Step inside to a light and bright well decorated house offering you all the good feels a vacation should! To your left you have an open dining area with dining table and chairs, a then a full bathroom, straight ahead is the fully stocked kitchen which includes a butcher block island with breakfast seating for two. To the right around the staircase is the family room where you can sit comfortably and enjoy some game play, movies or quiet reading. Two bedrooms occupy the main floor. Upstairs you will find the large primary bedroom with a large bed, private bathroom, laundry room and a separate work area with a desk and access to the large balcony.brbrbrbrGuest Access:brbrPROPERTY ACCESS: The front door has an electronic lock and is accessible anytime. We will send out the check in instructions 48 hours before you arrive. Please be conscientious of the neighboring driveways and spots. The property is professionally cleaned after each departure and inspected before arrival. We provide bathroom hand soap, 3-in-1 body/hair wash, hand towels, bath towels, wash cloths, paper and toilet paper. The kitchen is stocked with basic needs such as salt & pepper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, kitchen towels & complimentary drip coffee bar to get you started off right. The house is a 1.5 minute walk to Seabright Beach for body surfing, boogie boarding, relaxing, etc. Walk to La Posta restaurant or several others on Seabright Avenue, or walk or drive to Johnny's Harborside or Crow's Nest Restaurant on the harbor. It is a 10 minute drive to world class surf at Pleasure Point beaches or Steamer's Lane. It is a 10 minute walk to the Boardwalk and 15 minutes to the Santa Cruz wharf, or you can drive if you like. Shoppers' Corner, Whole Foods and Safeway are a 5-7 minute drive away. Go for a swim or lounge at the beach and come back and relax or cook up a fantastic meal in the large and functional kitchen. There is a Weber Genesis natural gas BBQ on the slate deck outside the living room for those of you who love to cook on the grill. The house is also a short walk to Swift Street Courtyard, home to Kelly’s French Bakery, the Cellar Door Café, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, and multiple wine tasting rooms, including Bonny Doone, Copious Winery, and Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard. This newly remodeled beach house comes complete with flat panel TV's in the living room and separate kids' zone, Cable, DVD, and wireless Internet.brbrThe house has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a sleeping loft. It’s a perfect spot for a kids’ hang-out. brbrThe house was completely renovated during the spring of 2011. The kitchen and both baths were stripped to the studs and remodeled, with all new appliances. All doors, carpets, and floors were replaced. Everything has been newly painted in 2020. The furnishings are also new, and the kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pans, utensils and serving pieces. We have a gas grill on the deck, and seating for 8. We added a patio in the back yard in 2012 with a fire pit that's perfect for roasting marsh mellows. The house is also equipped with wireless.brbrWe have lots of toys as well: several adult size cruiser bikes in the garage, 4+ boogie boards, and 6 beach chairs, all for your use. Rental also includes bath towels, sheets, and beach towels (8). The kids will love making s’mores in the fire pit in the back yard. The boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz are three miles away, an easy bike ride along West Cliff. The house is a perfect location for exploring Santa Cruz, Capitola and Aptos. If a permit is lost or taken out of town, there will be a $100 replacement fee.brbrA portable crib is available upon request.brbrImportant Access Information – Please Read Carefully!brThe downstairs front room leads to the foyer and provides access to the upstairs. During the day, the door can remain open for easy movement between floors.brAt night, if a guest is sleeping in the front room, the door can be locked for privacy. Guests staying upstairs can use the side door to access the downstairs living room and kitchen when the front room is closed off.brbrLet us know if you have any questions—we’re happy to help! brbrThe Neighborhood:brMy spacious downtown art filled vacation house is great for any occasion! Spend a few days at the beach with your family, go hiking in the beautiful local redwood forests, or ride the Giant Dipper and enjoy a funnel cake at the Boardwalk. If the season is right, you can see the Monarch butterflies nest at Natural Bridges State Park. You can get a seafood dinner with an ocean view on the wharf, take a stroll down the beautiful backdrop of West Cliff Drive, or if you would just like to enjoy some peace and quiet in a serene environment-- you've come to the right place! Walk to the farmers market on Wednesdays and make yourself a gourmet meal in the large fully equipped kitchen. Everything we mentioned is in walking distance, you won't even need to rent a car! The home is located in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, but you wouldn't even know it! So peaceful and serene, it is extremely quiet, so much so, that if you listen hard enough you can sometimes hear the elephant seals far off in the distance, or the rustling of leaves from the cool ocean breeze.brbrGetting Around:brWalking and biking are the best ways to appreciate the Santa Cruz scenery. However, car rental services are available. There is a bus station on nearby Pacific Ave. but there are many bus stops closer to your home away from home. The Metro Bus Station is where both local buses and Greyhound buses depart from, both in short walking distance. The Santa Cruz Trolley loops around Pacific Ave. and goes to the wharf and Boardwalk for only 25 cents! You can rent Segway scooters down the street from the Boardwalk to use in that area. Information regarding rental services will be included in our information pamphlet, or emailed upon request. brbrWe have a driveway which can fit two cars. We also provide two parking permits which you may borrow during your stay, for parking on our street only. These must be returned upon check out as we rely on them for our guests and cannot be replaced. brbrWe are always available to answer any of your getting-around questions or to give directions. The Santa Cruz Information booth on Pacific Ave. is very informative and helpful as well.brbrOther Things to Note:brThe kitchen is stocked with basic spices, oils, salt, pepper, etc.brPlenty of extra towels, blankets, and pillows are provided for your comfort.brCuisinart coffee maker with Peet’s coffee or other premium coffee options.brAssortment of black and herbal teas available.brA propane BBQ is available for use.
