We're just around the corner from Clinton Park, which is an amazing outdoor space to take the kids or the pets! brbrWe are only an 11-minute walk from the Hinterland Bar & Food Carts, an 8-minute walk to Benbear's Beers and all the food carts at The Lot on Division, a 3-minute car ride to the famous Bagdad Theatre and Pub and all the amazing restaurants, bars, arcades, and public spaces that the Hawthorn and Division streets have to offer! If you're feeling adventurous, a short walk or drive (it's 1 mile away) brings you to the base of Mt. Tabor; the 196-acre city park that is perfect for a hike, a picnic, or a bike ride.The 360-degree view of Portland from the top is incredible! brbrOur home offers enough space for everyone to feel at home, while also showcasing her 95-year-old charm. Our large picture windows offer views of mature trees right across the street, and they're beautiful in any season! You'll find two bedrooms with super comfortable beds and luxury linens that will offer a restful nights' sleep. They both offer king sized beds. **Please note: Access to the sitting room with space for an additional guest is obtained by walking through one of the other bedrooms, but it does have doors that close it off. This set up makes for a perfect family suite. brbrOur backyard is fully enclosed and is a great space to play with the kids. While enjoying the private back yard space, you'll be able to see a variety of local plants and succulents lovingly planted around the perimeter of the yard. When you're outside, you'll undoubtedly be visited by the two juvenile crows that were born in the pine trees behind the house last year. Their names are Cheryl and Russell (get it they're crows...) and they love peanuts. You'll find some in the kitchen cabinet above the coffee pot. You can throw them out or lay a few on the railing outside the kitchen door and watch them collect their treasures through the kitchen window. It's really neat!brbrThe attic and basement are our personal spaces and therefore, access is not permitted. Access to the garage is reserved for the owners, as well. This is a home away from home perfect for families with children and perfect for Business needs. Everything is brand new as the house was redone from the studs up. brbrThe Metzger/Multnomah Village neighborhood is minutes from downtown Portland (off peak hours = 12 minutes), the Portland Zoo, Japanese and Rose Gardens, blocks from the largest mall in the state and one exit from Lake Oswego. Being only 6 blocks from I-5 makes it extremely convenient for any activity that brings you to Oregon without having to navigate the congested Highway 26 at the North end of the city.brbrThis location in the Metro area is our personal favorite and we have owned several homes in the neighborhood because it is convenient to everything, quaint, quiet and well established. The home is walking distance to Fred Meyers grocery store, 5 blocks from Metzger Park, 1 mile from the Garden Home Rec Center which has summer camp for kids, classes for all ages, sports activities year round and much more and 3 miles from the quaint Multnomah Village. Portland Community College Sylvania campus is 2 miles away. brbrYou will have the entire home to live in during your stay. The home is a large 2200 feet with 5 bedrooms (7 beds), 3 full baths on a 1/2 acre with beautiful trees and a lovely sunset deck. There are 5 bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 3 downstairs. The upstairs master has a queen bed with a private bath and large walk in closet. The 2nd upstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds and a full bath off the hall. Downstairs has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, a 2nd room with a queen bed, and a 3rd room with bunk beds. There is a spacious full bath downstairs. All 3 baths have shower and tub are stocked with soap, lotion, hair products, hair dryer. All of the linens are new and there are plenty of blankets and pillows and cozy comforters. Upstairs comfortably sleeps 4 and downstairs 6. All rooms have true mattresses; there are no futons.. This is a very family friendly home as the downstairs offers a spacious living/ rec room and there's lots of yard to play in and explore. (Please note - - - due to insurance restrictions we absolutely do not allow events! Maximum people day or night is 12. Licensing does not allow gatherings beyond the registered guests. If you choose to cook you have a fully utensiled gourmet kitchen including oil, spices, coffee pot. There is a phenomenal grocery store walking distance 4 blocks away for any food items you might need. There are lots of local pubs and eateries within a mile of the house and a guide to Portland's central restaurants is provided.brbrKara and I are avid cyclists and can provide referrals to bike rental shops and great cycling destinations. We are not on site but close by if you need us. We love this house and our city and are excited to share both with you. Kara has decorated the house with treasures for all to enjoy.
