Hello. This is a fantastic mountain cabin. The views are absolutely stunning and the back porch is perfect. The cabin was exceptionally clean, well stocked with all pots, pans, spices, towels, sheets, etc. We really appreciated the opportunity to stay and we will be back in the future. Thank you! We had a fantastic time! The cabin is wonderful! Super clean, spot less! We had plenty of room and the kitchen has absolutely everything we needed as we cooked our meals. Even baked some banana bread. The cabin is very private. We enjoyed hiking around the cabin and our boys fished in the New river below the cabin every day. The fireplace in the living room was a wonderful to have on the chilly evening. We hope to return in a near future. Would def recommend this cabin

The location is great for a winter getaway. Very close to downtown West Jefferson. About 50 mins to Grayson Highlands and the wild horses and great hiking. We also explored Rendezvous State Park and Mount Jefferson State Park. Loved how there was a basket of blankets for our pup for the furniture. She sure did feel welcome! The cabin was very homey and welcoming. The kitchen was very well stocked. The only thing I would request is some cabinet space for groceries. Our host Jeff was very easy to work with, quick to respond to emails and questions.

Wonderful retreat. Great deck for watching the river flow by. Gas fireplace in the living room made cool mornings and evenings cozy. The home had everything we needed and more. Nearby there was a number of hiking trails and state parks to explore. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short drive away. We especially liked the nearby Old Barn Winery for the live music. And the West Jefferson farmers market.

I do not think we can write everything we would like to about this place. It was one of the best places we have stayed in up here in the high county. Has the room you need to move around, and it is easy to get to town and other places. We had nice walks with the dogs down to the water. Gaze at the deer in the yard every day, fed the hummingbirds on the back porch and just hung out. We would stay here again.

We loved being on the river and made several tubing trips from the Rt.163 boat launch down to the exit where our cabin was. Also, the quaint little town of West Jefferson is always a fun experience.

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Close enough to West Jefferson for short grocery and dinner/shopping trips, but felt secluded enough with a nice view of the river. Jeff was very accommodating and quick to answer. We'd definitely stay again.

By far the best place we have ever vacationed to. The cabin is absolutely beautiful, spacious, well stocked, and was a home away from home. It's a bit of a walk down to the river but we drove down a few times and that was much easier. Tried fishing but weren't successful. Probably too cold. Just a 15 min drive to groceries, gas and restaurants. We saw deer but brought our husky so we didn't leave out corn. Played some fun board games and took walks in the snow flurries we got on new years day. Downtown West Jefferson is about 20 minutes away and has many cute shops. EB Jeffress Park Cascades trail is only 20 minutes away with a nice hike and waterfall.Highly recommend this cabin! Beds were very comfy, bathrooms so clean, and the entire inside is just beautiful.

I just can't say enough about this wonderful property. The cabin is perfect...well stocked, super clean, private, comfortable, relaxing, feels remote but it's only 10-15 minutes to 'town,' view of the New River from the back, private deck.

After a brief glitch at check-in (my fault) that was easily resolved, the fun began and didn't end til check-out four days later. My partner and I plus my cousin and her partner did not have a dull moment. The house was spotless with comfortable furnishings, well-supplied kitchen and nice decor. There were games, dvd's and books to amuse us, but all we needed was the river, the calm, clear South Fork of the New River. We splashed around in it and just watched it flow. Also had a couple fires in the evening at the riverside fire pit. The setting was so peaceful with no other houses nearby and absolutely nothing on the other side of the river. Our pooches EmmyLou and Harry loved it, too. Oh yeah, West Jefferson is a cute little town with a great farmers' market on Saturdays. Without a doubt, we'll be back.

Our family loved spending a week at this wonderful cabin with access to the New River. The cabin was clean and filled with so many convenient and thoughtful extras. The only thing that would have been better would be having more time to spend in this gorgeous and relaxing property..The owners were super responsive and very pleasant.
