New air conditioning installed upstairs and down for 2022 season. Although in a quiet cove, the private dock has deep water, great views and lots of space to hang. There are 2 paddleboards, wonder noodles and water lounges as well as some water toys and beach towels available to use during your stay. There are lots a places here to relax and enjoy the lake - my favorite is the hanging chair on the top deck! There are rocking chairs on the top deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. A love seat and chairs on the lower porch for sipping a beverage with friends. A table and chairs with umbrella on the pier for eating lunch while fishing and swimming. A set of lounge chairs on the dock for reading that neglected stack of magazines. A large patio with dining table and picnic table, perfect for sharing a meal with family while enjoying the sunset. Then flip on the string lights and enjoy those perfect summer nights by the water. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, utensils, cookware and small appliances including a blender, coffee maker, toaster and crock pot. There are also some cooking basics such as common spices, flour, sugar, oil and coffee. A 36 Blackstone griddle is located on the upstairs deck, close to the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms in the home. The first and second bedrooms have queen sized beds and the third is a bunk room with a full sized bed on bottom and twin up. Crib and highchair provided upon request. There is wireless internet available as well as 3 flat screen TV's with Roku, Netflix and Disney+ service. There are also books, board games and cards. A half bath up is located upstairs, and a full bath with deep soaker tub is located on the same level as the bedrooms. We recently added an outdoor lake shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off. The lower level also has the washer and dryer.brbrWe truly want all our guests to enjoy our Green Heron Cottage as much as we do and try to provide everything needed to simply come and relax.brbrFor the protection of the home and the safety those who help maintain it, there are security cameras on the exterior of the cottage viewing the front porch and garage area.

No more spending time picking up and returning a rental boat on a deadline. Have your boat waiting for you when you arrive. Take an early morning cruise or cruise for a dockside dinner. Inquire with homeowner for info and pricingbrbrOur home is ideal for multiple families gathering to enjoy lakefront living at its best. Beautiful lake views can be seen from every room in the house. Renovations were made to the home in 2017, updating the bathrooms, flooring, HVAC's and kitchen appliances. We offer three bedrooms with attached baths and large closets. One suite is located on the main floor with a queen bed. The attached bath has a walk-in shower. There are 2 more suites upstairs both with attached baths. One is furnished with a king bed and the other has a queen. There is a bunk loft area with a twin over full that is ideal for children. We also offer a Pack & Play so you don't have to bring your own. Additionally, a queen sleeper sofa was added in January 2024 allowing us to sleep a total of 11 people. There is a designated workspace available if you must check in with the office.brbrTwo large family rooms feature flat screen smart TV’s and plenty of seating. Yes, we have wifi! The upstairs family room has vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows offering expansive lake views. The cozy downstairs family room features two leather sofas and a recliner, with large windows overlooking the lake. The fully-stocked kitchen has seating at the bar area or room for eight at a large dining table. A new convection wall oven was installed in November of 2018 and the cooktop was replaced in 2021. Then in 2022 all new counters and backsplash was added. There is a large laundry room with washer and dryer available for your use.brbrOur home features a huge wrap-around deck with rocking chairs perfect for a relaxing afternoon under a canopy of trees or you can settle in on the outdoor sofa in the attached screened-in porch. The screened porch has a large farmhouse table to seat the whole family as well. brbrYou can enjoy roasting marshmallows at the lake side fire pit or play a game of cornhole. Kids will love fishing off the dock or taking turns on the tree swing. We also have 2 kayaks for adults and 2 smaller ones for kids to go out and explore the cove. Kids of all ages love playing or sunbathing on our water mat. We keep a few life vests in the deck box for your use as well, especially for the little ones. There is always deep enough water at the pier to dock your boat. Better yet, rent our new Tri-toon with tube for pulling and have it waiting on you when you arrive.brbrOur home is ideally located to Mooresville and Huntersville for shopping and restaurants. We are less than an hour from both uptown Charlotte and Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord. There are several motorsport museums nearby and the Nascar Hall of Fame.brbrWe take great pride in keeping our home clean for our guests and have been even more vigilant during this virus scare.brbrMaximum occupancy of the house is 10 adults. An under-counter wine/beverage cooler with complimentary water bottles has been installed for your use. The Keurig is hard plumbed. No need to add water! Just drop in your pod and go. A French press and Turkish coffee pot are available, as well as a full pot coffee brewer. We have starter pods and coffee filters onsite. Wine glasses and coffee mugs are located at the coffee bar. brbrThe kitchen is stocked for your cooking/eating needs. Just bring your ingredients, which can be purchased at the nearby Publix grocery store 2 miles down the road. The microwave is located in the pantry. Small appliances include a KitchenAid mixer, toaster and blender. In addition to the refrigerator ice maker, the pantry has an under-counter ice maker for days you might want to fill up a cooler. brA high capacity washer and dryer are available for your use. There is detergent and softener sheets available.brbrUpstairs, challenge your friends/family to a game of ping pong, watch a movie on the large sectional, or enjoy reading a book and gazing at the lake from the window bench seat. There is a small round game table, if that is your thing. For additional sleeping, there is also a twin day bed with a twin trundle upstairs with linens available. There is a large, well-stocked kitchen that is open to the dining area and living area.brbrHouse is located on a peninsula with 270 degree water views. There are decks with views of the water on both the front and back sides of the house. We like to enjoy our morning coffee in the shade on the front porch and have dinner in the shade on a large outdoor table on the back porch. brbrTwo kayaks, one canoe, a paddle board, a private dock, a neighborhood boat ramp, and various outdoor games are available for use by guests. brbrThe cove where the house and dock are located is very quiet. One of our favorite morning and evening activities is to paddle back into two adjoining undeveloped coves that are teaming with wildlife. There is a county park on the opposite side of the cove on the front side of the house, which has a playground, hiking trails and mountain bike trails.brbrIf you are looking for a quiet vacation spot, this is a great house for you. If you are looking for a place to party into the wee hours of the night, this is not a good choice. The neighbors are generally quiet and go to sleep early. Because sound travels far on a quiet cove, the neighbors will complain if there is a lot of noise or cars coming in and out late at night. Furthermore, the house has original artwork, upholstered furniture, and rugs that are easy to damage if you have a wild party.brbrBecause the house is in a rural location and is frequently vacant, there are two outdoor security cameras that point away from the house. There is a Ring doorbell, which is pointed toward the road and there is a security camera on the south corner of the house pointed toward the driveway.

Our plan is to spend our golden years in this home so please take good care of it! Publix is also only 10 minutes away! Kitchen includes combo coffeemaker / Keurig, microwave, blender, toaster, stove / oven with convection, toaster oven, AirFryer, food processor, dishwasher, place settings for 12, basic kitchen tools, full set of cookware, various bakeware, mixing / serving bowls, basic spices, etc. For health safety reasons, we do not leave or allow to be left any refrigerated items including basic condiments. brbrThe upstairs includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms:br • .
