We are just a few minutes from Old Barn Winery and Frosty's Choose & Cut Christmas Tree Farm and also just a 7 minute drive to downtown for amazing food, shopping, and breweries - come have the ultimate mountain getaway! The traditional A-Frame style cabin invites you into the main floor where you enter into the cozy living room with plenty of seating, an electric no flame fireplace, and SmartTV above the mantle. This main floor also includes a dining area, a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, and one full bathroom. There are plenty of games and puzzles provided but feel free to bring your favorites as well! An exit to the main deck with an additional outdoor dining table and seating along with a propane grill. Wake up and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck or relax throughout the day enjoying the cool mountain air. The upstairs provides a Queen bedroom that is partially open to the living room below but still very private and secluded. The view that awaits you in the morning looking out the A-frame windows are a perfect way to start the day. The downstairs of the cabin, you'll find two more bedrooms. A large King Size Master bedroom along with a SmartTV and plenty of space. The other bedroom is perfect for those traveling with kids as it has a bunk bed with a Twin Bed over a Full Bed as well as an additional Full Bed. The basement has its own full bathroom with stand-up shower as well as its own exit/access to outside. On this level is a laundry area with full size washer and dryer. *Please note there is no central A/C at the cabin, however there is a minisplit unity on the main floor which provides A/C and Heat in the winter months. Most find the mountain temperatures comfortable throughout the year without A/C, all rooms have baseboard heating or additional heaters. There are screen doors and screens on the windows to allow the mountain breeze in throughout the day while keeping any bugs out **We host many trips for guests attending weddings in the area and for larger groups, we have two other cabins in the area. Hike less than 100 yards up to the top of the mountain and enjoy a picnic overlooking the town of West Jefferson and a beautiful view of Mount Jefferson. Relax on the expansive deck and enjoy the hot tub and gas fire pit table in the evening, or enjoy the view inside. The living room features a two story prow of windows, so you can snuggle up in front of the stone fireplace and still enjoy the stunning 180 degree views unhindered. In fact the front of the home is full of windows on all levels, so you can enjoy the beautiful views while eating dinner, relaxing in bed, playing pool, or even doing dishes in the kitchen. brbrOn the lower level, you will find a bedroom with a queen bed and bunk bed for the kids to enjoy. Chill out while enjoying the view from the lower level game room which features a ball return pool table, an electronic double basketball game, a multicade arcade machine, and a skee ball machine. The game room opens up to a den with a 65 inch TV with surround sound. The lower level also has a full bath and lots of games. You can get a great cardio workout on the elliptical machine before you start your day. If you must work, there is a dedicated work station with an adjustable height desk, keyboard, monitor, and mouse.brbrOn the first floor/main level, you will find a spacious living room with breathtaking views and a beautiful stone fireplace. The high end custom kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a double oven, microwave, gas range, air fryer, crock pot, electric can opener, blender, rice cooker, roaster, spice rack, VERY sharp knives and all the baking/cooking/serving dishes, utensils, kitchen gadgets and tools you need to cook a meal for a dozen people. In addition, there is a walk in pantry to store at least a week of food for a dozen people. The main level also features a master bedroom with a log king bed and private bath. brbrUpstairs on the second floor you will find a second master bedroom with a log California king bed and direct access to the bathroom. The spacious bathroom includes a jacuzzi tub and large shower stall. The upstairs also has a second bedroom with a queen bed.brbrThere is plenty to do in the surrounding area with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, lots of great hikes, horseback riding, zip lining, fishing, kayaking, and tubing all within a short drive. Downtown West Jefferson is also just an 8 minute drive, where you will find shopping, restaurants, groceries, an ABC store, and more. This helps us know if the road needs to be plowed in winter, monitor bear activity, and if unauthorized vehicles are at the house when it is not rented.
