You can enjoy the seclusion of the space, while also enjoying modern amenities to keep you comfortable and entertained.brbrThe Dome is an open, loft-like structure with no doors. In the main structure, there are three bedrooms (two queen & two twin beds). The beds are well hidden behind walls, so there is visual privacy for sleeping and changing, but when everyone is in their bed, you could easily have conversations with each other. One bedroom on the second floor has a curtain door that allows you total visual privacy. Be sure you're friendly with people you are booking with!brbrThe bathroom does have a proper door, a large two person shower, and a sunroom that gets nice and toasty when the sun is out, winter or summer.brbr**HALF BATH currently being installed, should be complete by April/May 2023. The Chalet will also have the outhouse up and running by then!**brbrThere is a barn within a stones throw of the Dome that has recently been renovated. It has electricity and heat, but no running water. brbrThe basement will be locked and off limits to guests as this is where the batteries are that power the Dome and could be dangerous to those not properly trained.brbrThere is also a wood burning stove in the main dome structure that is off limits to guests due to safety precautions.brbrI live in Boston, so you will check in and out yourself and I will be available remotely for you. I can be there within two hours for any emergencies or have many local friends and contractors who could assist with any immediate needs.brbrThe propane tank will always be full upon arrival, however, the solar energy cannot be controlled. In the summer when the sun is strong, you shouldn't have any issues with power. If you are staying in the winter you may need to be more conscientious of your power consumption especially if there are multiple cloudy/snowy days. If the Dome loses power, there is a generator that you can turn on that runs off of the propane tank.brbrThere are 120V outlets throughout the Dome that will power your personal devices, but we ask that you only use the appliances we supply for you and do not use or bring high-use appliances like electric tea kettles, crock pots, hair dryers, straighteners, irons, etc.brbrThe Dome Home is located in Kennebunkport, Maine. Kennebunkport is an amazing community with countless local shops, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, concert halls and local businesses featuring artists, farmers, and craftspeople. brbrFrom the Dome, you are about 10 minutes from the Goose Rocks Beach and 15-20 minutes from downtown Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, Biddeford, Saco, and Cape Porpoise. About 30 minutes north is Portland and 30 minutes south is Kittery. The Dome is right in the middle of it all!brbrDriving to the Dome from the North or South, use I-95 and you can get off at the Biddeford exit 32 or right before the Kennebunk service plaza at exit 25. It is about 1:45 minutes from Boston. brbrYou will need a car to get to the Dome and to go on fun adventures. There is a private dirt road for the property. In the winter if there is snow on the ground, having a vehicle with AWD is recommended. If you have a low-riding car, please be cautious when driving down the dirt path and try to avoid any holes that may scratch the bottom of your vehicle.brbrThe Dome has ample parking, we just ask that you try to stay on the dirt road. DO NOT park on the lawn area in front of the Dome, as this is where the septic tank is and your car will fall in!

brBetween Kennebunkport and Cape Porpoise sits a 4 bedroom house in the trees.brOur house has two bedrooms on the first floor and a family room with a wet bar and a 50” flat screen TV. The first floor bath has a tiled 6’ power shower and a granite topped sink. brThe upstairs has a living room, a dining area, a fully equipped cherry kitchen with an island breakfast bar for three. Also a queen size bedroom, another bedroom with 2 twin beds (can be combined to one king sized bed), a full bath with deep soaking tub and a tiled shower. On this floor there is a small deck off of the living room and a large deck off the kitchen with a gas grill and a table with seating for 6. We have internet. Bring books as every bed has a reading light. brThere is a lovely yard with gardens, birch trees, stone walls and staircases, so it feels like living in the trees. Plenty of parking. Limit of 6 guests any night. No exceptions.brThe house is fully equipped with towels and sheets, just bring your bikes, and toys. We provide beach towels and beach chairs.brGuests arrive at 3pm on a SATURDAY only, and leave by 10 am the next Saturday. Please leave your shoes inside at the entrance. Absolutely no pets or guests with pets (owner allergic) and NO smoking inside the house. brbrBook now for summer of 2025. This is a bright, relaxing, and comfortable home in a great location that was built by the owners with love. This is our primary residence but when renting, you will have the exclusive use of the house. We stay in neighboring property and will be able to assist with any needs and to make sure you have everything necessary for a great vacation. brWe are happy to share our wonderful home and land with good people who will respect it. It is a fantastic location in the village of Cape Porpoise which is part of Kennebunkport. This home is unique as it is in the woods, yet a short walk to gorgeous water views and the conveniences of the village. Launch canoes or kayaks launch right across the street!brbrFrom the back porch, you will walk through the mudroom to see the big kitchen which is open to the living room and dining area. There is a downstairs master bedroom with master bath. A 1st floor 1/2 bath and laundry room as well. Upstairs leads to an art studio which is a loft style room that's somewhat open to downstairs living room/kitchen but can be used for additional sleeping with queen air mattress in closet. Upstairs you will also find 2 identical bedrooms and a full bath. brbrIt's nice on a hot day to lay in the hammocks under the shade on our back porch. Or soak up the sun on the front patio where you can catch glimmers of the bay through the trees. Take a relaxing hot shower in the open air in our outdoor shower to wash the sand off from the beach. We have chickens but they will not be let out unless guests want them roaming around. You can help yourself to fresh eggs. brIf you have children they will enjoy the playhouse with sandbox, little climbing wall and slide. This is also a wonderful place for bike riding as we are off a Dead end road (Langsford Rd.) with beautiful views of the bay, fishing pier,and Goat Island Lighthouse.brbrNeighbors are visible yet you are surrounded by trees and have privacy. Stroll down the driveway which opens up to Cape Porpoise Harbor. Across the street is a fish house where you can buy fresh tuna (sashimi grade!), or lobsters and clams caught that day, they'll even steam them for you! In minutes you can walk to Bradburys Market in the center of Cape Porpoise and grab some supplies/vacation essentials. You can walk to the Musette for a delicious breakfast (also serves lunch and dinner). Or stroll down beautiful Pier Road, around the head of the cove, to the fishing pier with seafood restaurants. Watch the boats come in with today's catch. This is all in our backyard, no car needed. brbrHowever; driving to local beaches is easy with over 5 beaches within 4 miles. Drive or bicycle down scenic ocean avenue past the Bush family compound to Kennebunkport, only 2.5 miles from the house for shopping, restaurants, and many more activities, including whale watches and sailing tours. brbrWe will be more than happy to offer advice on activities in the area and assist with any other needs.
