Guerneville Dog-Friendly Riverfront Lodge with Hot Tub

Guerneville, California, United States

Summary:brbrSunlight filters through towering redwoods onto the private hot tub where you'll soak after floating the Russian River. This 1930s log lodge sleeps 10 with room for your dogs to roam the enclosed yard. Step through the 11-foot picture window view to your private river beach — one of the best fishing holes in Guerneville. Just 0.2 miles from The Lodge at Dawn Ranch and 0.3 miles from downtown's taco trucks and cafes.brbrbrbrThe Space:brbrSpend mornings on the deck as mist lifts off the Russian River, afternoons floating the river or visiting Korbel and Joseph Jewell tasting rooms, and evenings around the firepit with the day's bottles.brbrbrbrThe vast great room rises beneath antler chandeliers, a stone fireplace anchoring leather Chesterfields and a Chesterfield sofa. An 11-foot picture window holds the river so persistently it might as well be a wall; a second seating area in soft blue-green tones spreads across Oriental rugs, and a small office loft above is set up for a stretch of remote work. The kitchen anchors with cherry cabinets, a gas range, and serious gear — KitchenAid mixer, commercial waffle iron, holiday-ready cookware — and the formal dining room sets six beneath a crystal chandelier.brbrbrbrOUTDOOR LIVINGbrbrThe covered patio is an outdoor room unto itself — exposed beam ceiling, brick fireplace, and ornate driftwood furniture set the scene. A vine-draped pergola shelters a picnic table for al fresco meals. The large meadow backyard leads directly to eight acres of private beach shared with just a few neighbors, featuring the best fishing hole in town. Soak in the private hot tub, fire up the BBQ, or claim a sunny spot in the spacious side yard.brbrbrbrSLEEPING ARRANGEMENTSbrbrThree bedrooms and a loft sleep up to ten guests. The first bedroom overlooks the river with a king bed in red and black plaid bedding with leopard print accents. The second riverfront bedroom features a king bed surrounded by log walls. The third bedroom holds two queen beds beneath an antler chandelier with colorful patterned bedding. Up in the loft, two twin beds offer a tucked-away retreat.brbrbrbrPROPERTY AMENITIESbrbr-- Private hot tubbrbr-- Full kitchen with high-end appliances and gas rangebrbr-- Washer and dryerbrbr-- Outdoor brick fireplacebrbr-- Enclosed yard (dog-friendly)brbr-- Parking for 3 vehiclesbrbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrSoak in the private hot tub as redwoods rise around the log lodge, then warm by the stone fireplace under antler chandeliers and exposed beams. You've got the whole home, dogs welcome, with a BBQ, outdoor dining, an enclosed yard, and river views through the trees. Grab the key from the lockbox; up to three cars fit, two in the driveway plus on-street out front.brbrbrbrThe Neighborhood:brbrYour riverfront perch puts you at the heart of Guerneville's best experiences. Stroll 0.2 miles to The Lodge at Dawn Ranch for farm-to-table dining or grab morning coffee there before your day begins. Downtown Guerneville's eclectic dining scene starts just 0.3 miles away — try Saucy Mama's soul food, the famous Guerneville Taco Truck at Safeway, or ZENSHI for handcrafted sushi. Stock up on provisions at Safeway (0.3 mi) or drive to Bartlett's Market (2.3 mi) for local specialties. Wine tasting awaits at Korbel Winery (2.2 mi) or venture to Gary Farrell Vineyards (5.8 mi) for panoramic valley views with your Pinot. Hike among ancient redwoods at Armstrong Woods (2.4 mi) or let your dogs run free at Bruno Farnocchia Dog Park (2.0 mi). Summer days call for floating from Johnson's Beach or launching kayaks at Guerneville River Park (0.6 mi). For a scenic drive, follow Highway 116 west through Monte Rio to where the Russian River meets the Pacific at Goat Rock Beach (7.5 mi).brbrbrbrGetting Around:brbrGuerneville is about 90 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a scenic drive through vineyards and into the redwoods. You'll have parking for up to three vehicles: two in the driveway plus street parking in front of the home. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it.brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbrThis home stays naturally cool thanks to river breezes and redwood shade — like most historic Russian River cabins, it doesn't have air conditioning. Exterior security cameras cover the property perimeter. Please note the decorative fireplace is not operational. Your dogs will love the enclosed yard and meadow — just remember to keep them on the furniture-free floor and always clean up after them. The eight-acre private beach is a rare amenity shared with just a few neighbors. It offers some of the best fishing in Guerneville if you're an angler. Quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM help preserve the peaceful river atmosphere. The home's eclectic mix of antiques and wildlife art reflects its 1930s heritage — each room tells a story of Russian River history.

