The house has three bedrooms, one on the main floor, and two upstairs. The living room and back porch are great for hosting and enjoying quality time. Local and out-of-town musicians can be heard almost any night of the week at several of the theater venues and restaurants. ( Our guests have no access.) Our 3 cabins are located on 5 acres next to Camp Augusta. In the summer months (late May to mid August) you can hear 'happy camp sounds' as children enjoy swimming, zip lining and singing around the camp fire, then off to bed by 9:30, quiet hour. This is the perfect spot to unwind, and although Papa Bear's Lodge is next door, their activities and outdoor area and porch are away from Baby Bear's Cottage. Some of the dishes are hand made pottery. Not everything matches. There is no dishwasher. Garbage needs to be disposed of carefully to avoid attracting those wild critters. Collecting compost scraps and recycling is required, and a conservative energy usage strongly encouraged. There is no central heat. We may allow parties of 20 or so guests for Wedding Rehearsals and similar events with an addition fee. We ask that the outdoor noise be attenuated after 10 pm to respect our neighbors. Please let us know in advance if you would like to have more people than your nightly guests. The standard nightly fee is for 6 guests. Additional guests will be charged $25 per guest for the number of nights of your reservation.
