This is a family friendly rental with children living in the upstairs suite. No pets/animals allowed in home or on the premises - no exceptions. You will be made to vacate if either of these two rules are broken.brbrOur suite sleeps 6 people comfortably, with 3 bedrooms and three queen beds. There are three TV’s in the suite, but NO CABLE television. Our TV’s have an Amazon firestick with access to our shared Netflix & Amazon Prime & Disney + & Sportsnet accounts for your use.brbrThe kitchen is fully equipped with a stove and oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. We have a coffee maker and a Keurig for quick and easy drinks! We have supplied the kitchen with every cooking accessory you would ever need. brbrIn one of the side yards… we have a inground 12 x 28 salt water pool. The pool is great for kids as the shallow end is 3 feet and the deep end is 5.5 feet. In the other fenced side yard, we have a spring free trampoline. We are located on a busy trafficked street, please be aware you will hear traffic while sitting on the outdoor patio, in the front and side yards. 9:00AM – 9:00PM pool and front yard patio hours as we would like to be respectful to all, including our neighbors. Please no partiers - this is a family friendly rental.brbrThe half bathroom is in the utility room along with a washer, dryer, gas furnace, hot water tank.brbrWe live above in the above suite. You will hear footsteps and squeaky floors above you. The suite has a sound and fire barrier between the floors, but you will hear the normal noises of a busy household and working family. We have a 15 year old girl and 11 year old boy that go to school Monday to Friday and we are out the door at 8:15 AM. We will be as quiet and respectful as possible, but please be aware you will hear us at any hour of the day. We are registered with the City of Penticton as a vacation rental #00112292. We have been in operation as a vacation rental since 2015. Summer bookings are 7 day minimum from Sunday to Sunday. The rest of the year is 2 day minimum with any day check in or out.brbrSunshine Lakehouse has had a major renovation. Enter the craftsman style porch to a well-appointed kitchen with a huge island, a gas range, large fridge/freezer, bar fridge, two sinks and two dishwashers. The spacious living room and dining area have windows that overlook the lake. The master bedroom has a patio door with lake views that opens to the deck. The master ensuite has a walk-in shower, a stellar blue tub, double vanity and a toilet. The main floor also has a mudroom with access to a two piece bathroom and stackable washer dryer unit.brbrThe upstairs has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Each of the bathrooms has a large tiled shower, a toilet and a large single vanity. Guest room #1 and #2 each have a queen size bed , closet and overlooks the lake. Guestroom #3 has a queen size bed, large closet and over looks the hillside. The bunkroom has two queen beds and two twin beds and a tv to connect your own gaming equipment. There is also an upstairs laundry.brbrThe large deck overlooking the lake can be accessed through the dining room and master bedroom. There is a large fenced in grassy area, perfect for small children and pets. Down a few stairs is 80 feet of sandy beach. The beach has 7 adirondack chairs , a firepit and a rack that holds 4 kayaks for guest use. Please check City of Penticton for information on seasonal fire bans. The lake is shallow in front of the house. There is a buoy 200m out from the house for daytime use. Guests can book a slip at the Skaha Marina for overnight.brbrThere is no inside garage parking or guest access as the garage is for owner storage. There are three guest parking spots in front of the garage and two spots on the street in front of the hedge. Our lovely 4 bedroom home faces directly on to Skaha Park and Beach. For some reason the VRBO map says it is a 7 minute walk to the beach but it's more like 7 seconds to the park and 30 seconds to the beach!brbrWe have a formal dining and living room, a family room with a 55 smart UHD 4K TV (Netflix), and a kids games room with a 42TV and pool table. There are also two pullout couches in the games room. There are four bedrooms: three are standard sized bedrooms with queen beds. The master bedroom will provide someone with a lovely oasis. It is so large that it feels a bit like a self-contained apartment with a king sized bed, a 42 TV, and a two comfy chairs. Guests love the walk in river rock shower in the master bedroom en-suite.brbrIn addition to the master en-suite , there are two more bathrooms, both of which are newly renovated, one with a shower and the other with a shower and bathtub.brbrAll four bedrooms have air conditioning. We do not have central air conditioning on the main floor. We do have many fans and the lower floor of the house generally remains pleasantly cool. brbr A large two car garage provides ample room for storing bikes, golf clubs or other recreational equipment. Although our sons have grown and moved away, we have kept many children's books and games (and games for adults). We also have four kayaks that guests are welcome to use as well as a variety of sports equipmentbrbrThe private backyard is fully fenced and gated with a large deck and BBQ area as well as a 2020 Coast Spas six person hot tub.brbrTwenty steps from our front door, you will find Skaha Park, which features the following amenities: sandy beach, concessions and ice cream, a marina, water-spray park, tennis courts and volleyball courts, softball diamond, two playgrounds, and an outdoor in-line hockey rink. The nearest neighborhood pub, the Dragonboat Pub is a five minute walk across the park.brbrThe Bluffs, a world class rock climbing/hiking destination is less than a ten minute drive from our home. Many people prefer the Skaha Lake (south) end of Penticton. There are many recreational opportunities but because there are fewer motels, it is much quieter at night. brbr It is also perfect for a long ski weekend ( it is a 35 minute drive from our driveway to the Apex parking lot) or as a base for touring the dozens and dozens of close by wineries. This is our primary house, which is located at the end of a no thru road and is very private on a 1.3 acre lot. The available ground level suite is a spacious 1500 sq. ft. of the Adobe Style House and has it's own separate driveway. We have room on our upper level parking area for an RV or boat if needed. It has spectacular views over looking Okanagan Lake from above the highway of Penticton's Lake Shore Drive to Naramata. Iconic Munson Mountain with the Hollywood looking PENTICTON letters is directly across the lake. Open layout main area includes Kitchen with Stainless Steel Fridge, Stainless Steel Range, a Microwave and super quiet Bosch Dishwasher. Dining Room has a rectangular antique oak table & chairs. Living Room includes a 50 inch flat screen TV. with 5 DVD Stereo System, 2 full size Leather Couch's . Cork and Hardwood floors throughout. Large entrance room has plenty of space for bikes, golf clubs etc. A sliding door out of the living room leads you out onto a large 14' x 23' deck facing the beaches, city and the marina.
