There is plenty of parking right in front of The Cabin (up to the planters that are on the driveway). Also on the property (but not accessible to guests) are a shop with a gravel drive leading to it and the area behind the shop used for storing building supplies and other items which could be dangerous and that is why guests are asked to please avoid this area. The entrance is lined with fir trees making if feel like you`re driving into a forest and then it opens out into a clearing where the Cabin and the other houses are located. This is also a military community with NASWI (Naval Air Station Whidbey Island) located just a few miles north which means that you may hear the occasional jet flying as they are doing their training. The other main floor bedroom has a queen bed and a separate full bathroom. There are two bedrooms in the light-filled basement. One has a queen bed and the other has two bunk beds (sleeps 4 kids). The large deck off the main floor offers plenty of space for outdoor dining and recreation. The basement opens right up to the large backyard which includes a picnic table, fire pit for campfires and smores, horseshoe pits, a 2-person hammock, and a staircase right down to the private beach. A kayak room houses every size imaginable of beach walking boots and towels for your convenience. Two individual kayaks and one large canoe provide hours of fun on the water. If you have a boat, bring it! We have plenty of room for a trailer in the driveway and a public boat launch is located a mere half mile down the beach from us. There's lots of great fishing and crabbing just in front of the house. brbrThe kitchen is equipped with everything to make the most delicious gourmet dinner and a large outdoor grill stands ready for your BBQ needs.
