The Bunkhouse Cabin at Black Bear Holler Cabins is a cozy simple rustic one-bedroom/one-bath cabin that is located adjacent to the main cabin and is amazingly comfortable. brbrThe cabin can accommodate up to 4 adults with an Amish Queen bed and a full-size futon, both have soft luxurious sheets. brbrThe kitchenette has a microwave, mini-refrigerator, toaster, Keurig coffee maker with paper plates/plastic utensils and condiments for coffee/tea. There is a Blackstone grill on the deck of the Bunkhouse and there is a Firepit/Grill behind the main cabin and grill utensils are provided. No other cookware provided.brbrThe full bathroom has a tub and shower with luxurious towels. brbrThere is a small rear deck with two rocker chairs. brYou can relax in wooden rockers around the firepit with limited complimentary firewood provided.brbrThe hydro-spa hot tub has been winterized and will not be available till the Spring/Summer brbrThe Bunkhouse is the perfect combination of Glamping crossed with a rustic cabin and a hotel stay. brbrWe fell in love with Murphy and believe you will too. We are less than an hour from the Nantahala National Forest which locals call the rainforest of North Carolina that provides awesome rafting, hiking, and waterfalls. brbrWe are also approximately an hour from the Tail of the Dragon and Maggie Valley. You will experience some of the best motorcycle riding anywhere in this country here in Southwest North Carolina and minutes from Georgia & Tennessee's beautiful scenic roadways. brbrThere are some great wineries, breweries & boutique shopping within or less than an hour or two away. We are within two hours of Asheville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, or Atlanta and their respective airports.brbrPerfect location to get away from the fast paced city life. Perfect place to disconnect from the world. This area is known for its nature and not its technology.brbrNO PETS FROM NOVEMBER THRU APRIL. We are very pet friendly as we have four dogs of our own but have a strict pet policy. brA crate is required at check-in for all unattended pets (dogs only) and absolutely no pee-pads with a refundable pet security deposit. If your dog is found unattended in the cabin when we restock supplies or refresh the cabin, the pet security deposit is forfeited. brNOT AVAILABLE FROM NOVEMBER THRU APRIL. brWe also offer pet sitting for $5 per dog per hour. We do not have breed or quantity restrictions. Please do not try and sneak a pet(s) in as we greet everyone checking in no matter the time, plus we have a security camera facing the driveway and entrance to the rental cabin. We are truly dog lovers but we are sorry that prior guests have made the requirement for the rules we have in place.brCats absolutely are NOT allowed under any circumstances as the owner of the property is handicapped and extremely allergic to cats. Because the cabin is located in a dead-end road, there will be no movement of vehicles, which makes it even quieter.brThis cabin has two rooms, a living room with a fireplace, and a kitchen. All of them facing the river. brbrThe cabin has a beautiful porch where you can relax with the sounds of the river, or you can sit by the wood firepit and enjoy some marshmallow.brbrFor those who like a more active vacation, there is canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, boating, horseback riding, hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and ATV trails, all within a few minutes drive. brbrFor the trout fisherman, the Nottley River has a special interest. It is not stocked, but supports quite a population of wild rainbow trout, which is unique to our area. The spawn is in April. Access to the river is limited and there is little to no pressure of over fishing.
