The cabin is modern yet rustic and contains two bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen), 2 baths, and a modern kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. It also features generous outside decks with an outdoor eating area, wireless internet, Direct TV, a washer and dryer, and a gas grill. Guests can enjoy the solitude of the area while rocking on the covered back porch. This porch, which overlooks Pisgah Forest, features ample seating for large groups, as well as a ceiling fan and variable lighting to guarantee year-round comfort. Bear Ridge View, with its knotty-pine paneling and charming décor featuring a mix of unique antiques and newer pieces, is an ideal cabin for couples or small families.brbrThe efficiency cabin, known as the “Moonshine Shack”, is located adjacent to this cabin and features one large main room, including a kitchenette and sleeping area, as well as one bath and a covered porch. This cabin got its name due to the fact that it was the site of a moonshine operation run by the prior owner. The Moonshine Shack can be rented for an additional fee of $50/nt plus a $35 cleaning fee to provide additional sleeping quarters for the occupants of Bear Ridge. In the basement there is a great space to park bikes indoors when you're off the trails! brbrWe have recently installed a large smart TV in the living area so you can stream your favorite shows. There is a set of speakers you can plug into your laptop or tablet. Washer and dryer are available in the basement. brbrHead outside and enjoy the fire pit located up in the center of the driveway. There is a small, shallow pond on the far side of the house with a second fire pit. PLEASE USE CAUTION AROUND THE POND, ESPECIALLY WITH SMALL CHILDREN. The house is on one acre, but it is not fenced in.brbrThe Red Chalet is located 6 miles from downtown Brevard (~13 minute drive), 7 miles from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest (~15 minute drive) and 15 miles from Dupont State Forest (~25 minute drive).brbrPlease note there is another house located close by and the houses share a driveway. This makes the Red Chalet a little less secluded than you might otherwise expect so please take this into account. Please respect the neighbors and keep quiet late night.brbrPET NOTE: Dogs only, no cats please.brbrWe are so excited to host your visit!
