The living room is a great place to relax, with leather furniture, maple hardwood floors, a large HDTV and wood burning fireplace. Off the living room you have a good size covered deck. Lounging furniture and elevated armchairs make this a great place to take in your surroundings. You'll find granite countertops in the bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. The decor is very tastefully done, western and outdoorsy, but not too much so. Bedroom 1 features a log framed Queen bed, views of the mountains and lakes, a ceiling fan, an HDTV, and an ensuite half bathroom. Please note that the bed sits about 3 feet off the ground so you can view Mount Baldy from bed. A stepstool is available in the unit if needed. Bedroom 2 has a Queen over Queen bunk bed, making this bedroom perfectly suited for couples, singles, kids, or a mix. The full bathroom is off the hall, convenient to both bedrooms as well as the main living space. It is a split bathroom, which allows one person to use the vanity area while another person uses the toilet, shower, or bathtub - convenient and functional. brbrLocation:brThe best thing about this location is the views. Here, you're within the town of Grand Lake, but not right in the heart of downtown, and that's a good thing. This is an easy walk to town along the well maintained and flat dirt road right in front of the house. This home has its own private dock that can easily accommodate any toy you wish to bring. Outdoor firepit just off the water allows you to visit and roast marshmallows as the sun sets over the lake. It wouldn't be surprising to see some amazing wildlife right outside your door. brThis luxury villa is built of the finest materials and every room and window highlights the amazing views. A code will be provided upon booking.brbrWe recommend having a car to get around during your trip. There is phenomenal hiking, wildlife, skiing, and hot springs all within a 30 minute drive (or less) of the cabin!brbrIf you are traveling during the winter months, December through March, we highly recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle so that you don`t have any issues getting over Berthoud Pass. Winter weather can start as early as October and go as late as May. Please check the weather and plan ahead!brbrFor severe weather, we do have a strict cancellation policy as defined by Airbnb. However, we are sensitive to those traveling in the mountains when the weather is capable of shutting down the roads. If highways are closed due to severe weather, we will provide at minimum a partial refund for the night(s) affected by closed roads. If the highways are open, the remaining nights will still be charged full price. Typically, roads are not closed for more than 24 hours at a time.brbrThere is a $300 deposit for the cabin. It is not charged to you upon booking, only reserved in the case of damage or theft. If something gets damaged or broken, please let us know and we will figure out a solution.brbr**There are two main routes into Grand Lake if you are coming from the East. The quickest way is to take I-70 to Berthoud Pass. Denver to Grand Lake is a 2 hour drive. The second route, over Trail Ridge Road through RMNP is more scenic and costs $25/car. If you drive from Denver, over Trail Ridge Road and into Grand Lake it is about a 3 hour drive.br**Please note that Trail Ridge Road is closed throughout the winter as most of the road is above treeline. Please visit https://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/road_status.htm to check daily closures of the road. brbrPlease note that if you cancel a booked reservation, and it is within the timeframe for a full refund, you will receive the refund minus the credit card processing fee of 2.9%.
