Our comfortable, renovated 1000 sq. ft., 2 story traditional mountain cabin provides a restful and unique setting in which to enjoy your mountain vacation and renew your spirit. The house is located on the perimeter of Yellow Branch Farm, a former dairy farm and creamery and home to the now closed Yellow Branch Pottery. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm and garden. The location is very quiet with an occasional car, farm vehicle, or pedestrian passing by the house on Yellow Branch Road. Also, adjacent to the entrance is Silverbell Studio, a pottery studio that established by Sharla and Tamar, who purchased Yellow Branch Pottery in 2022.brbrThe spacious downstairs of this cabin includes a great room with vaulted ceiling, an open, well-stocked, compact galley kitchen and dining area.brbr Also downstairs is a bedroom with double bed, a sitting room with DVD player and hundreds of movies and Roku Smart TV. The full bathroom with tub/shower is also located on the main level. brbrThe upper floor is an open loft with queen bed and NEWLY ADDED, 1/2 bath. No more going downstairs in the middle of the night!brbrCell service is not available on the property and there is a land line available for local and long distance calls at no charge. WiFi is available. brbrThe pastoral and quiet setting includes a spacious deck, covered porch, firepit and a Weber charcoal grill. A starter amount of charcoal and firewood is provided. Also provided is a Level 2 EV charger. Tesla owners will need to bring an adapter. Please let us know if you will be using the charger. It is set up as needed.brbrFor an early morning stroll, there are of wonderful places to walk in the neighborhood. Also, close by are Cable Cove boat ramp, Fontana Village and Marina, Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center, the Appalachian Trail, Tsali Recreation Area, Nantahala Gorge for white water rafting, Joyce Kilmer Forest, Cherokee, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, to name a few attractions. Robbinsville is 15 miles away and Bryson City, 25 miles. brbrWe didn't rent in 2023 after Bruce fell from a ladder while helping a neighbor in January. The year long hiatus and then, the subsequent aftermath from Hurricane Helene affected our premier host listing. We are grateful for the support and out reach from our community. Charcoal and other lighting options are not provided but can be purchased at the local Ingles. Relax in our screened in porch equipped with a ceiling fan and patio furniture. Washer and dryer are available in the ground floor en suite that has a private, separate entrance from the main level. This means you are NOT able to access this space from the main level.brbrYes pets are allowed with written permission. Please be sure to inquire. There is an associated pet fee. Videos of the drive can be viewed by searching for Azure Heights drive up from main road on the world's largest video platform.br-In the winter months, if snow or ice is present, parking further down & walking up may be required, ask about this before booking. br-We allow up to 4 vehicles on the property (2 motorcycles count as 1 vehicle). Trailers are not permitted on the property.br-We have regular pest control treatments and do everything we can to mitigate critters. However, this is an older cottage home and surrounded by forest. It is impossible to prevent all bugs from entering the home. Cabin owners in the Smoky Mountains in the fall and winter months deal especially with ladybugs & stinkbugs trying to enter the house to overwinter. We provide a hand vacuum to easily remove the few that get past all our preventative measures.

This cabin is less than 15 minutes away from the Trail of the Dragon, Fontana Lake, Tsali Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail and much more. There is paved parking for two cars.brThe downstairs bedroom is a king. There are two more spacious bedrooms upstairs. One room has a queen bed. The other room has a queen bed and a full bed. There is two full size bathrooms, one on each floor of the cabin. brbrInside this three bedroom cabin is hardwood floors, exposed wood walls and ceiling. There is screened doors to allow a fresh breeze to trickle in as you savor meals in the well equipped kitchen. The kitchen hosts a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and crockpot capable of handling any necessary culinary needs. Fire up the outdoor grill to prepare the main entrée for a barbecue feast. brbrAs evening rolls around, unwind on the cabin themed sofa and watch a movie on the smart flat-screen TV. You could enjoy your favorite cocktails on the screened in porch and have the kids roast s'mores in the firepit.brCabin is located in a little development called Carolina Vistas. There are neighbors but the cabin is still relatively private. Please be kind and keep any noise and music to a minimum after the sun sets. We recommend when you visit the first time you arrive within daylight hours. Some parts of this area does not have cell service. We do not have cell service at the cabin but you can use WiFi calling since we have Starlink. We also have smart TV's. The road to the cabin is packed gravel and paved. The road can be timid to some but is accessible with 2 wheel drive vehicles (unless it snows). We are in the mountains so please keep an eye out for wildlife and please do not leave food outside. brbrPlease no trailers because the road is narrow in a few spots and there is no turnaround.brbrWe have been coming to this area over 20 years. Please let us know if you have any questions prior to booking the cabin. We do not like surprises when we travel and we know you do not either. brbrFor your safety, we have one camera on the property. It is a ring camera on the front door. The camera is to the right of the door and is only facing outward towards the driveway. Once you arrive I turn off the camera.brbrWe hope you enjoy this home away from home as much as we do.
