 2 cozy fireplaces minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park (Permit 20-NCD0125). A seasonal creek flows through the yard under a canopy of mature aspen and pine. Five minutes to the National Park, and less than a minute from fishing, Marys Lake, a local grocer and the best restaurant in Estes. brbr- Master with en suite bathroom and private fireplacebr- 1gb Fiber InternetbrbrGreat family-friendly cabin for up to 8.brbrReal quick -- some house rules: brbr+ No check-ins earlier than 4 or checkouts later than 10, our cleaners just can`t pull it off since they have no idea what condition their other units were left in. br+ No smoking inside or out; no wood-burning fire pits; no parties; no pets. br+ 3 cars & 8 guests max. br+ Guests must load/start dishwasher and start a laundry load of towels/hand towels/washcloths at checkout.brbrNow: onward!! brbrI am so pleased to share with you my family`s cabin on the outskirts of Rocky Mountain National Park. We fell in love with this place because of its proximity to endless outdoor recreation, the quiet hot tub off the back porch, and the serene brook running through a beautiful aspen grove in the yard. It`s awesome to get to Hidden Valley in 15 minutes to sled or snowshoe in the winter, or to hike around Bear Lake during the summer -- the home is just minutes from the entry gate at Beaver Meadows. brbrDuring the winter months, cozy up in front of two beautiful gas fireplaces and enjoy a soak in the hot tub. It`s even better that the best cocktails, wine and food is a minute down the road at the famous Bird and Jim, one of the best restaurants in northern Colorado. brbrDuring the summers, relax in the yard under the aspen grove! The sounds of the stream are idyllic, and the little swing is a great place to unwind and read a book. brbrMarys Lake, a minute away, has fishing if you have a permit. The Bird`s Nest, a minute away, has incredible coffee and wood fired pizzas. The Country Market, a minute away, will make the best sandwiches for you prior to a National Park excursion. A minute away there`s probably an elk or deer feasting on some lush grasses. You get the picture -- the location is perfect. brbrFive minutes away (!) is the downtown district. It`s nice to be 5 minutes away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to get there quickly. brbrBEDROOMSbrbrWe have three bedrooms: a main floor double, a main floor queen with a rustic log bed frame, and a lower level queen with walk in closet, private en-suite bathroom with a jetted tub, and a private gas fireplace. brbrBATHROOMSbrbrThe home has a number of bathrooms: The main floor bathroom features a tub/shower, two sinks, and a toilet. The en suite bathroom on the lower level features a jetted tub, toilet and two sinks. There`s also a shower in the laundry room. brbrLIVING, DINING & COOKINGbrbrKitchen - My kitchen is absolutely stocked! Crock pot, drip coffee maker, full size fridge, oven, blenders, cooking utensils galore, pots, pans, and so much more. Let your inner chef loose!brbrLiving/Dining Area - One of my favorite parts about the layout of the home is is fosters gatherings. The main living area on the first floor is totally open, with sofa seating, dining table seating, and seating around the kitchen bar. It`s great for socializing and hanging out. brbrOUTDOOR LIVINGbrbrOne of my favorite features of my home is the lovely yard, accessible from the hot tub or front/side porch. There`s a beautiful little stream running through it, and the aspen and pine groves on our property are so pleasant. You will love just sitting on the edge of the brook listening to the aspen leaves rustling and the brook babbling during the summer and fall. brbrLAUNDRYbrbrPlease use the free washer and dryer on the lower floor.brbrGuests have access to our entire property: brbr- 3 bedrooms, br- 2 bathrooms plus a laundry room with a showerbr- a kitchen/dining/living areabr- a big deck-br- a big fenced in yard with a seasonal street and grove of aspensbr- a private hot tub off the back porchbr- a kid`s play area with a trundle bed, TV and gaming console.brbrWe won`t be able to meet up with guests, but have an absolutely excellent team at The Wolf Rentals to help out with your reservation! The team is made of a bunch of long term locals who know Estes like the back of their hands. You`ll be in excellent hands :)brbrOur home is in a private residential neighborhood in a small valley between Giant Track Mountain and Prospect Mountain. Giant Track is actually part of Rocky Mountain National Park, and Prospect Mountain is a huge open space. We are essentially in the middle of a wildlife corridor that`s constantly teeming with elk, deer, wild turkey, birds of prey, coyotes, bobcat and other critters. A few minutes up the road is Marys Lake, where you can fish, and a few minutes down the road is a great local supermarket plus the best restaurant in Estes (Bird and Jim). The home is about 5 minutes to the entry station to Rocky Mountain National Park.brbrA free summer shuttle bus goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You`ll want to head to the Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, where the nearby Country Supermarket is), both of which are about a ten minutes walk.brbrNO SMOKING, NO FIRESbrbrMy home was about a mile away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago, so we are a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park`s vacation homes).brbrROAD CONDITIONSbrbrEstes has a great plow team and our driveway will also be plowed during storms, but if there`s a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!brbrNONPAYING GUESTS brbrInsurance forbids nonpaying/non-registered guests on the property. brbrAIR CONDITIONER brbrLike nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. Thankfully mountain air blows down from the high peaks and will cool down the place quickly in the evenings if you open the windows. There are fans in the living room and bedrooms as well.brbrBEARS brbrDo NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area often and can break in!brbrMINUTbrWe use a Minut noise meter. It doesn`t record audio, but instead monitors decibel levels, temperature and humidity. This is for the safety of guests & to protect the home. It also serves to warn us about parties & prevent noise complaints from neighbors. It`s located in the living room above the sofa.brbr* After booking, guests may be asked to review and accept a standard rental agreement covering house rules, safety disclosures, liability, and damage responsibility. This agreement does not modify pricing, cancellation terms, or refund policies presented on Vrbo and is intended to be consistent with Vrbo’s terms and the listing details.br- No parties, pets, smoking or eventsbr- Check in 4pm or later; check out 10am or earlierbr- 3 cars & 8 guests maxbr- On checkout, guests start a load of dishes & a laundry load of towelsbr- Outdoor wood fire pits are illegal! br- Abide by local noise & nuisance ordinances and not bother neighborsbr- Understand we are in a neighborhood! Be kind!
