White Squirrel Lodge - Family friendly, pond & stream, breezy porches & wildlife

Just beautiful got to enjoy the white squirrels and family of deer, roasted marshmallows by the fire 2nd night. Great location 10mins to town and bigger and more well stocked than I thought would definitely book here again

The cabin needed a deep clean. Thick dust and cobwebs and dirty floors. Also there was an uncomfortable amount of dead/dying cave crickets on the bottom floor. They were even in the shower and in the washing machine.The bedroom situation could be challenging for some guests. Both double beds are only accessible via narrow curly stairs. The main level has a bedroom, but it only has a single bed.With the unanimous 10/10 positive reviews I was really expecting a better experience.

The VRBO photos were just as described and moreCheck in was easy fully stocked in all rooms and wildlife each day truly enjoyable

Great stay! House was everything we needed and more! Immediately greeted by 7 deer upon our arrival! Saw so many white squirrels around Brevard! We are already planning our return visit with family to show them our new favorite spot.

Very nice property, a little niche in the woods with lots of wildlife around.The hosts provided a lot of little extras around the house that were very useful.Perfect for a weekend getaway for the family.

This cabin was awesome! So cute, creatively decorated, stocked with all the basic comforts of home (more than any other place we've stayed). Wildlife from every window (deer, all kinds of birds, white & brown squirrels), huge front porch, private - in a neighborhood but other than hearing the cars on the gravel road, you'd never know you had neighbors. Just short of 1 hour to Asheville, but 'town' is only 10ish min away. ****there is wi-fi in the house, but no cell otherwise (until back in town). Take a pic of your entry code before you get there!!!!!Absolutely wonderful place to stay!

Wonderful spot! You can tell the owners really care about this place and I suspect they spend time here. Great location with tons of stuff to do nearby. Well appointed with household stuff that you might need. My family really enjoyed our time here and would come back.

House was in a great location to all of the things we wanted to do on our trip - horseback riding, hiking, tubing and fishing. Also close to downtown. The home was clean, cozy and has a well stocked kitchen. The porch was a great place to hang out. We saw lots of deer and white squirrels. Would definitely recommend! :)

The property was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Seeing the deer, squirrels and birds were quite a treat. Would definitely recommend this location and hope to return again in the future.

This place blew us away! Honestly it was better than the photos! As soon as we got there we were greeted with multiple white squirrels outside! We also saw chipmunks, grey squirrels and deer (with 2 babies)!!! It was so nice and quite and close to so many amazing trails and right near downtown Brevard. This was really even better than expected!!! Thank you so much for such an UNBELIEVABLE first experience in NC. We already look forward to our next visit!

The White Squirrel Lodge is such a blessing. It is cozy, clean, and a refreshing place to stay. We have been blessed to stay there three years in a row.

We enjoyed our stay at White Squirrel Lodge. House was clean and stocked with everything you need. Spent most of our time out on the deck watching the birds, white & gray squirrels and the deer. Spent some time in Brevard checking out the shops and walking around it's a cute little town. Would definitely would come back to stay again.

Our family of six was in town so that some of our kids could see mountains for the first time. The house was welcoming and fully stocked and we loved watching the squirrels and deer from the porch. We spent our days hiking and swimming in the forest and, the area had all we needed to make our stay absolutely delightful. Would love to stay Again, and thankfully, the weather was perfect! I think the best part was the kitchen – if you love to cook this is the best kitchen away from home I've experienced so far!

We were very happy with our stay at the White Squirrel Lodge. From the comfy sofas, the well-stocked kitchen, and the big porch to watching the deer and squirrels, all of our needs were met and exceeded. We were close to our favorite hikes and Brevard was just a short drive away. We definitely plan to return in the future!

If you enjoy watching wildlife, love peaceful porch sitting and a comfy, relaxing, clean, and welcoming home, this property is for you. Everything about this cabin is amazing. The furniture in the living room is so comfortable and the entire home is well stocked with everything that you will need. The porch is so nice to sit on. We saw raccoon, plenty of white squirrels, so many deer and a black bear. All front the comfort of the porch. We will definitely be back.

This house in the woods was so amazing. We sat out on the wonderful covered porch almost the entire day when we weren’t at the music festival. The white squirrels were so much fun to watch,as were the deer. I have never been in a rental house that included so much—-kitchen spices, Saran Wrap, etc.. And the laundry had soap and spot spray and anything you could think of. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and the decor was interesting and fun! My husband and I are in our upper 80’s and worried about the spiral staircase, but we held on and had no problem. It was extremely sturdy. We didn’t use the fire pit cause we worried about the dry weather, but I’m sure it would be fun. This house wasn’t just a house, it was an experience.

Enjoyed watching the white squirrels and deer. Clean lodge with well stocked kitchen with comfortable furniture.

Nice place in a quiet location. Just a few minutes into Brevard or Pisgah.

Wonderful home, close to all activities, plenty of room in the home.
