Polebridge, Montana
Surrounded with incredible mountain views, this charming cabin is located at the west entrance to Glacier National Park in the remote North Fork of the Flathead Valley in Polebridge, MT. It is approximately 1 mile from the Polebridge Merchantile.
Our cozy cabin is off-grid and situated in the ideal vacation spot to experience the untouched lands of the North Fork yet enjoy some of the conveniences of home. There is indoor 'on demand' hot water and a generator should electricity be occasionally needed. Our cabin also offers a phone, full indoor bath, kitchen furnished with basic eating and cooking utensils, propane refrigerator, propane range, living area, dining area, etc. The ambiance is superb with the warmth of quaint propane wall sconces providing light each night. Linens & towels provided.
Sleeps 4 people comfortably (extra nightly charge for more than 4 guests). Futon folds out into a queen bed, bunk bed offers double bed on bottom & twin on top if needed.
Chairs are provided on the porch to relax & enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Convenient to many North Fork attractions including The Polebridge Mercantile, Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant and Glacier National Park. The 'MERC' provides groceries, fresh ground coffee and home baked treats (Danish, bread and sandwiches, etc,) gifts, gas, propane, film, fishing tackle and beer while the Northern Lights Saloon/Restaurant serves excellent food in a rustic style restaurant and pub.
Please note, this cabin (as well as all properties in the North Fork area) is off grid and cannot accommodate a CPAP machine or those with special medical conditions.
The North Fork Road is an unpaved mountain road and the condition is dependent upon the weather conditions. You can expect some potholes due to snow melt, etc. We recommend traveling in a truck or SUV.
The cabin is just as described. Very clean and the location from the front porch and windows- words don't do it justice. We lucked out with little to no smoke from local fires effecting our stay. Nice location to the Polebridge GNP entrance, not a bad drive to Going to the Sun Road. Great hikes close to the cabin in the park and outside of the park. Absolutely perfect escape to nature, no cell signal or tech distractions is such a beautiful setting was real treat! Thank you!
Nice cabin, great views, off the beaten path which was nice, will definitely be staying here again
The cabin was clean and had most of what we needed. The location to get into Glacier National Park was a real win, although still a drive. The road construction was rough-but we were forewarned. The Nothern Lights and the Merc were great! (Only comments about the cabin was it was quite hot; and the person who slept in top bunk felt the gas fumes from gas lights were quite strong -even with all windows open.) The automatic hot water was greatly appreciated after our days hiking.
Loved the setting and peaceful surrounding. Polebridge Merc and Saloon are extremely welcoming and evening music was delightful! Crisp air was invigorating!! Will be back!
We loved being off the beaten path, far from the hustle and bustle of GNP with no wi-fi, street or even people noise. The cabin is very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a nice stay...including warm water! We enjoyed the views of the lovely mountains, watching deer roam out our winder and the great trout fishing in walking distance. My son caught at least 30 trout on a single evening! We will definitely come back again!
perfect spot for the area it is in.
Snug and quiet stay in a very clean cabin. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch on warm evenings. I removed a star for “accuracy of listing” at the behest of my husband, who felt the listing’s photo of the view should have more accurately captured that there are large piles of chopped down trees and soil in front and to the side of the cabin. Still beautiful, though.
Amazing cabin that is very well done. Very comfortable and well thought out. The location is walking distance to Fork ranger station.
It was clean and quiet with all the basic amenities.
Really loved the propane lights! Only used the generator to shower. Total darkness, total peace and quiet. Closest you can get to bowman and kintla lake without camping there.
