Plan your first 24 hours easy: drink double your usual water, ease up on alcohol, and avoid heavy exertion the day you arrive. Symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, and shortness of breath. We cannot offer refunds for altitude sickness — if you're prone, consider travel insurance.brbrbrbrNO A/C: Nights in Leadville run 40s–50s even in July. Windows and cross-breezes handle daytime warmth. A/C is not installed and is not needed at this elevation.brbrbrbrNO PETS: The Rosemont is a pet-free home.brbrbrbrFIREPLACE: Natural gas fireplace in the main living room. Operating instructions arrive with your check-in email. Please do not burn wood or paper in the fireplace.brbrbrbrSPIRAL STAIRCASE: Access to the loft bedroom is via a spiral staircase. Guests with mobility issues should plan accordingly; the other three bedrooms are on the main level.brbrbrbrKIDS: Crib and baby gate available on request. Please request in advance so we can have them set up before your arrival.brbrbrbrPARKING: Approximately 2 vehicle spaces in front of the home, not guaranteed. Leadville's Victorian streets were built before cars. If your group has 3+ vehicles, plan to disperse some to nearby blocks. Please park directly in front of the rental.brbrbrbrCHECKOUT TIME: Checkout is 10:00 AM. This is earlier than some rentals — please plan departure accordingly.brbrbrbrQUIET HOURS: Leadville observes Quiet Hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Turning off exterior lights during those hours helps the neighborhood enjoy dark skies.brbrbrbrWILDLIFE: You're at elevation in the Rockies. Expect the occasional insect or small critter. We pest-treat regularly and ask that you keep doors closed.brbrbrbrLICENSE: City of Leadville License #003492.brbrbrbrFor stays longer than 15 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. This helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensures the home stays comfortable for the duration of your stay.brbrbrbrARRIVAL EMAIL: Look for our arrival email with a link to the digital guidebook — check your spam folder. The guidebook has your door code, WiFi password, fireplace instructions, and local tips.brbrbrbrInteraction with Guests:brbrTraverse Hospitality manages The Rosemont. Your check-in instructions, door code, WiFi password, fireplace operating instructions, and a full Leadville guidebook (walking-distance restaurants, trailheads, ski conditions, emergency contacts) arrive by email before your stay. We monitor messages every day and respond quickly — most guests never need us, but we're one text away if you do. Crib and baby gate available on request.

