Stayed May 20, 2025From the moment we stepped inside, it was like walking into an artful time capsule — every room tells a story, and every corner is full of charm, character, and quirky personality. The place is seriously funky in the best way — think bold colors, vintage decor, eclectic art, and cozy, lived-in vibes.Giant mirrors, sculptural furniture, and velvet seating made the living rooms feel plush and inviting. The walls are rich with deep reds, mustard tones, and unexpected treasures like antique busts, curio shelves, and a “Sea Breeze” vintage bar nook that made us feel like we were in a Wes Anderson film. There’s even a reading nook with wild books, cool artifacts, and phrenology heads.Natural light pours in through the bay windows, perfect for morning coffee or a cozy evening wind-down.Whether you’re into design, history, or just want a super memorable place to stay — this house delivers. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re visiting Portland and want something truly special. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Stayed May 5, 2025Super conveniently located in a great neighborhood and even though we might've spent more time on the front porch than inside, it proved to be the PERFECT spot for our group of collaborators to share housing while in town for a conference we were presenting at. Thank you!

Stayed Nov 27, 2024This house was perfect for out-of-town family to be close to Portland family members. With five bedrooms, everyone was comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed with good appliances - fridge, oven & dishwasher. There was plenty of room for all of us to eat together in the dining room. The house stayed comfortable warm, but not too warm. It was nice to have the fenced back yard which was safe for our dog to be with us. The neighborhood was nice, lots of good walks, dog park very close and it was quiet. Street parking was easy. An all-round excellent experience.

Stayed Jul 3, 2024While the house is beautiful, we did get to stay there during a hot weekend and the air conditioner couldn't quite keep up with the heat. We also had an older parent with us who had a difficult time getting in and out of the claw foot bathtubs. Nice kitchen, comfy beds and parking on site was appreciated!
