The hosts Jon and Whitney were very welcoming and gave clear instructions for everything about our suite upon our arrival there was no question we needed to ask. We loved the location a quiet quaint neighborhood. We stayed for three nights and felt very comfortable and safe.We were close to everything we wanted to do the mall, downtown, Old town and only about 30 min to the wineries in Newberg, if you want to take a beautiful drive out in the country. We loved the updated cozy suite with heated bathroom floors and soaking tub. We will definitely come back next time we come to Portland for a stay. Thank you again!Eddie & Melissa B.

This was the perfect location for hubby and I. Clean, comfortable, accommodating. Easy check in/out. I’d love to come back in the summer so I can enjoy the outside sitting area. Defiantly would stay here again. Great communication! Thanks!

Great place to stay for 1-2 people and in a nice neighborhood in the outer Portland area. Had everything I needed in the space with a small fridge and kitchen items. Hosts are very responsive a accommodating.

Great communication from the host and great location. It is a nice quiet neighborhood and convenient to get downtown. The rental is a studio style room with a small kitchenette area but we didn’t plan to cook. The bathroom was newly renovated and very nice. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here! The property was accurate to the listing and it included a lot of great amenities. The space was very clean, other than a few stray hairs stuck on some towels, and the AC vent in the bathroom could use a little wipe down. Check in and check out was very easy and the host was very specific in their instruction on how to locate the property and how to enter. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets provided. You can hear the residents of the main house walking around upstairs which is not an issue if you’re exploring around Portland during the day, and it was very quiet after about 8p. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Had a wonderful stay.

Perfect place to stay for a weekend away and a wedding in the area. Rather than being in a noisy hotel we were in a nice quiet neighborhood with a beautifully prepared separate entrance. Definitely staying here again, if we can, when we're back in town.

All good Had a bit of problem finding entry as not directly seen from outside and a solid wood gate had to be cross first… fixable, by adding detail to description.

Very nice. We enjoyed the patio. We felt the studio apartment was decorated nicely. The bathroom was large and very modern (even had a heated floor). The owners were available if we had questions and concerns. The only suggestion would be to have an ice maker.

At a time where people are starting to stray away from vacation rentals, I’m very glad we decided to stay here! The listing was accurate, everything from pictures of the unit to the safe neighborhood.Some basement apartment rentals are dark and stuffy, but this was the complete opposite experience for us. There was so much light to be let in the space, and the additional private outdoor patio is such a nice touch. This location is very central. It gave the convenience of being close to major highways without staying downtown. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and we couldn’t ask for more. If ever I find myself in Portland again, I would book this place a thousand times over. I cannot recommend this stay enough.

Our favorite place to stay!

We throughly enjoyed our recent stay. After a 12 hour drive we were ready to unwind and relax. I enjoyed the large soaker tub -my favorite part of our stay.Our room was clean, comfortable and the pictures online were very accurate. Thank you for providing a wonderful experience! Thank you Everand

Clean, cozy, private

My boyfriend and I had the best time in Portland and this VRBO was perfect for us! It was clean and quite and worked well for our stay. Easy check in and check out. We had no problems throughout our stay and we hope to come back and stay again!

Hands down the nicest place I've ever had the opportunity of booking. The place isn't as pictured and described...it's BETTER. I had wonderful communication from the hosts, and when I got there, the check in process was super smooth and easy. The place was immaculately clean. It's in such a nice quiet neighborhood with no street noise whatsoever, but still so close to everything. There is normal house noise from the water heater and during the day you can hear the residence, but nothing you wouldn't expect from any household. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I was bummed to leave after my weekend of curling, and I will for sure look to book this place anytime I need a spot in the Portland area. Thank you so much Jon and Whitney for providing such a wonderful vacation rental. You have gone above and beyond with attention to detail, cleanliness, and hospitality.

All windows are totally sealed up so there is no ability to have fresh air unless you sleep with the door open. Also, owners have control of the thermostat so you have to call if you need it adjusted. We did not end up staying there (though paid the first night) because of this issue.

Great location for us near family. Bathroom is exquisite. Courtyard is perfect size. Room is great bed is comfortable and space is very clean. Great communication from host. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This place was perfect for us. My wife and I were in Portland, visiting friends. This property was perfect for us - close to highways and various stores. LOVE the tub and heated floors in the bathroom. We will definitely book a stay again.

This was our second time staying at this property. It won’t be our last stay. It’s located close to our son, and easy access to major roadways and attractions. Jonathan and Whitney are excellent hosts. Easy to contact, quick to respond and noninvasive of the visitor’s time and space. We will be back.

Well appointed, very clean, private entrance with a dedicated driveway and lovely neighborhood in a central location.

This space was perfect for two people! We stayed 3 nights. We could make coffee and simple breakfasts. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is luxurious . I would go back again in a heartbeat!

Great stay with the exception of sink/drain noise and upstairs home noise

It’s so nice to stay at a property that has a high quality mattress, pillows and bedding because so often this is not the case. I slept so soundly. The beautiful soaker tub was so nice to sink into on cold, wet days. Plus, the shower had a powerful water flow which was also appreciated. The radiant heat under the bathroom floors was a treat too. I felt the owners thoughtfully created creature comforts in a city that can be wet & windy. So enjoyed my stay.

I was in town for a few days on business and needed a quiet place with good access to Portland. I loved the location and how quiet the neighborhood is. The room is well-appointed with everything I needed. When I had a question about logging in to live TV, Jon was available to answer. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit!

This location was perfect for my strange call schedule as a medical professional. I come and go at odd hours and the attached space was ideal. The living area was clean, modern, and private. Jonathan was a great hoast and communicates well. I highly recommend this rental!

Had a really nice stay. The driveway/entrance were a little tricky to find at night, but otherwise the place was lovely!

My Mom and I needed a place to stay for a couple days that was close to OHSU. This location is perfect. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we felt much safer than staying in a hotel. Their home is beautifully set up and had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you to our host Whitney and Jon for creating this cozy rental space.

Nicely appointed studio apartment in a very quiet, nice neighborhood. Private entrance and parking were ideal. We never saw homeowner/resident and hopefully we kept a low profile as well. Studio had all needed items for our short stay, although some decaf hot drink options would have been nice (a minor issue). Bigger concerns are a very loud flushing type noise from the kitchen sink area at all hours of the night, with the sink about 10 feet from the bed. There was some running around upstairs, but that was minimal. Vacuuming upstairs at 7 am one morning was a bit more disruptive. Window covering on main door was not a good fix for privacy or light as it hung over the door frame and had to be up to open door, leaving personal items visible through the window once we left. Overall, it's a good value as long as you keep in mind that it's a basement apartment. We would not stay again unless that plumbing issue is fixed. Otherwise, it was a satisfactory stay.

This was the cutest place! The location was perfect for exploring downtown Portland and the surrounding areas. It was very clean and the heated floors in the bathroom were a fantastic touch. The hosts were super responsive to questions we had! If you’re a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs, as we could hear some footsteps above us, even with the fan on. Overall I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend this place for a couple on a Portland getaway!
