This was our second visit to this cabin, and we cannot recommend it enough! Convenient location, beautiful view, stocked with so many kitchen essentials. We caught tons of fish and it was warm enough to swim in the afternoons.

Everything about this stay was great; the location, the cabin, the lake, and the owners. Such a neat experience, we didn't want to leave!

This little cabin had all the touches to feel like home - from a well stocked kitchen, to beach towels, to chairs in many places outdoors, it felt well thought out and very easy to enjoy. The location is ideal for exploring West Glacier but also is very close to Columbia Falls for services and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to start and end the day! Cabin itself is small but has everything you need. Bed is comfy, water is hot, and everything is clean. We took the boat out but mostly enjoyed watching the loon from the dock. Neighbors are quiet. Thanks for sharing your space…. Definitely recommend!

''The wildlife has been something to behold! Seven Black Bears, two Mountain Goats, Deer and the majestic beauty of the Loons! We will never forget.'' Carl & Lola

Get away from it all and relax! Aspen Shores Cabin is only 20 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National park, Twenty minutes to Glacier International Airport, thirty minutes to Flathead Lake...the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi and just minutes away from the small towns of Columbia Falls and Whitefish.

Our non-smoking property is ideal for groups of 2 to 4 people and can accommodate up to 5 people. We have WiFi and a streaming TV monitor on a stand with CD/blue-ray player for your use. We pride ourselves on providing all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay, including cookware, dishes, fishing gear, private dock, row boat and much more.

Experience Montana in this cozy cabin on the lake. Spoon Lake is a beautiful and quite lake with abundant wildlife. Relax under the cedars on the hammock and listen to the loons call. Fish from the private dock and catch perch, bass, sunfish. Swim on a warm afternoon, pick huckleberries or take a hike on forest service land. Relax as you watch the sunset across the lake.

The cabin is located on Spoon Lake, right off the North Fork Road and only a few minutes from the western park boundary. Our location offers convenient access to all the hiking, fishing, rafting and recreational spots along the North Fork of the Flathead River. From your base at Aspen Shores Cabin you can set out and explore. Hike the national park trails and take in the stunning beauty of Kintla and Bowman Lakes in the less traveled portion of the park. From highway 2, you can reach Apgar Village at the main west entrance to Glacier National Park. From there, drive the spectacular Going to the Sun road to Logan Pass where mountain goats roam free.

Aspen Shores Cabin is conveniently located 15 minutes from the town of Columbia Falls. Explore, shop or dine in the quintessential western town of Kalispell, just 25 miles away, and enjoy the charm and culture of Whitefish only 18 miles away. Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi, is just 35 miles to the south.

Back at Aspen Shores Cabin the pace can slow, allowing all your cares to melt away. The peaceful waters of Spoon Lake are a perfect setting with no motorboats or jet skis to disturb the wildlife. We focus on the outdoor experience and our cozy cabin provides the opportunity to come close together as family and friends. You can cook in the easy access kitchen while you watch the activities on the lake. Barbecue on the gas grill or warm yourself and play games in front of the elegant Waterford gas stove after a fine day of hiking, shopping or exploring. Climb the stairs/ladder to the cozy bedroom complete with king bed and two twin beds, or open the queen sleeper sofa in the living room and sleep right in front of the glowing fire. On warm days let the breeze blow through and smell the mountain air, or use the upstairs air conditioner for sleeping comfort.

Enjoy lower rates by booking stay dates in May or early June as well as September and October. These times offer a quieter and slower paced experience by avoiding the crowds of the peak season. In the spring you can catch hungry fish and watch as the wildlife emerges from the long winter. In the fall enjoy the colors of the turning tamarack trees while watching the wildlife prepare for the coming winter.

There is a security camera that covers the shared driveway and front of the newer garage on the adjacent property near the driveway. There is another camera that covers the back of the garage on the adjacent property. There are no cameras on the property that can see anywhere near the cabin, lake or parking area.

The cabin was amazing!!! We couldn’t believe how much stuff there was here for us in the cabin. Would love to come back here for sure!! The loons were so pretty to listen to in the morning. Thank you for everything! Very Beautiful!

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We are a family of 5 (2 teens and a 12 year old). The cabin was perfect. We spent time both in the park (mostly West side) and here on the lake. The kids loved to swim and paddle around the lake! We saw one of the loons floating along from the porch one day! Going to the sun Road was open, and we loved it! We were above to hike Avalanche Lake, visit Lake McDonald and stop at many of the spectacular falls and vistas along the way. We hiked on snow packed ground in our shorts and T shirts at Logan’s Pass. There were people sledding, skiing and building snowmen. Some who were in flip flops or sandals were regretting it, though. The weather has been beautiful (75-85 degrees) and no rain. We are headed to the East side today to stay at a cabin. We hope to visit Two Medicine, Many Glacier, and St. Mary’s. Thank you again!

We had a great time here at the cabin. We were impressed at how well stocked the cabin was. Even bear spray! Wow! The loons were great fun to watch and the kids loved the rowboat. It was wonderful to have a comfy place to come to after a rainy hike. We didn’t see much wildlife on this trip. There was a bald eagle flyover at Lake McDonald, a few other birds, but not much else. I was impressed that you had filed guides and binoculars. This was such a calm, peaceful place. We didn’t want to leave.

