The other Airstreams are nearby but provide a decent amount of privacy. You will love hanging out around the fire pit at night under the cafe lights or taking a walk down by the river to watch a sunset and do a little stargazing. No one can see in, but you could have a little morning or moon light through those windows. brbrSAFETY - The Creekside Fern Airstream is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, a fire extinguisher, and emergency exits. No detail was forgotten during the renovation of this Airstream and no corners were cut. It was even certified with the Pacific West Tiny Home certification program.

Just a few more minutes down the road is Hendersonville and its quaint downtown. Woeppel Landing’s aviation & travel decor is in homage to three generations of pilots in our family. brbrBREVARD:brSuper cute little town. Easy enough to park right downtown and walk to all the sights. With kids In tow, you can’t pass up the three story OP Taylor Toy store and then hit up Rocky’s local soda shop. For unique shopping, make sure to check out Mantiques and DDBullwinkles outdoor store. While the kids are still on a sugar high, head into Pisgah Forest and check out all our beautiful waterfalls. brLooking Glass falls is a short drive into the forest and has parking with a tiny walk down to the falls. For a full days adventure, rent a tube at the entrance of the forest and lazy River tube down the river or spend the day at Sliding Rock. If the weather is dreary, you can check out the Fish Hatchery at John’s Rock or the Cradle of Forestry for kids entertainment in Pisgah. On a pretty day, the 25 minute drive up 276 from Brevard to the Blue Ridge is worth the spectacular view. If it’s supper time on the parkway, The Pisgah Inn has a stellar and fancy menu.br*Jordan’s has a lovely brunch br*Morning Social is your best breakfast in town.br*Jet’s & Pizza Hut deliverbrbrbrDUPONT/FLAT ROCK:brDuPont Forest is a must. It’s a 15 minute drive to Park at the High Falls access parking lot (with visitor center and bathrooms) and take the three-mile hike to three stunning waterfalls. You can spend an entire day hiking in DuPont but if you’ve got time to spare, head out to Sky Top Orchard. Pick some apples, swing by their petting zoo and don’t forget to snag a hot apple-cider donut! If you would rather a little beauty and serenity, The Carl Sandburg Home is lovely and also has goats for the kiddos.brbrbrHENDERSONVILLE:brA 25 minute drive East takes you to the charming town of Hendersonville. Hit up the Elijah Craig Gem mine (on 64) for the kids and then make your way downtown. Parking at either end of the Main Street will give you access to all the quaint shops and restaurants. Since the pandemic, Sierra Nevada has been reservation-only so please be sure to call ahead.brMills River Brewery has a beautiful outdoor/dog-friendly seating area and a food truck always on site. *brMRB, Bold Rock Cidery and Burning Blush Brewery can all be found within a one-mile radius.brbrbrSALUDA: brIf you are into kayaking, river tubing or zip-lining, a 25 minute drives brings you to the Green River/Saluda area. Welcome to the “Barn House”, a 1900’s barn renovated into an open floor plan house with 3 bedrooms and baths and an additional sleeping room with a double bed. There are two master bedroom suites with queen beds and separate bath(s) and closet(s), and a third room with two twin beds and separate bathroom. The large, modern kitchen is open to a dining area and a fabulous living room with high ceilings, wood floors, gas-burning log fireplace and extraordinary year-round long range views of the Smokey Mountains, WiFi, flat screen TV and a land line with free local and long-distance calls. There is access from the kitchen/living area to a large deck with dining table and chairs, gas grill, and more of the breathtaking, great panoramic views. There is a fire pit outside overlooking the mountain view.brbrThe Barnhouse is located about 3 miles to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest and 7 miles to DuPont State Park, an easy pedal for cycling enthusiasts. There is also a renovated corn crib in which to store your bikes at night. Located less than 5 minutes from downtown Brevard, one feels like in a remote area in the mountains, yet you are close to all that Brevard has to offer (with no worries driving back late at night), from shopping, restaurants and bars, to world class music festivals and white squirrels galore. The Barnhouse is a 20 minute drive from the Asheville Airport and 40 minutes to Ashville and is close to Flat Rock and Hendersonville. There is a small, fenced in pasture for those who need a place for their horse and several large stables within a mile of the barn.
