Our cabin is very easily accessible during most of the year, but we always recommend 4WD/AWD vehicles during the winter months. We are located just minutes from downtown West Jefferson and approximately 40-45 minutes from Boone! brbrOur home is pet friendly for your 4 legged family member (dogs only weighing less than 50 pounds). There is a one time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet (maximum of 2 dogs) plus tax and your pet will have to be approved by management.brbrOur cabin offers 4 bedrooms (maximum of 10 guests), 3.5 bathrooms, lower level game room with pool table, gas fireplace, card table, dining table, foosball table. New River Ridge is located on the New River near West Jefferson, North Carolina.brbrThis new mountain retreat features cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, is well appointed with all the comforts of home. The linens and towels are supplied. If you want towels for swimming you may want to bring them. The kitchen is completely set up with ice maker, coffee maker toaster and all pots/pans. We also have a washer and dryer. There is a gas grill on the back porch. You will need to bring all food and drink. One roll of paper towels and toilet paper is supplied at all locations. The cabin sleeps 6 people. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed and an upstairs bedroom with two singles. brbrThe cabin has a phone with local service. You will have to bring a calling card to use long distance. You can get a rechargeable long distance card about anywhere and they are cheap. The house is equipped with a WiFi system.brbrbrThere are two TV’s a flat screen with HD in the great room and a regular TV in the upstairs bedroom. Both TVs have DVD players.brbrThere is river access at many areas around the cabin. Directly below the cabin and about 300 feet down stream there is a ramp that you can take canoes and kayaks and this is a good fishing spot. The river has small mouth bass (red eyes) and trout.brbrThere are art galleries, golf courses, restaurants, farmers market, and many more things to do in West Jefferson. In the Boone and Blowing Rock Area which is 30 min. away there are all types of things to do. There are state parks and there are scenic drives.brbrThere is a convenience store about three miles away. Come and enjoy an opportunity to get away from he hustle and bustle and relax while enjoying the breathtaking year round, long range 100 mile views of the North Carolina Mountains. brbrBear Feet Retreat is a 4100 square feet cabin that is almost lodge like with 4 bedrooms, a sleeping loft and several sofa beds. There is plenty of sleeping room for your large family gatherings but cozy enough for just two people.brbrThe inviting main level has two floor to ceiling rock fireplaces. The cozy comfortable living room has novelty bear sofas, a flat screen television and French doors leading out to the oversized deck. The dining area sits 12 people around a beautiful table. If that's not enough seating to accommodate, you can sit 5 additional people at the granite bar and 4 at the breakfast nook area. At Bear Feet Retreat we are used to feeding large groups and we want you to be able to do the same. You will find our kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. While cooking enjoy the granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and if you need a break exit out a set of French doors and take in those beautiful breathtaking long range views. There is a large pantry, a breakfast nook and a main level full bathroom. Also on the main level is a king master suite with French doors out to the deck. You will have your own en-suite bathroom and plenty of closet area for your belongings. brbrBear Feet Retreat has two upstairs. one with a king master bedroom, the cabin room with an en-suite bathroom and additional twin bed. Off from the king bedroom is a loft area with a desk, game table, and futon. This loft area is stocked with classic books, puzzles and games. On the opposite end of the cabin is another loft area that offers privacy like a bedroom with a queen, twin and twin trundle beds. you can also enjoy a sitting area for two. brbrThe downstairs area at Bear Feet Retreat offers yet another living area with a sectional and two reclining chairs. You will be surprised to find two more bedrooms. A queen bedroom and a bunk room, the fox's burrow, with 3 sets of bunk beds. A downstairs mountain cabin would not be complete without a foosball table and arcade games. The basement area has its own full bathroom and an exit door to the absolutely stunning 6 person hot tub. The Views are unbelievablebrThe spacebrThe Flight Deck is a cabin in the woods with unbelievable views.brThe Flight Deck has three levels of cozy beauty. The main floor offers two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. One room has a king bed and the other a queen. The main floor is also where you will find the fully stocked kitchen and living area with a queen pullout sofa. You will find yourself gazing at the view while sitting next to the gas logs or take a walk out on to the wrap around deck and enjoy the polywood chairs, lounger or swing. Over looking the main floor is a loft. The loft is a perfect place to play a game of chess or just relax with a cup of coffee. On the loft level you will also find a private main suite with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. The basement floor is where all the action happens! It has another living area, a game room with a pool table and a game table, arcade game and two sets of bunks. One bunk bed is queen over queen and the other is twin over twin making it versatile for any group. The basement floor also has a beautiful bathroom with double sinks and a tile shower. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer if you choose to. The basement floor also has direct access to another deck with a bar, access to the firepit and cornhole area. The Flight Deck will offer a beautiful sunrise from the deck and you will not want to leave.brThe Big Tree Community is an established subdivision with mostly paved roads that provide easy access to The Flight Deck. You feel above it all at 4,500 feet. As you relax on the covered deck, you can enjoy dinner outside on our outdoor dining table, you can watch the cars travel through the hills below while sitting on our nice Polywood chairs, or see the lights flicker on as the day ends.brWe are a family that loves dogs and we welcome well behaved dogs weighing less than 40 pounds (Maximum of 2 dogs) are welcome for a 1 time nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per dog plus tax.