''You have a blessed place here & it has been a main part of our real fairy tale. God bless you, Steve & Vickie

''I love this place! The lake is so peaceful and good fishing too! It took a while to find the spot but we found it and caught a mess of fish (5 Trout, 1 Bass, and more Perch and Sunfish than I can count). It's beautiful on the lake and I hope I can visit again someday when I have kids.'' Alan G.

''We experienced abundant wildlife at the lake: Loons, Mallards, Hares, Osprey, and Hummingbirds. The family of Loons greeted us every morning. We can only hope that your stay in Montana is as memorable and spiritual as ours has been. We are saddened as we pack our belongings because this is truly God's country.'' Sincerely Travis & Katie

''We had such a great time here-you made us feel right at home. The cabin is so clean & comfy. This little corner of the world is truly paradise. The lake, the cabin, the whole setting is just so peaceful & relaxing. We can't wait to come back.'' Wendy & Eddy

''Spoon Lake is a dream. Beautiful views, enchanting Loons, heavenly scents in the air and the sky seems so big! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely cabin & for sharing your piece of heaven. We had a new adventure everyday but particularly enjoyed returning here.'' Mary, Greg, Alexis & Conner

The cabin was cute and well stocked but was not very clean. Dishes needed washed prior to use because they were very dirty. The bathroom fan is so clogged up with grime it hardly works. Spider webs in the shower and dusty corners and edges everywhere. Front windows needed washed to better enjoy the view. The front porch light bulb was out, making for an extremely dark front porch to enter the house (could not find the right lightbulb size provided in the cabin to fit) Overall the cabin desperately needed a deep clean. The boat had about a 5 gallon bucket of water in it. Parking was good and the lake was beautiful. Could be a very nice place with some TLC.

We had a great stay at Aspen Shores Cabin! The cabin is in a great location - close to Columbia Falls and to West Glacier. The cabin itself matches the property description. It was clean and well stocked. The views on the lake from the cabin and from the dock were amazing! A great place to relax after a long day in GNP!

Misleading about the walk down to the cabin door. There were not any phots showing this trail up to where we parked. Also little bed upstairs did not appear bed changed. Fridge had many other peoples bottles in there. No proper freezer. No wall TV as advertised Was expensive to stay felt misled. Need to show trek from upper driveway for other people! Disappointed stay

We had a wonderful visit at the cabin by the lake. The cabin was a perfect fit for our family. It’s simple but with beautiful details and thoughtful amenities. We loved the lake and did lots of swimming and enjoyed the rowboat (and loons and turtle sightings). And of course, Glacier National Park is in close proximity. This is a great vacation spot!

Very clean, cozy cabin with great views and a terrific location to the park. The boat and fishing gear are an extra lovely perk that was appreciated. A/C works well upstairs, ample hot water for a couple of people to shower. The stairs are not a problem for anyone able-bodied. Heads up that there is no oven in the cabin and the refrigerator is a hotel room sized mini fridge. I would say “kitchenette” versus “kitchen” but there is a grill outside to help and it’s really quite lovely.

This was the perfect place to stay! The cabin is small (but perfect for a couple or 3 people), high quality, tranquil, but close enough to town (if need be), close to West Glacier (and all it has to offer), and near all these great small towns with lots of character. The cabin itself is so charming, and there’s a row boat on a clean, calm lake with fish that can be seen right from the dock. The owner also provided fishing poles and tackle, all clean, solid, good condition! If we had realized how perfect the cabin and location were before we came, we definitely would have booked at least a week, maybe two!You will love this! You do need to be able to climb a ladder (unless you want to sleep on the couch) to get to bed, but it’s very stable.Really a great find! Just book for a whole week. You won’t regret it!

This was our first time in Montana and it was wonderful! The cabin was perfect - we had the rowboat, hammock, and grill to make the evenings perfect. It was cool and rainy during our stay so the fireplace was amazing! The kitchen was fully furnished, so it was easy for making all our meals in. We were only 20 mins from the west Glacier entrance and were able to get in plenty of hiking. We were so sad to leave and hope that we can return again next year. We were so relaxed and truly enjoyed our stay.

A great place to get away from it all. Very peaceful location. There are cabins nearby, but there are fences and we never heard anything from either of them. The private dock is great and we caught a few perch. The views from the cabin are beautiful. My only negative would be the ladder up to the sleeping area. It did make me a little uneasy getting off the ladder onto the landing. But this was completely disclosed in the property details, so I don't fault the owner. It was just me. The cabin is not far from Glacier or a quick trip into Columbia Falls. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this remote, quaint cabin on Spoon Lake. We loved waking up to the Loons on the lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them as hard as we tried. It is perfectly located right before the glacier national park. If we had stayed longer, we would have taken vantage of the row boat and the fishing gear. Thanks for sharing your home.

This cabin was perfect for a small family getaway to Glacier NP and the surround. The lake is wonderful for swimming, using the provided rowboat or just enjoying from the dock. The cabin contains everything you will need though, while there is a stove-top, microwave and grill, note that the kitchen does not have an oven. The loft is great but would definitely describe the access as a ladder more than stairs. Overall, a fantastic place and 10/10 would stay again.
