Often referred to as the best beach on Bainbridge Island, the property boasts a sunrise to sunset western exposure for maximizing the many opportunities for outdoor activities: beachcombing and sandcastle construction, splashing in waves or swimming, picnicking on the green lawns, walking on miles of beach, and more. Wildlife viewing is a fine sport here: blue herons perch on their spindly legs early in early morning and late in the day; sea otters and bald eagles are not uncommon, either. Tall Douglas Fir border the back of the deep lot while azaleas and rhododendrons flourish throughout the property.brbrOn the first (ground) floor, the kitchen with its informal dining area and adjoining family room, the master bedroom, and small den with gas fireplace all share a view of Puget Sound. On the right evening, the moon shines from low on the horizon down Agate Pass, creating a bright swath of light across the kitchen. The family room has a television and a classic stone fireplace.
