The living room opens to a walkout patio overlooking the first fairway with seating. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a full bathroom, and a sliding door to the outside patio while the spacious second bedroom includes two full-size beds, full bathroom, and kitchenette. WIFI and smart TV and/or Roku for streaming on the living room and second bedroom TV are included for your enjoyment. Additional condo features include a full-size washer and dryer in the utility room and a one car garage. brbrCutting right across the front of the CCC property is the Little Traverse Wheelway. This 29 mile long paved path runs from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs and is great for bikers, joggers, hikers and skaters. brbr***From July - August, we rent by the week only, with the weeks running 4 pm Sunday thru 11 am Sunday.***brbrPre approval is needed for pets and may be allowed with a $75 pet fee per stay. The living room is an open concept to the kitchen. The bar seats four and we also have a small drop leaf table that will seat two. The living room has a new pullout sofa with an air mattress attached for added comfort, two new recliners and a 44 inch flat screen, smart TV. We have a laundry area with a new stacked washer and dryer. There is a small sitting area in front of the house. In the backyard, we have a small deck with a patio set, porch lights, gas grill and a fire pit with fireside chairs. We also offer bikes and beach towels. Our home has cable, WIFI, central air and heat. We are located in a quiet, family oriented neighborhood six blocks from downtown and 3.7 miles to the Castle. I am sorry! The condo is easily walkable to the downtown district by crossing the pedestrian friendly Charlevoix Memorial drawbridge. The double-leaf bascule bridge opened in June of 1949 and carries US-31 across Island Lake Outlet, (also known as the Pine River Channel). The drawbridge is an iconic part of downtown and a highlight for visitors to watch as the bridge opens up for boats to pass though. Upon crossing the bridge by foot or car, the downtown is situated overlooking the beautiful boats of the marina to the east nestled in with boutique shopping, coffee shops, and restaurants. A few blocks drive to the west of downtown is Michigan Beach on Lake Michigan. Accordion style doors are throughout the house as Earl designed houses to make absolute best use of the space. All of this adds to the fun of staying at a mushroom house!brbrSince the Mushroom Houses are famous tourist sites, you will have people outside in the road taking pictures of the house. Every inch of the home is pristine, and very well set-up for an easy and relaxed experience. brEverything is so thoughtful, the Nespresso, fully stocked with every flavor imaginable and sugar/sweetener, pretty much everything at your fingertips.brThe king bed is CRAZY comfy, as are the pillows and blankets. Sparkling clean, but lush and soft and just delightful. Really nice towels, sheets...every amenity is high end. You are truly within a few feet of the water, but protected by a wooded area, so the walk to the beach is minutes. It is quiet and insulated, for a genuinely peaceful experience. You can walk down Park Avenue to several lovely restaurants for carry- out or dine-in, steps from the most charming little downtown area, but distant enough that it's downright bucolic.brThe highlights of the home are the beautiful fireplace and the outdoor deck area. The fireplace puts off so much warmth, the room is enormous, but so well laid out, it manages to be open and expansive but also cozy. On our one rainy day we just had a movie marathon in that lovely, restful, snug room...precious family time. The back porch is just charming, with a very unique design, cozy and private but picturesque...simply gorgeous.brThe value is extraordinary, this home is spacious and comfortable and just so special. The blue door house was established on Air B&B in 2021. My husband and I saw this house last year and fell in love with it and bought it with plans to renovate it. When chatting with our neighbor soon after we found out that it was built in the 1890s. I had this idea to add accents of that era to the house while making it functional and comfortable for our guests hence the tiled flooring in the bathrooms and the kitchen While many updates to the house were completed, the Overall structure of the house has not been changed hence including steps which are narrow and steep and slanted roof line. Please be careful climbing up/down those stairs and hang on to the railing. This house is a work in progress, and we are constantly improving the facilities like addition of fireplace(electric) and new furniture like custom dining chairs and decorations.
