It is a ranch-style home with a cathedral-ceiling great room that comprises a full kitchen and living area. A master bedroom (queen bed) plus two full bathrooms complete the ground level dwelling. There is a down-stairs living area that is comprised of a large bed-room that hosts a queen size bed, a futon (pull out full size bed) and an amish made rocker. Stairs leading to the downstairs bed-room/living area are complete with log rails & log gate for safety. Mountain Home has a covered porch with comfortable Adirondack Chairs plus an open deck to relax outdoors.br There is an outdoor grill (bring your own charcoal) and fire pit (please keep fires small and contained). An outdoor hose is available. Soft sandy ground easily tracks through the home so please, we ask that you remove your shoes upon entering. Water is safe to drink. Septic system on property can handle toilet paper only.br The Mountain Home is cleaned with all natural cleaners by (PUR Evergreen) products, Milliken, Co.br Ausable Acres is a quiet neighborhood. Evening quiet hours are in place from 10pm to 7am. . As such, we have the expectation that our guests will honor the peace & quiet of the surrounding area. Both of the king-size bedrooms are located on the second floor, one of which boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to the front of the accommodation. The twin bedroom on the main floor features an additional children's mattresses that pull out from under one of the two aforementioned twin beds. The amazing views can be enjoyed from the large deck or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. Bike, walk, hike and cross country ski on the surrounding country side. More extensive activities can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are only 4 miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a 15 mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. There are also plenty of wonderful local restaurants (Keane) and bars (Lake Placid and AuSable Forks). Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with 3000 sq. feet of living space. This pine log home features a great room on the main floor with a fireplace and twenty six foot high ceilings and plenty of glass front to let in the views. Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with plenty of seating, and a kitchen will all top of the line appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor are two bedrooms with king beds and a full bathroom. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and a walkout balcony. There is also a master bath with shower and a deep soaking tub. The second floor also has a loft area with a guest computer and a reclining chair. On the lower level there is a bedroom with a twin bunk/trundle bed and a twin/full trundle bed to sleep 4-8 kids! The bedroom has huge glass windows and french doors to take in the views. There is also a very large rec room with ping pong and a TV media room with plenty of entertainment options. The lower level also has a full bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. On the deck you will find a BBQ, a hammock, and a dining set with an umbrella. On the outside, there is a covered 7 person Hot Tub and a 6 person Sauna situated over a patio that leads to the fire pit under the stars!! Lastly, this home has zoned heating and individually controlled cooling in all bedrooms and common areas. There is also a RV Hookup as well as an EV Charger! Finally, there is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay!brbrbrMinimum Stay Requirements:brWinter months of December, January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. Your dog will be exhausted from watching and listening to the 100s of chipmunks! S/he will need a vacation after her/his vacation.brThe ground/1st/driveway level is a safe space to leave your dog if you are going out and don't want to crate him. It is an all-TILE space, approximately 11' x 25'. You can keep him safe and happy while you are gone. No need to crate doggie nor the hassle of bringing the bulky crate!
