Kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked most of our meals on our 5-day trip. The kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs to play on the PS, playing board games / lounging in the living room, or soaking in the hot tub. We were alpine skiing, XC skiing, and tubing and it was super-straightforward to access all of that on foot / skis. And (as always!) Drive up to the beautiful house built in 1905! Go through the green garden gate where you will find a path lined with grape vines to a staircase which will take you to the entrance and a private deck that looks over the neighborhood. Suite updated in 2024, with some old house character remaining. Inside you will find a open concept kitchen and living room, with a table beside the window to enjoy the view. There is an induction cooktop, toaster oven and microwave as well as, plates, glasses and utensils. There is a 2 in 1 laundry/dryer open for use. One bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom across from the bedroom with a shower. A 10-15 min walk to main street downtown and a 5 min drive to almost anywhere in town, 25 min drive to silverstar ski resort. Quiet street, with many squirrels and birds, making it feel further from the city life. The suite is completely private but don't hesitate to ask for anything you may need, we are just downstairs- it is fairly soundproof. The suite is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, there are 18 stairs leading up the the entrance and a 28 inch wide door frame, this house was built so long ago it would be very difficult to change the doorframe.

Gala House was the original house on the orchard and was completely renovated. The interior is fully modernized, open and spacious with gas fireplace and all the amenities. There is a large picture window off living room and french doors from the main floor master bedroom to a large deck with views of the valley & lakes. brFrom the back door there is a nice sized mud room with a washer/dryer set, lots of storage for summer fun items or ski's and snowboards in the winter. We are close to downtown Vernon and 20 mins to Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre with Silver Star Resort just beyond.
