If you meet him, he may bark and he has been known to “talk” or even howl quietly when alone. (He is rarely left alone) It’s rare and it’s pretty cute when it happens. - his nickname is Sheriff! He's well behaved, and we are responsible dog owners.br❥ You may see us, along with Jackson, our dog, in the yard occasionally. br❥ Dedicated private office available upon request for no extra charge. Note that I use the office when guests are not staying in the unit and it contains my personal belongings. Must be requested upon booking. Otherwise it is locked off. br❥ We will park in the driveway if space allows, otherwise all 3 spaces are yours if you need them.br❥ All original art is for sale- just inquire.br❥ Art has sharp edges and the home may not be suitable for small childrenbr❥ AC doesn’t go below 70, we have a window AC and fan in the primary bedroom to assist.br❥ We unfortunately cannot accommodate late checkout due to our cleaning schedule.br❥ The mailbox is not available for guest use. As soon as you park your car a beautiful lit up pathway with solar torches will lead you to the glamping site. The campsite is set back at the very end of a 3 acre property next to a little creek bordering open space. brbrThis is one of two unique glamping units set up on private creekside property. brYour glamping site “Hug a Bear” is romantically lit at night time and artistically decorated. The tent is waterproof and protected by a carport, that offers a covered porch. The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ and electricity. You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain. brbrJust a few steps away from your tent site and next to the parking area you will find a clean portable toilet and we offer a simple outdoor shower with hot water. brbrWe do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your glamping experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you dont like bugs or occasional spiders, this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. In cooler weather we will provide a heater.brbrWe Sabin & Randy are artisans and live and work on site. Please be prepared in the winter months.brbr✤PET POLICY ✤brWe absolutely love animals but unfortunately can not have them in the house or on the property.brbr✤NEIGHBORHOOD ✤brThis home is located in a beautiful, peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Please be mindful of the towns quiet hours from 10pm to 7am and the surrounding neighbors.brbrGuest access:brGuests have the entire home to themselves including a private backyard space with a hot tub.brbrOther things to note:brOur home is located at 8,300ft in elevation and is usually about 10 degrees cooler than the Denver area. The snowy season can start as early as September but usually doesn't go into full swing until November & December. That being said, Colorado has 300 days of blue skies and sun shine, so any time of the year is beautiful up here in the mountains!brbrIf you are traveling during the months of November- May, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle.brWe maintain our driveway very well in the winter, but just like all the other mountain homes in the area, the snow is out of our control and it's best to be prepared as possible.brbrIf snow is in the forecast or is happening during your stay, we will make sure the drive way is cleared and decks are shoveled. Because the drive way is paved, snow will have to be removed as needed!brbrHouse Rules:br-No smoking of any kind on the premises in accordance with all Jefferson County short term rental rules. br-No pets allowed br-Quite hours are between 10pm - 7ambr-No parties or events allowedbr-No more than 6 guests maximumbr-Only registered guest are allowed at the home.br-Absolutely no fires permitted on the property. This includes fireworks, sparklers, etc.br-Please bag all trash and empty them into the provided bear proof bins. br-Absolutely no unattended food at any time. We live in a highly populated area of bears, elk, deer, moose, and other animals.br-No illegal activitiesbr-All wheel drive or 4x4 drive is highly suggested from the months of October to May.br-No more than 5 cars allowed on the property and no street parkingbr-Children must be under adult supervision at all timebr-Our neighbors are friendly people, so please be respectful of outside noise and activities.
