With an open-concept design, it’s perfect for gathering with loved ones or spending quality time with your significant other. brbrSavor nature on the private Nature Trail, an easy hike through our 4 acres highlighting the thrill of living by engaging your five senses, zip down the 200’ long driveway on one of our sleds when it snows, or relax on your expansive deck, complete with a hot tub, BBQ, and a private front yard fire pit—ideal for cozy nights under the stars. brbrInside, the spacious, fully-equipped kitchen invites culinary adventures, while two relaxing living rooms, three beautiful bedrooms, a versatile den/playroom/bedroom, and two luxurious baths, all with soaring 9' ceilings ensure there’s room for everyone to spread out. brbrYou decide the temperature with the thermostat and air conditioning remote controls. Ceiling and room fans help keep eveyone comfortable. brbrJust FYI, as hosts/owners, we have over 300 5-star reviews on Another Big Booking site. Our cleaning fee is purposefully low so you only pay for what you use! brbrThough TimberStar Lodge was thoughtfully designed with our grandkids in mind—featuring plenty of toys, books, movies, and a thrilling outdoor rope swing—we haven’t forgotten the magic of a mountain retreat for two. This lodge is the perfect escape for couples looking to reconnect and rekindle their connection. The master bedroom, with its heavenly king-sized log bed, sets the stage for exciting nights, while the luxurious bath invites couples to indulge in a truly unforgettable experience. Step into the oversized shower, where you can share intimate moments in complete serenity. Or take a nature bath by meandering through the forest where you will find our Five Senses Nature Trail At just under 1/4 mile, immerse your senses in the sight, sounds, smells, feel and even taste on this easy, rejuvenating walk through the property. Starting with a pause at the relaxing hammock, you'll enjoy the thrill of finding each relaxation station by simply following the little pink flags. Kids can follow the flags to find all the hidden painted rocks to keep or re-hide along the path. brbrLocated in the “Banana Belt” of the Colorado Rockies, Florissant enjoys more moderate temperatures than some of our other mountain towns. We rarely get more than a few inches of snow in the winter and temps tend to hover in the 70’s and 80’s in the summer, although Mother Nature has been known to throw us an occasional curve ball! So, we have extra heaters and blankets in the chilly months and wall-mounted air conditioning in the warmer months. You get to control your comfort! And don't forget, the South Platte river is just minutes away for a cool float in the (4) tubes we provide. Want to ski Just 1 hr. 20 minutes from Breckenridge Ski Resort! brbrFlorissant Fossil Beds is just a 15-minute drive yet far enough away from light pollution to provide dark, star-filled skies. From the park, it is possible to see the Milky Way, other galaxies, star clusters, nebulae, planets, comets, and much more.brIn 2021, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument received certification as an International Dark Sky Park from the International Dark Sky Association (IDSA).brbrPlease note: There is absolutely no smoking of any kind inside the house and no fires of any kind allowed, which means no outdoor candles, bonfires, campfires or fireworks. We do have a propane fire pit you can use year round. Smoking is allowed on the back deck or on the front porch but please be extra responsible and use the provided ashtray. We are in a high fire danger zone.brbrDue to the owner's pet allergies, we do not allow pets at TimberStar Lodge. Please inquire before bringing a service animal. We also do not use scented cleaning products. brbrOur driveway is rather steep. If rain or snow is expected, please park in the upper parking area, even if you have 4-wheel drive. If you park in the lower parking and you get stuck, you will be responsible for getting yourself out. We do everything we can to keep the path clear, but it's Colorado.

Arrival instructions will be sent two days before your stay. br‣Check-in is at 4:00 PM — feel free to message us to see if early check-in might be possible (though we can’t guarantee it).br‣Check-out is at 11:00 AM so our cleaning team has enough time to prepare the cabin with care.brbr✦ Groceries & Supplies: brMost guests stop for groceries on their way in. The outdoor gas fire table is available year-round but may be restricted if Teller County issues a Stage 2 or Stage 3 fire ban. If that happens during your stay, we kindly ask that you follow county safety guidelines. Please book with this possibility in mind.brbr✦ Well & Water: brOur cabin’s well provides clean, fresh mountain water with a crisp natural taste—many guests love it. -Into the Woods A-Frame- Hot Tub- Fire Pit-

