It is in a quiet, private location with a lake, dune, and ocean view. You will not have to leave the house to enjoy the Oregon Coast view, but you must drive to the dunes or beach via car or highway. This house is very special, and we ask all guests to stay with care. brbrThis is a custom house built in the 1980s. Some of the redwood timbers used to build the house were from an old mill in Northern California. To access the house, there is a half-mile of gravel road off Highway 101. The gravel road may have potholes or children playing, so drive slowly. There is no direct access to the dunes. You have to trailer your OHVs to a nearby staging area. brbrGuests will have access to the entire house, except no access to the garages or outbuildings. Please respect the 2 neighbors who also live along the road and do not enter their private property. brbrThe shower in the master bathroom has a large window. This can make guests nervous, but the window is on the back side of the house with a view of the dunes and ocean. It is located on a secluded part of the deck that only your guest can access. brbrLiving with wildlife: Small bats roost in the cedar siding in spring and summer. We recommend closing windows and doors without screens at night to keep them outside. If a bat gets in the house, stay calm. It doesn't want to be in the house and will fly around looking for an escape. It will tuck itself into the vaulted ceilings in the loft. Let us know if this happens, but due to the height of the ceilings, there are no guarantees we can remove the bat. brbrWe live nearby, so we are a call away if you need us. Otherwise, you will have your privacy.

Watch the oysters boats harvest oysters out across the bay. Large ocean going ships transporting Oregon logs maneuvered by Tugs may grace your stay. Amazing views! brbrBayview house was built in 1955 and recently remodeled.(The upper level of the house was renovated in 2019 with the lower level fully renovated in 2021)brbrThis home features Panoramic views of the Bay with breathtaking sunrises. If you want to try your hand at crabbing , we can advise you on licensing and where to go. brbrBandon Dunes is located 22 miles south of the property.brbrA local casino is just over a mile away.( The Mill Casino) brbrThe Oregon Dunes stretch for 54 miles between North Bend and Florence for ATV/ Off-road enthusiasts. There are many seasonal things available in the area from clam and crab festivals, the cranberry festival in Bandon, blackberry festival in coos bay, and the Fun festival with the Steve Prefontaine run. Salmon fishing begins in August / September with steelhead fishing in January-March. We are also home to 3A State BasketballOregon Coast and the Music Festival. Bandon Dunes is a short drive away and offers year round golfing. Shore Acres lights are also a must see from Thanksgiving-New Year’s Eve that returned in 2022 with a new reservation system.
