House was great for our family. We enjoyed our stay very much. Great location and views.
We had a fabulous time at this property. Everything was as described and in great condition. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to this area.
Everything about our stay surpassed expectations. This area of Virginia has stunning natural beauty and serenity and we also encountered pretty nice weather even in the middle of July. We didn't want to be anywhere else. We picked peaches twice at Hartland orchard which is less than 10 minutes away. We also took day trips to Washington DC, Shenandoah National Park and historic battlefields. We left many things undone that would have been fun to do. The deck felt like a treehouse being at mid canopy with the large trees in the backyard which cast nice shade while also allowing for a view. The trees also provided shelter to birds who provided the pleasant music of nature. At dusk, the fireflies light up the backyard. Along with the meat on the grill, it was a true symphony for the senses! The house itself is a VRBO dream and that seems to reflect the genuine care of the owners in ensuring our stay was as ideal as possible. Very clean home plus it has the little things like labels on the light switches, quality kitchen utensils simple and uncluttered decor. The basement pool table and dart board was a lot of fun. The only complaint was a washing machine that had some odd and loud sounds, but it did the job. Well, all that to say, we had a great time! This will place will be on the short list to stay at again if we come back to this area.
This house has it all, it’s extremely clean, in a beautiful location and the owners have put effort into making sure every detail about your stay is fantastic! Thank you for a great stay!!
This was oure second time in this beautiful home.. We arrived to the same clean quite safe environment we had left the last time. It was like we were coming home from a shopping trip everything was exactly the way we left it. Verry reassuring for my autistic son who thrives on routine. The kettle was a wonderful touch. Thank you for making these necessary trips more like a wonderful minny vacation. I cant express how important this is to oure family We got to see several of the nebors this time who were all welcoming and waved and smiled to is whitch made me feel evion more safe . Again thank you from a grateful mother. You guys are the best ????
We had a great time during our stay in this contemporary/modern cabin - nice change from the traditional. It's as pictured and very well kept (CLEAN & FRESH). The area is surrounded by other homes, yet has privacy and quiet. We used the grill (glad we found the spare tank in the middle of cooking) and had fun with the down stairs games. The only negative for us all were that the beds were unusually hard/firm for comfort. We enjoyed the mornings and evenings in the cabin and our days riding our motorcyles, enjoying the beautiful scenary in the surrounding areas including the winding roads of the scenic Shenandoah national park skyline drive. Indeed, a nice get-away and wonderful memories made with our adult son!
Clean beautiful quite safe. This lovely home was just what we needed,a safe respit befor my sons procedure. We arrived to a clean, beautiful, quite, and safe spot for the night.Everything was as promised so refreshing. Check in was a easy and check out was evion easer.. the pool table and games made the trip more like a minnie vacation than a hafto trup. Thank you for all you done to make this trip the most successful one thus far. The location was close enough to make the morning commute easy but far enough away from the caoss to feel more like home.
We gathered to celebrate all of our 50th birthdays. Even though it rained our first two days, we stayed in and played games and truly enjoyed our time together! Cute place to escape for a long weekend! Owners were prompt with their responses to our questions!
All six of us loved our stay. The communication was quick and easy, the house was clean, kitchen was well stocked, and beds were very comfortable. Having three bathrooms was fantastic! Well worth the money! We would all recommend it.
Lovely view. Nice and quiet location. Very scenic and romantic.
We loved this house! We feel really lucky to have been the first official guests here. The house is spacious, comfortable, bright, great design with plenty of space for us six adults. The guys enjoyed shooting pool and darts. Large deck with a nice mountain view and gas grill, large shaded porch with swing. This house is great for all seasons, with a cozy gas fireplace, and easy-open screened windows. Fenced yard and gated deck, plenty of parking, easy location to find and access. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was great for preparing and serving our Thanksgiving meal. Tastefully decorated, with so many thoughtful touches that made us feel truly welcome, unlike so many rentals now that are corporately owned. Loved the location, in the mountains, relaxed and away from it all, close to Shenandoah National Park, complete privacy, yet still close to shopping and restaurants, and even very driveable if you wanted to visit historic sites or DC. Hosts were awesome, quickly responsive. We had no problems, just two questions when we first arrived, and they responded immediately. We will def want to stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s pretty much exactly as listed. Renovated, clean, spacious, comfortable, and a really nice location (we went in between DC and Shenandoah). As a prior reviewer said, the only (very minor) downside is that the shower water pressure was low. But It did not negatively affect our stay. Would highly recommend.
House inside-out was meticulously decorated and clean. Very modern and comfortable furniture, some from Ikea yes, but not the flimsy, you-screw-it-together kind. Bedrooms good size and beds/sheets/pillows very comfortable. Pictures in the listing matched exactly the reality, so no surprises there. Fast internet throughout. Only one observation, which did not detract from the quality of the place: the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. Unquestionably, it's a great place to make your base for exploring the general area. If it was my place, I would add an outdoor firepit and a hot tub, but I am guessing there is additional maintenance and possibly liability for having those and may not be worth the headache.
