The Grizzly Cabin at Glacier Park is in the remote North Fork, Flathead River.

Columbia Falls, Montana, United States

When we built the cabin, we wanted it to be the type of cabin we would like to vacation in. It would need to be remote and quiet, yet comfortable. Naturally this meant plumbing and electricity were a must, not to mention cooking amenities. But most importantly, they would need to be private, we wanted our cabins to be spread apart to ensure privacy for our guests.brThe Grizzly Cabin is an excellent choice for large family get-togethers , reunions, or two families traveling in unison (kids included). The Grizzly Cabin can accommodate up to 14 guests. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, over 500 sq. ft. of porches and plenty of room to roam. The Great Room boasts a fully equipped kitchen and living area, plus full-size laundry. brThe Grizzly Cabin features a full kitchen complete with large capacity dishwasher, 18 cu ft. refrigerator, full size stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, stand mixer, plus all the pots and pans, plates, bowls, glasses, and cutlery to service up to 14 people. The solid pine dining area table seats 10, plus an extra fold away table and chairs for more seating. The living area is equipped with a full size futon sleeper sofa, 2 comfy rocking chairs, and stereo system. Finishing the Great Room off is a fully functional wood stove to keep you toasty warm on Montana’s cool evenings.brbrSleeping includes 1 queen sized bedroom, a bunk room, and full bathroom on the main level, plus 2 queen bedrooms (queen + twin) and full bathroom on the upper half loft. Combined, very comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to 14 people. For travelers with small children, a playpen/crib and high chair are included. To complete this cabin, it has a full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Plus, we provide all bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher detergent, and dish soap. And for your entertainment, you’ll find games for all ages. Convenient location, beautiful view, stocked with so many kitchen essentials. We caught tons of fish and it was warm enough to swim in the afternoons.brbrAug 5 2024brEverything about this stay was great; the location, the cabin, the lake, and the owners. Such a neat experience, we didn't want to leave!brbrbrSep 18 2024brThis little cabin had all the touches to feel like home - from a well stocked kitchen, to beach towels, to chairs in many places outdoors, it felt well thought out and very easy to enjoy. The location is ideal for exploring West Glacier but also is very close to Columbia Falls for services and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to start and end the day! Thanks for sharing your space…. Definitely recommend!brbr''The wildlife has been something to behold! Seven Black Bears, two Mountain Goats, Deer and the majestic beauty of the Loons! We will never forget.'' Carl & LolabrbrGet away from it all and relax! We couldn’t believe how much stuff there was here for us in the cabin. Would love to come back here for sure!! The loons were so pretty to listen to in the morning. Thank you for everything! Very Beautiful!brMallory, Charlene, Gregory – Williston, NDbrbrJuly 8, 2014brThank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We are a family of 5 (2 teens and a 12 year old). The cabin was perfect. We spent time both in the park (mostly West side) and here on the lake. The kids loved to swim and paddle around the lake! We saw one of the loons floating along from the porch one day! Going to the sun Road was open, and we loved it! We were above to hike Avalanche Lake, visit Lake McDonald and stop at many of the spectacular falls and vistas along the way. We hiked on snow packed ground in our shorts and T shirts at Logan’s Pass. There were people sledding, skiing and building snowmen. Some who were in flip flops or sandals were regretting it, though. The weather has been beautiful (75-85 degrees) and no rain. We are headed to the East side today to stay at a cabin. We hope to visit Two Medicine, Many Glacier, and St. Mary’s. Thank you again!brAmy and Brett – “Chicagoland,” ILbrbrJuly 25 2015brWe had a great time here at the cabin. We were impressed at how well stocked the cabin was. Even bear spray! Wow! The loons were great fun to watch and the kids loved the rowboat. It was wonderful to have a comfy place to come to after a rainy hike. We didn’t see much wildlife on this trip. There was a bald eagle flyover at Lake McDonald, a few other birds, but not much else. I was impressed that you had filed guides and binoculars. This was such a calm, peaceful place. We didn’t want to leave.brRich, De Ann, Cheyenne, Rob, Afton, WY,brRob - Bloomington, MNbrCarol – Salt lake City, UT brbrOther Comments From Previous Years - brbr''You have a blessed place here & it has been a main part of our real fairy tale. God bless you, Steve & Vickiebrbr''I love this place! The lake is so peaceful and good fishing too! It took a while to find the spot but we found it and caught a mess of fish (5 Trout, 1 Bass, and more Perch and Sunfish than I can count). It's beautiful on the lake and I hope I can visit again someday when I have kids.'' Alan G.brbr''We experienced abundant wildlife at the lake: Loons, Mallards, Hares, Osprey, and Hummingbirds. The family of Loons greeted us every morning. We can only hope that your stay in Montana is as memorable and spiritual as ours has been. We are saddened as we pack our belongings because this is truly God's country.'' Sincerely Travis & Katiebrbr''We had such a great time here-you made us feel right at home. The cabin is so clean & comfy. This little corner of the world is truly paradise. The lake, the cabin, the whole setting is just so peaceful & relaxing. We can't wait to come back.'' Wendy & Eddybrbr''Spoon Lake is a dream. Beautiful views, enchanting Loons, heavenly scents in the air and the sky seems so big! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely cabin & for sharing your piece of heaven. We had a new adventure everyday but particularly enjoyed returning here.'' Mary, Greg, Alexis & Conner
