Or the Sooke Wilderness Trail which climbs into the hills behind us and over an old railway trestle to Shawnigan Lake and beyond. It is now a part of the Trans Canada Trail system which connects the Pacific to the Atlantic via recreational (no cars) trail system. brbrLots of wildlife visit the property. Deer walk the pathways and native turtles sunning themselves on a log next door . And a family of otters which can be seen crunching on crayfish lying on their backs in the water. Raccoons stop by to gather the ripe fruit during season.