Florissant, Colorado, United States

Step into an ideal Colorado getaway at this completely renovated A-Frame. It is truly a gem with comfort and minimalism in mind. You will be sure to appreciate the modern mountain aesthetic and design! The Aframe sits on 6 acres filled with pine trees and rock outcroppings allowing for a secluded and private stay. A space like this would not be complete without a hot tub to soak in under a star-filled sky. You’re just a short drive to neighboring mountain towns including Divide, Lake George, and Florissant. brbrEntering the A-Frame you will be greeted with a newly renovated and fully stocked kitchen.brEnjoy ample counter space for making meals, a Keurig, a french press, and a hot cocoa bar! Additionally, the kitchen has all new appliances (refrigerator, stove, microwave, and more!). To the right of the entryway, you will find the single bathroom with a custom barn door, a full bathtub and shower, and esthetic lighting. Make your way to the cozy and spacious living room that boasts large windows allowing for beautiful views and natural light. Snuggle up with a blanket and stream your favorite show using the smart tv or use the blue tooth speaker to relax to some jams or choose from an assortment of games. A spiral staircase will take you to the lofted bedroom with a cozy queen memory foam mattress and luxurious linens. A great night's sleep awaits after a day of adventuring! The back deck is equipped with comfortable outdoor seating, a gas fire pit, and a grill making this the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful outdoors. Situated at the basebrof the deck stairs you will find the hot tub. Get ready to soak and truly unwind at this rare mountain home!brbrGuests have access to the entire property during their stay.brbrImportant (Please Read)!brbrWe do NOT accept check-in or check-out on holidays.brbrAbsolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. The gas firepit out back is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity.brbrPetsbrThis is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps on the lower level.brbrbrThe roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy!brbrThis cabin cannot run a lot of electrical items at once. All the amenities are available for you to use, we just ask that you be mindful of what you have running all at the same time.brbrThere is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin.brbrWe are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy.brbrThe spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous).brbrThis house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded we do have neighbors through the woods. Please be mindful of your noise.

Whimsical Dreams - Firepit- Kids Fort

Florissant, Colorado, United States

Unwind in this modern cozy cabin in the Colorado woods! Recently remodeled inside and out. Recently added is a Kids Fort right in the backyard! Come to fish at the local lake, hike hundreds of nearby trails, play the slots at Cripple Creek, and end your day relaxing on the secluded back deck. In the nearby town of Woodland Park, you can do your grocery shopping, have a beer, or grab a coffee and homemade donut! Or take the drive to Colorado Springs (50 minutes) to visit much more!brbrThis 1970s remodel is a perfect mix of cabin charm and modern, fresh decor. With an electric fireplace, comfy couch, and large TV in the living room, you can snuggle in and enjoy a 90s rom-com or read some old-school Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. The two bedrooms are right off the living room—one with a queen bed and the other with two twins, so you can all dream in close-ish comfort.brbrThe kitchen, with brand-new stainless steel appliances—including a gas stove—has absolutely everything you need to make a full meal, even a waffle maker and pancake griddle for your Sunday morning brunching pleasure. You’ll find the bathroom bright and peaceful, a perfect place to read the morning news and rinse off your post-hike sweat.brbrRecently added is Bobbers Den a modern shed converted to a Kids Fort right in the back yard, it is set with a climbing wall, hanging chairs, games, and more!brbrWith beautiful views of the surrounding pines and aspens, the back deck is the perfect place to start and end your days. Sip your coffee and contemplate life or enjoy an adult beverage and great conversation around the fire pit. Regardless, the fresh Colorado air will do you good!brbrYou’ll have access to the entire cabin and surrounding woods to explore. The kid's fort and surrounding woods are set with hammocks and a fire pit. The neighborhood has Magnuson Reservoir that you are able to fish on without a fishing license, you will need to sign the fishing pass that is provided at the property though.brbrCautionary Notes (Please Read)!brbrWe do NOT accept check in or check out on holidays.brbrAbsolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire in the area is too high. The gas firepit is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity.brbrThe roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy!brbrPetsbrThis is a pet-friendly listing for pets who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests.brbrThere is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors at night, then close them during the day and you stay cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin.brbrWe are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including, taking a day to rest when you arrive, drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help).brbrWhen you are on the back deck it feels very secluded but from the front deck, you can see the neighbors. It is a quiet and peaceful area.

There are also chipmunks, squirrels, hummingbirds, rabbits, elk, mountain lions, and a special pack of donkeys that live on the other side 42. One, in particular, we've affectionately nicknamed Hank who greets each day with a hee-haw!brbr✦Weather and Vehicles:brIn the winter, it's highly advisable to have a Wheel Drive or 4-Wheel Drive vehicle to access our cabin. The roads in and out of the neighborhood are regularly plowed but do have fairly steep grades. The driveway to the cabin will also be plowed about once per snowfall yet there's no way to determine the exact timing of such an event. Please be advised to make smart travel decisions and note that the cancellation policy remains in place and will NOT be changed subject to the weather.brbr✦Pets:brWe would be delighted to host you and your qualified pet. Behind the garage is a 16x30 ft dog-run enclosure so you can let your pup outside and off the leash. Let us know how old, how many pounds, spayed or neutered, and the breed. We also ask that you keep your buddies off the furniture, and off the beds. Please pick up after them.
