Two hours from the heart of Vancouver this gorgeous getaway is the perfect place to bring the people you love for a true log home adventure.brThis beautiful suite is nestled in the woods in a small mountain community. If your goal is to get away from it all in a relaxing and fun atmosphere, you can come to the right place. brbrWe are thirty minutes away from the Lodge at Manning Park where you can snowmobile, ski and snowshoe in the winter and swim, hike, canoe and paddle board in the summer. Also nearby are the Othello Tunnels, the city of Hope BC that has a thriving arts community, Kawkawa Lake for boating and fishing and the old town community of Yale. brThe suite itself has a private entrance and hosts one very large bedroom with a fireplace and sitting area to snuggle in with a good book. The living room with a fireplace that has 1 fold out bed (not recommended for 5 and under) there is an open kitchenette with an eating bar where you can do almost anything but roast a turkey (but who wants to do that on a holiday anyway :-) ). The bathroom is spacious and luxurious with heated tile floors. lots of hot water and a rain shower.brThe suite is private and located downstairs from where the owners live. The ambiance is quite luxurious, champaign and strawberries style, so the perfect place to bring your sweetheart for a getaway. If we are around, you may even get invited for dinner. brYou can rest your bones in the back yard and go for a walk in the neighbourhood to check out all of the beautiful cabins and log homes. Expect to get a hello from anyone you pass by on the road. brWe are 15 minutes from Hope where you get gas and groceries, so make sure your tank is full and you bring the food you need. There is no pizza delivery here. :-) There is a local liquor store that also has a few emergency foods like milk and bread. Bring a cooler if your food will not fit in the mini fridge and make sure you leave them inside so it doesn't get invaded by the local critters. Our beautiful little A Frame is just a few steps from Kawkawa Lake near Hope, BC. It has just been completely renovated; new flooring throughout, fresh paint, and full bathroom reno. We are a short 90 minute drive from Vancouver where one can completely unplug and enjoy the scenery. There is an abundance of outdoor activities to do around the lake such as; swimming, kayaking, hiking, and more. If you have a boat, there are two different boat launches within a kilometer of the cabin. brIn the surrounding area there are numerous adventures to take; Hell's Gate (Google it, it is amazing), Manning Park for summer and winter activities, Harrison Hot Springs, downtown Hope (carving capital of Canada), Othello Tunnels (stunning), many many hikes to take, gold panning in historic Yale, BC, and so much more. brThe cabin has two bedrooms on the main level, both with queen sized beds and the loft has a queen bed. There is a full kitchen (minus a dishwasher) with an extra beer fridge in the garage. The cabin is set up for inside and outside cooking and eating with huge decks, front and back. The back deck has glass railings, two tables and a BBQ. There are brand new vinyl plank floors inside the cabin and it was freshly painted in 2023. brThe backyard boasts a spring fed creek that is absolutely stunning and runs ice cold year round. There is an amazing fire pit area for campfires. In the summer, if there's a burning ban, we also have a portable propane fire pit so you will not go without!brWe use the front yard for playing games like croquet, ladder ball and bean bag toss. brIf you are adventurous, we have 4 adult kayaks and 2 child kayaks for use as well as a stand up paddle board. It's just a short walk to the launch to put the toys into the water.brIn the winter, we are just a 45 minute drive from Manning Park Resort and some amazing downhill powder and some of the best cross country skiing in the world.
