[See also 1365373 and 1201949 for photos and reviews]. brbrOur homes all have our signature high quality bedding and deck furniture. This home will have some very different and distinct colors and beautiful custom faux finished walls. brbrIf you have ever been to Surf City, you are familiar with this this home as it sits in a group of 4 iconic luxury ocean front buildings (which make up 8 luxury ocean front town homes). These large beautify candy collored town homes makeup the town of Surf City shore line and sit on North Shore drive in the 100 block next to Daddy Mac’s Restaurant and across from Shaka Taco. This home is the large lavendar home. You can truly park your car when you arrive and not get in it again for your entire vacation! Walking distance (1/2 mile or less) to 15 eating establishments from snow cones and ice cream to some of the islands best restaurants pizza and entertainment for adults and children! You can even walk to the marina and rent a boat, go out on a fishing charter or take a dinner cruise. Walk to the surf city park and enjoy free Friday night outdoor movies and concerts or just enjoy all that the town has to offer. When you come home you can relax by the private community pool overlooking the beach (Private to the 8 luxury town homes). The pool is just exclusive enough to retain the privacy but gives the children and young adults a chance to make friends quickly. brbrWhile this home has “location, location, location”, the real benefit is the quality of the home itself. The first thing that you will notice is the quality of the construction. The home features porcelain tile and premium vinal plank flooring throughout, heavy trim work and 10 ft ceilings. The quality construction also includes heavy insulation, so you will immediately be impressed by how quiet the home is (important when you are vacationing with a large group). Each of the 4 main bedrooms is a master (having its own private full bathroom attached). The bedrooms are furnished with three King bedroom, and one bunk room (containing on custom build Twin XL over Queen and one custom Twin over twin). These bunk beds are not your typical bunk beds. They have premium mattresses and we have extended the head-space between the beds so an adult can literally sit in the bed without smacking their head on the upper bunk or feeling clustraphobic. The fifth bedroom is what we call an overflow room. It is located on the entry level and has a custom twin over full bunk to help accommodate the overflow when unexpected additional guests show up (because you know when you have a wonderful place at the beach ….it will happen!). Again, this is a custom built bunk with premium mattresses. Note that this room does not have a private bathroom, (but your guest will find it far superior to a sofa sleeper alternative for your overflow that is offered in many other homes!!) Everyone will appreciate the elevator to move luggage, food and family between floors.brbrWe rented for nearly 30 years before we were finally able to purchase our own rental property in Topsail. These chairs are not only extremely comfortable, they give you a spectacular unobstructed view of the ocean. Enjoy the stunning views from the two covered ocean front decks overlooking the ocean and swimming pool You will never want to go inside!brbrFully stocked kitchen and Pantry items: This kitchen is complete with all the kitchen gadgets and utensils you could desire. We even have turkey roasters! The home features a “pay it forward pantry” where we start the prime season with spices, pantry items, coffee, shampoo, paper products, laundry detergent and kitchen non-perishables. These items are available for our guest to use and enjoy on an honor system. We only ask that when you use the last of something, you pay it forward to the next guest by replacing it. If you have non-perishables you do not want to take home, feel free to pay it forward for the next guest to enjoy. brbrPay it forward beach chairs for guest use: We do not guarantee beach chairs however our guests frequently leave them thus provide several collapsible/folding beach chairs for the home. We all know that the salt air and sand cause these chairs to rapidly degrade. If you use our chairs and one happens to break, we ask that you simply pay it forward and replace the chair so that our next guests can enjoy the benefit of not having to pack these items. You can also feel free to leave a chair behind if you do not have room for it. brbrParking is under the home for 3 large cars. If cars are small compact cars, you can sometimes squeeze a 4th but you may not have the car hang out into the driveway and can not park in any of the community common area (it is a tow away zone with towing enforced). It comes complete with free beach/public parking, leather seats, and a great sound system. You will have a blast riding the golf cart to the nearby shops, restaurants, beach access, and the pier. We charge $50/day or $250/week for access to the golf cart. brbrThe first floor consists of the garage and entryway. In the back of the garage there is an outdoor shower and propane grills. The second floor has 2 bedrooms, each with their own private full bathroom and closet space as well as the laundry room. The master bedroom is on the second floor and includes a private covered deck, walk-in closet and dedicated workspace. The third floor has a large open living space which includes the kitchen and the living room. The living room wall-to-wall glass doors open from both sides out to the upstairs deck. The 3rd floor's oceanside of the property includes another queen bedroom with a full bathroom that opens up to the common area as well as the bedroom. brbrEach bedroom includes its own dedicated guest closet space, a dresser, and hangers to make your stay organized and convenient. If you need a 4th bed, there is a high end blow up mattress in the garage you can put in the living room. However, guests shorter than 5'8 enjoy sleeping on the insanely comfortable couch we have instead of the blow up mattress.brbrThe kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need including Pottery Barn Dishware and an additional Ice Machine for your beach days. The dining areas can comfortably fit 6 people outside and 4 inside. There is an additional 6 person folding table available in the case of poor weather.brbrHave infants No problem. Main living is located on the top level to ensure the best view possible for lounging on the sofa, eating family meals together and porches on both levels to enjoy the ocean breeze. Great balance of accessibility to amenities on the island and access to the mainland while also having the space on the private access beach to spread out with family and friends.brbrWhen you pull up to The Wheelhouse you will be greeted by a nice flat, partially paved parking area that can fit up to 6 vehicles. Like most beach properties, the house is on stilts so you will climb the stairs to Floor 1 entrance. brbrFrom the driveway, if you turn towards the beach, directly across the road from you is the private beach access for the neighborhood. It is a very quick walk to get your toes in the sand! brbrFloor 1:brOn Floor 1, you will find the king-bed master with ensuite double vanity with walk in shower bath, as well as access to the porch. Also on Floor 1 are two additional queen-bed bedrooms with a shared ensuite jack and jill bath; the bath has a water closet with a shower/tub combo and toilet allowing for privacy while sinks are in use. You will also find the laundry room with full size washer and dryer on this level. brbrFloor 2:brOne of our absolute favorite features of the house, is the Floor 2 Porch that allows you watch the waves roll in on the private beach across the street. The layout of this house specifically put the living room and open kitchen on this floor to capitalize on the long range ocean view. The living room has a large sectional perfect for a group movie night. The eat-in kitchen bar and open dining area allows for everyone to be engaged and part of the fun. The luxury kitchen boast of beautiful stainless steel appliances and all the tools you will need to host a family style dinner. Eating together is a priority for us, so we ensured the table could accommodate all of the guest. We also have a drip and k-cup coffee machine so you can enjoy that morning cup on the porch. The 4th queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom is located on this floor as well as a half bath. brbrTo help you and your group enjoy the fun of the beach, we provide chairs as well as beach towels for guest, and an enclosed outdoor shower for easy washing. brbrWe are just a very short drive (or bike ride!) from the central amenities and restaurants of Surf City.brbrThe house has the highest speed wifi available and a private work space in bedroom 3 making this a great work from remote work option capable of all your video conferencing needs. brbrSecurity:brWe have three security cameras + a ring doorbell on this property.