The Shamrock — 5BR Leadville Home, Game Room + 2-Car Garage, Sleeps 10

Leadville, Colorado, United States

Summary:brbrThe Shamrock — a 5-bedroom Leadville home built for the 6–10-person ski group: renovated basement game room with foosball and ping pong, fully stocked kitchen, sun room, and a 2-car garage that fits the gear plus a roof box.brbrbrbr✔ 5 bedrooms / 3.5 bathrooms / sleeps 10 (3 Queen + 2 Double beds)brbr✔ Renovated basement game room — foosball + ping pong + extra hangout cornerbrbr✔ Sun room + south-facing deck with seating for daylight breaksbrbr✔ Full kitchen, gas grill, gas fireplacebrbr✔ East and west mountain viewsbrbr✔ 2-car garage + driveway parking (rare for Leadville)brbr✔ ~1 mile from downtown Harrison Avenue (drive or bike in 5 min)brbr✔ ~15 min to Ski Cooper, ~35 min to Copper Mountain, ~45 min to Vail/Beaver CreekbrbrbrbrManaged by Traverse Hospitality — local, Superhost-rated, 4.83★ across 36 stays. ♡brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrThree finished levels — built for groups of 6–10 with a real game room, a stocked kitchen, and parking that doesn't make you fight Leadville's tight winter streets.brbrbrbr✔ Game room is renovated, not retrofitted — foosball + ping pong + basement hangout cornerbrbr✔ Sun room with full mountain views (east + west)brbr✔ South-facing deck stays warm and dry until Octoberbrbr✔ 2-car garage + driveway = up to 4 cars off-streetbrbr✔ Pet-free home (deep clean kept consistent)brbrbrbrBed configuration:brbr➔ Main-floor Bedroom — Queenbrbr➔ Upstairs Bedroom 2 — Queenbrbr➔ Upstairs Bedroom 3 — Queenbrbr➔ Upstairs Bedroom 4 — Doublebrbr➔ Upstairs Bedroom 5 — DoublebrbrbrbrBathrooms:brbr➔ Upstairs Full Bath 1brbr➔ Upstairs Full Bath 2brbr➔ Main-floor Half Bathbrbr➔ Basement 3/4 BathbrbrbrbrCommon spaces:brbr➔ Living Room with gas fireplace + smart TVbrbr➔ Kitchen + dining table for 10brbr➔ Sun Room with east-facing windowsbrbr➔ Basement Game Room (foosball + ping pong + second hangout)brbr➔ Outdoor: south-facing deck + gas grill + 2-car garagebrbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrSelf check-in via keypad — code is sent the day before arrival along with our digital guidebook covering trails, restaurants, ski shuttles, and altitude tips. Guests have access to the entire home including all five bedrooms, all bathrooms, the kitchen, sun room, basement game room, the south-facing deck, and the 2-car garage for vehicle and gear storage. The driveway holds two additional cars.brbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrThe Shamrock is on Ridge View — a quiet wooded residential street one mile west of downtown Leadville's National Historic Landmark District.brbrbrbr✔ 1 mile to Harrison Avenue (downtown's restaurant/brewery row) — 5-min drive or 20-min walkbrbr✔ City Market grocery: 1 mile (stop on the way in to stock the kitchen)brbr✔ Mineral Belt Trail trailhead: 0.5 mile from the door (paved 11.6-mile loop, ski/bike/run all year)brbr✔ Tabor Opera House + National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum: 1.5 milesbrbr✔ Ski Cooper (locals' mountain, no lift lines): ~15 minutesbrbr✔ Copper Mountain: ~35 minutes · Vail/Beaver Creek: ~45 minutesbrbr✔ Twin Lakes (summer fishing/boating, Mount Elbert trailhead): ~25 minutesbrbr✔ East and west mountain views from the home — both sunrise and sunsetbrbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrThe Shamrock has a 2-car garage plus a driveway — meaning four cars (or two cars plus a roof-box-ready van) park off-street, which is rare in Leadville. A car is essential for this property: downtown Leadville is one mile away, Ski Cooper is ~15 minutes, Copper Mountain ~35, and Vail/Beaver Creek ~45 — there is no public transit between Leadville and the resorts. CMC's free in-town shuttle covers a small loop downtown but does not reach Ridge View or the resorts. Allow extra time for snow/ice conditions Nov–April; plowing on Ridge View is reliable but Leadville averages 100+ inches of annual snow.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrALTITUDE — Leadville sits at 10,200 ft, the highest incorporated city in North America. Some guests experience altitude symptoms (headache, fatigue, mild nausea) the first 24 hours. Hydrate aggressively, take it easy on day one, skip alcohol the first night, and consider travel insurance if you're prone to altitude sickness — we cannot offer refunds for altitude-related issues.brbrbrbrNO A/C — Leadville stays cool year-round at 10,200 ft; A/C is not standard in any home here and is rarely needed. Summer nights drop to the 40s.brbrbrbrNO HOT TUB — This home does not have a hot tub. If a hot tub is essential, ask us about other Traverse properties.brbrbrbrNO PETS — This is not a pet-friendly home.brbrbrbrPARKING — 2-car garage + driveway fits up to 4 vehicles total off-street. Garage is included in the rental — store skis, bikes, roof boxes, and cars.brbrbrbrWILDLIFE — You may encounter local wildlife (foxes, deer) and the occasional small critter that's part of mountain living on the wooded edge of town. Doors stay closed; we maintain ongoing pest control.brbrbrbrLICENSE — Lake County Land Use STR license #2025-069.brbrbrbrFor stays longer than 15 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. This helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensures the home stays comfortable for the duration of your stay.brbrbrbrGUIDEBOOK — A digital guidebook with check-in info, restaurant recs, trail maps, and ski-day logistics is sent via email link the day before arrival. This is the only path to your check-in info, so please look for it.brbrbrbrInteraction with Guests:brbrWe are local Leadville-based property managers. Self check-in via keypad means you can arrive late without coordinating; we send the code, the digital guidebook, and an introduction text the day before arrival. We're available by phone, text, or message 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for anything during your stay — restaurant recommendations, trail conditions, plumbing emergencies, whatever — and we run a 24/7 emergency line for urgent issues outside those hours. We don't drop in unannounced.

Sam would speak frequently about the best place to trap while he carved his unique spades. When he didn’t show for several winters it was decided that he must have died and the location of his mine would never be known. One day in the 1890’s a miner prospecting near tree line saw an old cabin beside a mine shaft. The miner took a sample from the mine and grabbed one of the spades before returning to town. An old-timer saw the spade and recognized it as one of Trapper Sam’s, and the two spent many years searching for the mine that had once been stumbled upon.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrGuests have access to their private home.brbrbrbrPlease Note: We do utilize a weblink outside the platform that directs guests to our guidebook.
