Pointe Red - Sauna/Hot Tub/Forest/Beach Retreat

Relax & unwind at this 2 story, 900 sf newly remodeled spa like retreat/guest house. Oversized windows frame a partial tranquil water view. Watch eagles soar between majestic pine trees that border the property. An infra red 2-person sauna (in bedroom), access to hot tub with forest view, outdoor cozy seating area with propane fire pit, a 2 min walk to a large beach, a 9 min walk to Battle Point Park & a hike to the Grand Forest will force you to slow down and smell the roses!

This newly remodeled guest house with a fully equipped kitchenette includes all of the features of a full kitchen with the exception of a full size stove. It has a full size refrigerator/freezer, a large Breville toaster oven, microwave, a toaster, a tea kettle, a coffee maker and 2 burner induction cook top. It has a pantry cupboard large enough to stock up with a week's worth of groceries. The Kitchenette contains a butcher block island on wheels, which doubles as a 4-seater dining table. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dinnerware, glassware, silverware and bakeware. ***Please note there is no dishwasher in this home***

Beautiful oversized windows in the living room offer a panoramic view of majestic pines, a colorful front patio area and a partial water view.

A cozy four seater sectional couch is a great spot to enjoy some downtime. A 55 Panasonic TV controlled by Apple TV, with a Sony surround speaker bar gives access to Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO, Peacock and Angel.

A bistro table for 2 overlooking the zen garden area is a great place to sit and enjoy morning coffee while planning your itinerary.

Should you need to work while here, there is a small desk downstairs, as well as a second desk in the upstairs bedroom which doubles as a vanity table. The water view will make your work day more relaxing!

There are 15 relatively steep steps (not suitable for people with mobility issues) leading to the second floor/huge bedroom with ensuite full bathroom.

A West Elm solid walnut four poster bed with a Novoform 14 Comfort Grande Advanced Hybrid mattress, along with luxury linens will ensure a peaceful night's sleep. Waking up to morning coffee in bed and a good book while enjoying the water view is a real treat.

Also included in the bedroom is a cozy twin bed with a twin pull out trundle to comfortably accommodate two children.

A nightly infra red sauna for two (located in the bedroom), offers mood lighting and blue tooth allows you to pair your music. It is a great way to unwind at the end of a busy day exploring the magic of the island.

The main entrance has an electronic keypad for self check in. This entrance is used by guests only, however it opens to a foyer which has doors to the guest home and a door to the main house that is not used and always locked). The foyer has radiant floor heating to take the edge off those PNW winter days. It has plenty of space to hang rain coats, a shoe cubby to leave hiking shoes, a book nook and also gives access to the back yard via a large glass patio door overlooking the zen garden area.

The large backyard feels like your very own private forest. This is a shared space with the main house (but rarely ever used by the main house). The patio is sectioned off with privacy screens. It has a comfortable outdoor seating area nestled around a large propane fire pit, an ideal place to cozy up at night and roast smores. Throw some steaks on the grill, relax and enjoy eating outside. The mini zen garden area is lit up at night. Firelights and lighted mushrooms add to the enchantment of this magical forest like back yard.

Guests are welcome to use the hot tub that is located on the shared (but sectioned off by privacy screens) patio. However, as a courtesy to other guests, I ask that you follow our strict hygiene rules so we are able to maintain highest cleanliness levels.

There is a private parking space specifically designated for Pointe Red guests. Please do not park anywhere else on the property (Additional parking is available upon request).

There are 11 steps up to the guest house from the parking place. This is not suitable for people with mobility issues.

There is no washer/dryer in the house, but upon request and for a fee, you are welcome to use the large washer/dryer at the family home.

If your party includes children, I can provide a pack n' play, children's table and chairs, age appropriate books and toys upon request.

Please note the property is not baby proofed at all. Children need to be closely monitored, especially in the outdoor spaces.