The Hideaway: 4 Bedroom Russian River FRONT Cabin in Guerneville w/ PRIVATE DOCK

Guerneville, California, United States

Year Round Fun! This is an amazing family cabin tucked in among the redwoods. The location is ideal. Literally just steps away from the Russian River with a private dock, you can't get much closer to the river without falling in.brbrThe house itself is a gem. Having been redone multiple times, it is a beautiful blend of classic traditional with the right amount of new touches. Stunning redwood batten board throughout the house sets the perfect backdrop for the house. brbrThe house has been raised off the street and has a great deck off the front which is perfect for summertime barbeques and enough room to accommodate teak cocktail chairs with a modular square cocktail table, a round picnic table with chairs and piazza lights. Perfect for winding down in the evenings following a great day on the river.brbrAs you enter the house, there is a great room with a phenomenal fireplace. The nearly 20-foot ceilings scream for you to sit by the fire and enjoy a glass (bottle ) of your favorite found chardonnay or pinot. brbrAnd, the back enclosed porch is a wonderful gathering place for dining and lounging with views of the surrounding vistas.brbrThe house really is a great place to getaway to. The access to the river is amazing. The dock is a great way to enjoy the water. Whether you want to rent paddle boats or canoes from Johnson's Beach or just lounge on an inner-tube or raft, there is something special about just going for a swim in the river. brbrFor the beach-goers, Johnson's beach is less than a mile and is a great walk. brbrFor the SPORTSMAN, the fishing is great. Do that from the dock, wade upstream and use the adjacent beach, or take a short drive out to Jenner or Bodega to charter a trip. Some friends of ours often plan abalone dives and use the river as a homebase. brbrIf you are into GOLF, the Northwoods golf course is only 3.8 miles from the house. Designed by Dr. Alister MacKenzie in 1928, the course is a classic MacKenzie design with 9 holes winding through giant redwood trees. (This is the same architect who designed Cypress Point, Augusta National, Meadow Club, Pasatiempo and many other great courses). brbrFor the WINE lover, the list of amazing Russian River wineries is tremendous. Korbel does a terriffic tour and has a really great deli and picnic area. Gary Farrell is one of the most well respected wine makers around, producing some super premium wines. Porter Creek is a little more laid back ... and a lot of fun. brbrFor the FOODIES, there is a wide variety. Everything from tasty comfort food and special breakfast places (See: The River Inn, Piknik Town Market) to pizza to brewery / pub food (Stumptown Brewery) to high end / romantic / special dinners at Applewoods and Boon. And, delicious eats and mezcal at El Barrio. brbrFor the KIDS, there are a ton of possible adventures. One of our favorites continues to be Pee Wee Golf & Arcade which is just across the river from town (about a mile from the house) and Rio Nido Pee Wee Golf. Armstrong Woods is very nearby and a great spot to stand among giant redwood trees. There are hiking trails here but also a flat walkable area.brbrGuerneville Farmers Market is active Thursday evenings June through August.brbrJanuary:brWinter Wineland (1/13/2024 - 1/14/2024)brbrMarch:brWine Road Barrel Tasting (3/2/2024 - 3/3/2024)brbrApril: brBattle of the Brews (4/1/2023)brIPA10K + Beerfest + Beer Mile (4/20/2024)brBodega Bay Fisherman's Festival (4/22/2023 - 4/23/2023) brApple Blossom Festival & Parade - Sebastopol (4/29/2023 - 4/30/2023)brPassport to Dry Creek Valley (4/29/2023 - 4/30/2023)brbrMay:brWomen's Weekend Guerneville (5/17/2024 - 5/19/2024)brbrJune:brSonoma County Beerfest - The Good One (6/10/2023)brNorth Coast Wine and Food Festival (6/17/2023)brTaste of Sonoma (6/22/2024)brRussian River Rodeo (6/22/2023 - 6/23/2023)brbrJuly:brSonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic (7/15/2023)brLazy Bear Weekend (7/29/2024 - 8/5/2024)brbrAugust:brGravenstein Apple Fair (8/12/2023 - 8/13/2023)brBeer Revival and BBQ Cookoff (8/19/2023)brBodega Seafood Art and Wine Festival (8/26/2023 - 8/27/2023)brbrSeptember:brBest Buck in the Bay Duncan's Mills Rodeo (9/9/2023 - 9/10/2023)brTumble on the River Music Festival - Rio Nido (9/16/2023)brReal Neato Music Festival - Rio Nido (9/23/2023)brbrOctober:brRussian River Pride (10/13/2023 - 10/15/2023)brHitchcock Film Fest - Bodega Bay (10/20/2023 - 10/21/2023)brbrNovember:brWine and Food Affair (11/4/2023 - 11/5/2023)brbrDecember:brGuerneville Holiday Parade of LightsbrbrAll in all, there is something for everyone here.
