The main floor is spacious with a full kitchen with a large island, two meal tables for large crowds, a massive living room with a TV and fireplace and the main king bedroom with full bath. Step out on the large deck and you will find a hot tub for soaking on those cool/cold nights and a brand new gas grill. In the upstairs open area, there is a queen bedroom and also a bedroom with two twin beds. There is a full bath located between these rooms. The lower floor is for pure enjoyment with a ping-pong table, 85 TV, two arcade machines, and a large sitting/play area. Read more below.brbrThe architecture of this house is truly unique, with curved walls and high, vaulted ceilings. Walls of windows welcome in lots of natural light, and envelop you in the natural beauty of the trees and mountains. The open floor plan includes a bright and clean full kitchen, a living space with smart television and fireplace, two bedrooms, one full bath, and one half bath. Outside, the wraparound porch is the ideal place for a morning coffee or evening beverage, and has a gas grill for cooking if you choose to do so. The home features a washer and dryer as well as an air-conditioning and heating system for year round comfort. Access to this unique home is via a set of stairs that lead to the front porch and door, which should be considered for those presenting with physical limitations. A security camera is set up to monitor the driveway to the entrance.br brThe cabin resides within the 5,000 acres of land that comprise Wolf Laurel Resort. As part of your stay, you will also receive access to the Village Club. Benefits include a heated seasonal outdoor pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, trout pond, children’s playground, yoga classes and more.brbrMiles of trails surround the home, with private access to the Appalachian Trail and Big Bald, which is the highest local summit at 5,516 feet, and where you’ll experience arguably the best 360° views around. The area is also rich with additional outdoor activities including skiing, swimming, horseback riding, zip lining, and rafting.brbrYou will enjoy access to the entire home during your stay. For your convenience, the house is set up for contactless self check-in with keyless entry. A unique code will be generated for the length of your stay that will unlock the main door. Entry point to Wolf Laurel Resort is gated with a staffed attendant. Booked guests will check in with the attendant for access.brbrThe primary roads in Wolf Laurel are paved, but the secondary roads are gravel. All roads are well maintained by the full time staff but remember these are mountain roads and mountain driving conditions. You will will need to take your time and navigate slowly. Most cars of all sizes can easily drive the roads in the no-winter months, but sports cars that have especially low clearance are not recommended. Also, motorcycles are not allowed in the community so please plan accordingly.brbrWinter:brWe are thrilled to welcome guest year round but please be advised: br4WD/AWD is highly recommended during winter months. If you are not comfortable with possible winter driving conditions, travel insurance my be worth looking into. There are winter days in Wolf Laurel when I am comfortable driving a Honda Civic around, and there are days when the only thing I would want to be driving is a plow truck. Most days fall somewhere in-between. brbrIn my opinion, winter in the mountains is best when not rushed so I recommend planning to arrive with plenty of food and supply's so that when the snow does start to fall you get to cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy your winter getaway!brbrThough the WIFI is strong, Wolf Laurel Resort has spotty cell service throughout the community. WIFI calling is available in the home and you may have regular cell service on the property but it is not guaranteed.

The great room with a stone fireplace is separated from the fully equipped kitchen by a roomy 8-person dining table. The upstairs loft with games and books, and the basement area with ping-pong and foosball tables provide separate lounging areas for the whole family. brbrYou can relax on the front porch, or grill out on the back porch. The spacious yard has a beautiful custom-built stone firepit for hanging out, cooking s'mores, and enjoying the stars. Cornhole boards are provided for more outside fun.brbrAll linens and towels are provided. The laundry area is available for your use during your stay. A highchair and Pack 'n Play are provided for the little ones. brbrOur cabin is pet friendly, without a pet fee. Dog crates are provided for your dogs. We hope you decide to vacation with us!brbrThere are three bedrooms. The master bedroom is upstairs, with a king bed and its own private bathroom which has a shower and tub. The living room has a 50-inch flat screen TV set up for streaming services (complementary Netflix is included along with Roku channels). Bring your old DVD's to enjoy family movie night, or make use of the DVD library below the TV. brbrWe have fast fiber internet and there is wifi available from all levels of the cabin. brThe kids love the basement recreation room with comfy sofa and love seat, 40-inch Roku TV, electronic keyboard, gas fireplace, ping pong table, foosball table, hula hoops, balls, a kite and 2 sleds. During the winter months, snow and ice can make the roads even more hazardous.brbrAll roads are well maintained by the full time staff but remember these are mountain roads and mountain driving conditions.brbrMost cars of all sizes can easily drive the roads in the spring and summer, but we strongly advise 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles in the winter. If you do not have a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, you may not be able to access the property. brbrWeather in the mountains can change quickly. In the event of a severe winter storm, we may need to cancel your reservation for your safety.
