Olympic Wanderer Creekside Hottub Olympic NP Hood Canal

Brinnon, Washington, United States

New! Welcome to Olympic Wanderer! This adorable creekside PNW cabin will blow you away with its charm, beautiful lush grounds, hot tub, and fire pit. The cabin is nestled in a private forested community next the hood canal, famous for its rich waters and shellfish harvesting. This is the perfect base for your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, and is a great central location close to endless amazing hiking trails, including Olympic NP and multiple state parks less than 10 minutes away.brbrbrThe highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. The cabin is older and rustic, and we are slowly renovating it over time. You will find plenty of imperfections, but also loads of charm. While the space is a work in progress, you will still find it clean, well appointed, comfortable and attractive. Please keep this in mind when considering booking. Upon entering, you will first come into the sun room which contains a desk and work space. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Dish satellite TV, which does give options for ordering movies for an additional fee. There is WIFI but due to the property’s rural location, satellite Internet is the only service available and streaming is not an option unfortunately. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. As for the second floor, you will need to climb the staircase, which is a bit steep and narrow. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! On the other side from the 2nd bedroom on the upper floor is the kids corner, which has 2 matching twin beds, some fun forest animal wall decor, and an art easel. The kids corner is separated from the bedroom by the barn door, but does not have a privacy door separating it from the stairwell. At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to the deck, which features the hot tub, bbq and an outdoor dining table w/umbrella.brbrbrPlease note that this an older rustic cabin with plenty of imperfections. There is a narrow steep staircase going to the upstairs bedroom and the location of the staircase is a bit awkward in the back entrance room of the house. We do not feel that these imperfections are anything that would effect the functionality of the house. It is a work in progress that we are renovating slowly over time. If you are looking for a new or high end luxury property, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for an outdoor haven with loads of character and charm, it’s a great fit! br

This beautiful low bank waterfront cabin in Brinnon is a great place to get away to and share happy times and good meals with your friends and family.brbrABOUT SEAL ROCK COTTAGEbrbrThis newly constructed house sits across the street from Hood Canal, giving it great views and lower summertime temperatures. Enjoy the sunrises over the canal while you have a coffee, or sit out and watch the evening sun glint off of Mt. Rainier while having dinner on the 600+ square foot deck.brbrIf you'd like to spend time by, or in, the water, this house has 60 feet of waterfront across the dead end street, and if you enter the campground at the end of the road, you can walk along the beach for over a mile. Because of the dead end road, this house's closest neighbor is a forested campground with hiking trails and wildlife to watch. Traffic may include bald eagles and deer, rather than cars and trucks. In addition, this house is one of the few houes in the area to be on the canal but not be directly on 101! Enjoy 300+ feet of wooded backyard to eliminate the sounds of the road while you enjoy the views and serenity of Hood Canal.brbrOn specific days in the summer, shrimping is allowed in Hood Canal. Launch your rowboat from the property and head out to catch your own dinner (a license is required).brbrREVIEWSbrbrJust a stone's throw from the water, and we could watch for harbor seals, sea lions, and orca! Cabin

Olympic Wanderer Creekside~ Hot-tub Olympic Peninsula Nature Retreat

Brinnon, Washington, United States

Welcome to Olympic Wanderer! This fairy-tale nature retreat creekside cabin will wow you with its stellar location, lush grounds, hot-tub, and stylish interior. The cabin is nestled in a forested community next the hood canal, famous for its rich waters and shellfish harvesting. This is the perfect base for your adventures on the Olympic Peninsula, and is a great central location close to endless amazing hiking trails, including Olympic NP and multiple state parks less than 10 minutes away.brbrThe highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq. There is a second deck that is covered overloooking the creek that has a pool table and more seating. Finally the converted lower carport contains the hottub overlooking the creek and a ping pong table for added fun!brbrPlease follow us on IG and tag us in your Olympic Peninsula Adventuresbr!brIG: @olympicwanderercabinbrbrPlease read the “things to note section”brBefore booking.brLaundry facilities are not included in cabin reservation(meaning unfortunately guests do not have access to washer/dryer)brbrUnfortunately guests do not have access to washer/dryer at this property. If more towels are needed during a stay, they can be requested. brPlease note that as stated in the description, the cabin is older and rustic and we have been and will be slowly be renovating it over time. You will find imperfections, but nothing that would affects functionality. brThe stairs are positioned in such a way that it’s a steep narrow opening to get into the first bedroom and the living room. While we don’t think it’s an inconvenience, it should be considered when deciding to book. Just watch your head!brbrSome phone carriers will have very limited service at the property as well.brDue to the heavily trees area and the unpredictable weather in Washington, we sometimes have brief power outages. The power is usually restored within an hour. Often people ask where the breaker box is during an outage. Please note that if the power is out, it is an area wide outage that county PUD will be working as quickly as possible to repair and restore the power. There is no need to do anything with the breaker box in this event. Due to country outages being outside of our control, discounts or refunds will not be given unless the outage causes a safety concern that results in needing to cancel the reservation.brbrIMPORTANT:brWe just had a brand new septic system installed that was a lengthy and expensive process. Part of the system is located on the grass lawn to the left of the driveway when pulling in. Park only in the driveways, carports, or on the street, thank you!brbrPlease note there will be a late check out fee of $50 for guests are not checked out on time without prior approval and go over the 15 minute grace period. brAdditionally, please remember that the cleaning fee is paid in full to the cleaner which covers cleaning the house, laundering and preparing for the next guest. It does not include cleaning up garbage, washing excessive amounts of dishes, or other excessive cleaning. If the cleaning company charges extra for excessive mess, this cost will be passed to the guest.brbrPool Table: we loved the idea of having a pool table at the cabin and many people enjoy it however, it should be noted that the room that the pool table is in is smaller and there is not a ton of room for maneuvering around. it should be thought of as just a fun extra and should probably not be the main reason that someone books this cabin as it is a little bit of a tight space surrounding the pool table.
