Enjoy spectacular sunsets over the ocean from our large picture windows facing the beach and mountains as you relax in our well appointed great room. brPlay in the sand right off the deck or on the beach, and enjoy long quiet walks on Nedonna's wide sand beach. The Nehalem Jetty is just steps away and a great place to see seals and a variety of sea birds. Restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away.brOur 2480 square foot, two bathroom home can comfortably sleep 8 people: 2 in the large upstairs primary suite in a King bed, 2 in the downstairs Queen bedroom, 4 in the Queen/bunk bedroom in the third downstairs bedroom, and we do have a fold-open sofa and futon bed in the great room on the main level as well. The master includes a 42 Flat Panel HD TV & DVD player with YouTube TV, and streaming access in a lovely sitting area, and has its own large private bathroom complete with a shower and clawfoot tub. The downstairs bedrooms have a full bathroom with shower stall for bathing. There is an additional shower stall in the laundry room area as well.brOne of the nicest features of our home is the large vaulted great room that encompasses the living, dining and kitchen areas. The panoramic view of the ocean, jetty and Neahkahnie Mountain is spectacular! Our large outside deck includes a lovely table and four comfortable chairs, with plenty of room for additional seating if needed. brThe living area includes a natural stone fireplace, 42' flat panel HD TV with YouTube TV, and streaming access, Blu-Ray DVD Player and comfortable seating for all. The dining area includes a Bluetooth Sound Box, dining table for up to 10, island counter seating for 4, and dimmable lighting.brThe large, well stocked kitchen includes an oversize center island with electric range, separate oven & microwave, quiet dishwasher, and ample countertops with a double-bowl sink. We have a large yard and path which connects the house directly to the beach. There are great views of the Twin Rocks from house and the deck, or get closer and hang out on picnic table overlooking the beach. We have a hot tub off the deck and a retro arcade in the basement, with Skeeball, pop-a-shot and retro arcade games. brbrThe 3-level house was remodeled in 2014, but we kept much of the original 1920’s beach house charm. The main house is on the top 2 levels with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, full kitchen, TV room and great room (living/dining). The lower level apartment has 2 more bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette, plus the arcade. The house has a total of 6 bedrooms and 3 baths and sleeps up to 16 people. brbrUpstairs, on the top floor, there are 2 large bedrooms each with a king bed. The east room has a view of the mountains and west room has a great view of the ocean and Twin Rocks. The 2 upstairs bedrooms also have queen size beds that can be pulled out from under the main beds to sleep additional people. The top floor also has a full bathroom and a TV room.brbrThe main floor has small vintage kitchen, a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and two smaller bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with twin bunk beds. The apartment has a separate outside entrance on the east side of the house, or can be accessed from the main house through an interior door on the lower level arcade room.brbrbrOutside the main house front door, facing the ocean and Twin Rocks, is a deck and a hot tub and a private path through our yard leads about 200 feet to a very quiet section of the beach right in front of the Twin Rocks.brbrThe basement has a retro arcade game room. A spectacular wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and a private deck take in glorious beach, ocean and mountain views. brbrOpen and spacious with vaulted ceilings, Windows on the Sea is the 1225 sq. foot prime corner unit directly in front of the water with an unbroken view up and down our 7 mile long sandy beach. With front row seats to enjoy the ever-changing elements, there's nothing between you and the sea. Gorgeous in sunny weather, there's also no better place for storm-watching or relaxing with a good book or project in the winter. brbrOur small complex is tucked away at the quiet north end of Rockaway Beach. The modern curved building offers each unit complete privacy from neighbors, and with the stout concrete construction, it's virtually sound proof. Windows on the Sea is beautifully furnished in a modern style, and offers more thoughtful amenities than you've probably ever experienced in a rental. It features two bedrooms, both with quality king beds. Both have firm mattresses with pillow tops and 550 thread-count double-ply linens. We allow up to 5 people, but there are only two beds. There are 2 large couches (not pull-out) and extra linens in case you have someone who wants to sleep in the living room). Two luxurious marble and tile baths have glass-enclosed walk-in showers, plus a large soaking tub in the master bath. We are the only unit in this building with a water heater appropriately sized to both heat the space and sufficient water for the giant tub and all of your other water needs - the only unit with a 120-gallon tank! We also are the only unit with solar shades on some of the huge view windows for relief from the intense sun on exceptionally bright and hot days, and black-out shades in the bedrooms which face the rising sun in the morning. Cook and sip in a gourmet kitchen with all new stainless appliances while enjoying the view. Our kitchen is equipped for a cook, with virtually everything you might be reaching for. Bar stools line the kitchen island, and there's a round glass-top dining table next to the balcony windows, where we have a gas BBQ (available from mid-March through mid-October), cushy chairs and a small table. The condo includes a 55 Sony Smart TV with satellite (including HBO and Showtime) and Blu-ray/DVD player, along with free wi-fi so you can be as connected as you want to be. There's also a large library of CDs, DVDs and books for your enjoyment. The ground floor is the parking, giving the condos above elevated views. Windows on the Sea is on the top floor with vaulted ceilings and long views all the way up and down Rockaway's amazing 7 mile sandy beach. The 5th bedroom, 3rd bath and laundry room are located downstairs and accessed through a separate outside entrance.brbrSliding glass doors in the dining rooms lead to a large deck in the back of the house with a hot tub and panoramic views of the ocean and Twin Rocks. A private path leads through our yard directly to the beach right in front of the Rocks. brbrThe house even has its own retro arcade downstairs in the garage to entertain the kids (and adults) when the weather is bad.
