In the upstairs, you have 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a kitchen/living room open concept with unreal views overlooking the porch to the ocean. With a wall full of windows and doors, the natural light and ocean views will immediately leave you in awe. Kitchen is built for a cook with brand new appliances, Ninja Blender, Kitchen Aid Mixer, Cuisinart Coffee Pot, and more. Enjoy everything to host as well! Sit at the dining room table and overlook the ocean. The living room is complete with an extra large 70” TV, Fireplace, and loads of seating. Master has King Bed, TV, and private brand new bathroom. Guest Room #1 has a Queen Bed and Guest Room #2 has a King Bed with 2 Twin Trundles - perfect for the kids or simply a couple. brbrDownstairs is a separate apartment with its own private entrance at ground level. Walk in to a full living room with 50” TV and full kitchen (that means 2 ovens and 2 fridges in the house for large groups!). The living room has a super comfy Sofa Bed. A Queen Bedroom is also in the downstairs apartment with a full bathroom (that has an incredible shower). The downstairs is great for someone that requires a little extra privacy or needs an escape. The downstairs is also fully equipped with 2 desks, a monitor, and desk chairs in the downstairs living room and downstairs bedroom. And it's right on the beach - not an 'ocean-view' a couple of blocks from the beach or across the street from the beach, or even a piano lot (with only a small strip that extends between the houses to the beach). Seas the Day is right on the beach and the house is gorgeous. brbrNow wait a minute...I bet you think I'm just saying that. As a matter of fact, you may note some of our guests jokingly refer to the 'Buddy's walk'. Buddy's is a bar/restaurant by the pier, which is a nice 1 mile walk on the beach. Some people, including my brother, myself and our two wives like to walk down to Buddy's at lunch time, watch the surfers by the pier, order oyster shooters, and... possibly a cerveza or two (that's Spanish for beer) and maybe a tequila shooter. Well, the walk back is now quite enjoyable. We often just come back, lay out a towel and catch some rays and a snooze. The Buddy's walk - a perfect way to spend a vacation day.brbrDo you like to bike or run There is a bike shoulder on the main road the entire way from the north side of Surf City to the south tip of the island. The island is like 22 miles long, so you can get a good work out.brbrRecently I rode my bike to the south end, and the smell of Jasmin and ocean air was unbelievable. I stopped on the far south point of the island and walked around the beach on the undeveloped point. I then rode back to Topsail Beach city hall and said hi to the ladies who worked there. (They had kindly sent me an invitation to pay real estate tax in their city even though my house was in Surf City. I graciously declined :-) but they were very pleasant.) I then rode back to Surf City and promptly bought an ice cream cone by the pier just to make sure I hadn't burnt off too many calories.brbrBelieve me, this place is fun.brbrAnd I haven't even told you about Daddy Mac's on-the-beach sea food, Shuckin' Shack with it's oysters, or about Sears Landing and its award winning clam chowder made with sherry, or Bouchaines 211 - the best restaurant overlooking the sound that you will ever find. Oh, and how about the fresh fish market (I mean right off the boat) behind the Crab Pot where you can get shrimp, flounder, shark or whatever they have been catching and take it back and grill it at Seas the Day.brbrYou can play 18 holes at Coastal Carolina's only four-star golf course, North Shore Golf and Ocean Club (as per Golf Digest). brbrSurf shops that make me wish I was 18 again, 55 Burgers and Shakes, the Daily Grind coffee and wine bar and on and on. The wine bar is called unWINEd. The owner, Jeremy, is a friend of mine. Tell him Steve Morrison sent you. He'll take good care of you. You won't want to leave.brbrAnd I haven't even talked about surf fishing, kayaking, surfing, jet skiing and more (check out the Boat Rental picture I included if you want to rent a boat or jet-ski)brbrMy teenage son once walked up the stairs to the living room and said 'This place just makes you smile!'brbrI still think OUR GUESTS SAY IT BEST:brbr'We loved the outside shower, complete wtih room for dry clothes and towels! Very kid friendly, my 13-month-old niece could wander around and the gates kept her safe. Topsail itself is so peaceful. We went to the sound side a few times to fish, canoe, and take the baby swimming. We golfed, ran, sailed (you have very nice neighbors who invited us!), and fished from the surf (caught sharks, stingrays, and a few fish). Such a great house -- plenty of space, well decorated, and everything you need in the kitchen for eating in!' These large beautify pastel town homes makeup the town shore line and sit on North Shore drive in the 100 block just past Daddy Mac’s. You can truly park your car when you arrive and not get in it again for your entire vacation! Walking distance (1/2 mile or less) to 15 eating establishments from snow cones and ice cream to some of the islands best restaurants! You can even walk to the marina and rent a boa, go out on a fishing charter or take a dinner cruise. Walk to the surf city park and enjoy free Friday night outdoor movies and concerts or just enjoy all that the town has to offer. When you come home you can relax by the private community pool overlooking the beach (Private to the 8 luxury town homes). The pool is just exclusive enough to retain the privacy but gives the children and young adults a chance to make friends quickly. brbrWhile this home has “location, location, location”, the real benefit is the quality of the home itself. The first thing that you will notice is the quality of the construction. The home features porcelain tile and bamboo hardwood throughout, heavy trim work and 10 ft ceilings. The quality construction also includes heavy insulation, so you will immediately be impressed by how quiet the home is (important when you are vacationing with a large group). Each of the 4 main bedrooms is a master (having its own private full bathroom attached). Three of the 4 main bedrooms feature King size beds and the 4th bedroom features a custom built Twin XL over queen bunk bed and a twin over twin bunk bed. The fifth bedroom is on the entry level and has a twin over full bunk to help accommodate the overflow when unexpected additional guests show up (because you know when you have a wonderful place at the beach ….it will happen!). Note that this room does not have a private bathroom, but your guest will find it far superior to a sofa sleeper alternative for your overflow that is offered in many other homes!!) Everyone will appreciate the elevator to move luggage, food and family between floors.brbrWe rented for nearly 30 years before we were finally able to purchase our own rental property in Topsail.
