This was my architectural design studio while I lived in the cottage next door, during the construction of my new home on the front part of the property about 8 years ago (featured in Fall 2010 Fine Homebuilding magazine).brAccessed by a quiet old narrow carriage alley, a short scenic walk to our vibrant downtown, UNCA, and convenient to I-240, yet in the middle of a registered historic neighborhood of lovingly restored homes and B&B's, huge hardwood trees, brick sidewalks and a greenway along a creek.brWood floors and windows throughout, tastefully furnished with leather couch, table for 6, W/D, fully equipped kitchen (incl utensils, pots/pans, cooktop, microwave, etc), (no DW), two sets of linens, comforters, etc., CATV, wireless internet, and all utilities included. 12mb wireless network is private, but shared with the cottage next door.brThe House is on two levels, with the larger bedroom and bath (with shower) on the lower level (unfinished storage bay makes up the remainder of the ground level), with a door spilling out to the covered stone patio. This two-bedroom and one-bath home has just been updated with a new bathroom that features a large clawfoot bathtub with shower, large vanity with plenty of storage, ample lighting, and plush bath linens. The kitchen has been updated with all stainless steel appliances that include a gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator with built-in ice maker, and an over-the-range microwave with vent. With butcher block counter tops, this well equipped kitchen has everything you need for even the most discriminating chef. If you enjoy grilling, there is a full-size gas grill located just outside the kitchen door. Bedroom number one features a queen-size bed with memory foam mattress and a full size armoir with storage for hanging and folded clothes. Bedroom number two, which is separated by the bathroom, features a king-size bed, closet, and dresser for clothes. It also has premium cable Smart HDTV. The dining room is situated between the kitchen and the living room with accommodations for up to six people. The living room is equipped with a full-size leather sofa and 2 club chairs, large screen Smart HDTV with premium cable, which includes HBO, SHO, and Cinemax as well as a internet streaming capability.
