Hillside Hideaway in Glen Cannon

Dishwasher was unplugged.it took awhile to figure out why it wasn't working. We could not get upstairs fireplace to work. No grab bars in any shower. A towel was taken by mistake and I will return it to your office soon.

We had plenty of space for our family of four and two dogs. The house has everything you need for a mountain home base. The neighborhood has beautiful creeks and a waterfall, a 10-minute drive from downtown Brevard. Pisgah Forest, Dupont, and several hikes on the Blueridge Parkway are easy to access. Our kids loved the old shuffleboard table and the scooters kept in the garage. The wrap-around porch is great for morning coffee and listening to the sounds of the forest. We have a few deer visit the yard one afternoon.

We loved our stay in this home. Even though it is in a residential area the home's location makes yuo feel as if you're alone on the side of a mountain and you're still very close to essentials along with intertesting places to visit. The people at White Squirrel Realty were exceptionally professional, helpful, friendly, and I would recommend them as a very good option for booking vacation rentals.

The house has great space in a great location. The layout worked well for our family. It appears to have been recently renovated so the house feels pretty new inside. Our stay was clouded by the fact that the basement has mold. Our children struggled with hives and asthma attacks throughout our stay, and the adults experienced respiratory symptoms. If the mold is remediated, then I would recommend this home to others.

The home was just as it was pictured. The fenced area worked well for our dogs. The drive way was steeper than expected. But nothing our vehicle couldn't handle

This home was even better than we expected. A huge amount of space, we could have had twice the group we had (just our family of 5 stayed). It was super close to our family we were visiting, and had a fenced in area for the dog. Very clean and lots of spare linens plus a fully stocked laundry room, only notes on cleaning would be a few spiderwebs here and there. We were surprised to see a piano which my oldest started playing right away. The other surprise was a shuffleboard table but sadly it was out of sand so we couldn’t play - I alerted the rental group and anticipate this will be fixed for the next group. 10/10 - would definitely stay again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect fit for our weekend. The fenced area out back was nice to be able to let the dog out. She liked running around the deck area. The communication and info I received was very helpful.

We had a wonderful time with friends. It will always be a special memory kicking off Christmas at Hillside Hideaway. The representative I worked with while booking was knowledgeable and handle my questions efficiently. She assisted in making the booking process simple.

Overall very pleased with the beautiful location and large house stocked with essentials and amenities. We had a fantastic time.
