Over the river and through the woods, to Irish Mist we go! Feeling nostalgic Irish Mist is a classic riverfront Russian River vacation rental with original knotty pine interior, antique furnishings, a large sunny deck overlooking the river, and a private year-round river dock. This multi-level home features a downstairs living room with wood floors, high, open beam ceiling, and gas fireplace. A separate dining area offers river views and French doors leading to a homey kitchen. Sliding glassdoors lead to a large river-facing deck.

Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom (bathtub/shower combination). Plus, a family room with large windows and a sofa bed for additional sleeping space faces the river. The downstairs living area includes a bedroom, full bath, kitchen, a separate dining room and a sunny deck. From the back deck, stairs lead to a private river dock - a great spot for sunbathing or swimming during summer months. Irish Mist is located one mile west of downtown Guerneville and is walking distance to two restaurants and a dog friendly public beach. Russian River Valley wineries and the Sonoma Coast (Bodega Bay and Jenner) are a short drive away!

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Irish Mist is 8. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

Parking: There is space in the driveway for 3 vehicles (the garage is used for storage and is not available for guest use). RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: Queen bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: 2 Twin beds; Living room: Queen sofa bed.

A/C: The house does not have air conditioning. Being near the coast, the nighttime temps drop and just opening some windows is usually enough to cool the house.

Docks and Boats: Docks and beaches are seasonal only and available from mid-June to mid-September providing the summer dams are in. Irish Mist does not provide canoes or kayaks. The river is usually too swift for boating in the winter and many docks and beaches are under water until late spring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is stocked with everything you may need and the access to the river from the dock is wonderful. Great place to stay with family and pets.

This cozy spot was lovely and had ample natural light and easy access to the river. Getting to the beach was just a short ten minute walk away, and we spemt the afternoon laid out next to the water.

Beautiful view of the river, great for barbeques. Not the greatest weather when we were there, but we just enjoyed hanging out there -- very comfortable

Loved the setting, it was gorgeous. The dogs loved the deck and the dock and the proximity to town was just right. Sort of like visiting an old friend in their very clean lived-in house. Hope to stay again in the future.

This house was a great place for a large group of friends. Lots of sleeping options for doubles, singles, and couches. Plenty of different places to hang out, indoors and out. Everything was in working order with a decent sized kitchen and good washer/dryer. It wasn't fancy, which we liked (we don't need high end furnishings, fast wifi throughout, or trendy decor). We particularly liked that the rear deck is a mix of sun and shade, with several tables, lounge chairs, and a good gas BBQ. We received excellent communication from the host. Because the water level was at its lowest in late September, it was a bit of a workout to get in & out of the water because the ladder up to the very nice, very high, dock was a foot above the water level. A few guests decided not to swim, because they were concerned they wouldn't be able to get out. Not a big issue for us, but something to think about if swimming or kayaking easily off the dock is a priority for you. There are plenty of other public beach put-ins nearby! This is a very relaxed, flexible, comfortable accommodation and we will definitely be back.

We loved the closeness to the river and the quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our 20 minute drive to the beach and walk to the river access for some swim. The town was not too slow and not too busy. We enjoyed our stay.

Only had 7 (including my wife and I) people for 4 days. 4 people for 4 days, and 3 people for 4 days. First time renting a house without any boats. Kids and guests missed boating. Winds cooled the house every afternoon, even when temps were in the 90's. Great neighbors next door. Papers say I have a lab. Yet 3 years old and still not going in the water, Hmmmm. Saw no blue algae this year. Saw an egret and a couple of blue heron. Great time to swim 6:30 - 7:30am. Peaceful and no sun for us skin cancer people.

Grandmas furniture is not quaint, it is tired and worn out. The dishwasher barely worked, many important light bulbs were burned out and no replacements. Don’t get me started on the terrible shower downstairs, the dock is to high from the water to put our kayaks in from, the outlets are so old when you plug something in it just falls out-fire danger, it was just a huge expensive disappointment. Couldn’t wait to leave.

This was such a quaint property. Access to the dock via stairs and blow up toys were a plus we weren’t expecting! There was a slight maintenance issue, but after a quick call Brian showed up and fixed everything up so fast. He was so nice! Very personable and was so great ti chat with while he worked. I spoke with several ladies at the office (forgive me I can’t remember their names) but they were so great and I loved being here. Everything was clean and as described in the website. I did NOT bring my fur babies with me, but you’d never know pets were allowed(no smell or hair). The neighborhood was really nice. And quiet hours were honored by the whole street which was so nice. Would definitely reccomend if you’re bringing The whole family!!!!
