This spacious luxury log cabin home has 3 BR, 2.5 baths, plus loft. Located between Boone and Blowing Rock just 1.7 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The main living area is showcased by a wall of windows and exposed beams accented by a corner stone fireplace with gas logs. Flat screen TV, hardwood floors, comfortable furnishings with plenty of seating. Amenities include AC, cable, broadband internet, smart TV, fully equipped galley kitchen with both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, a water filter, blender, baking pans, muffin tins, mixer, and anything else needed to prepare your meals and desserts and a dining room table that seats 8. For the kids, the Tweetsie Railroad amusement park is a short 10 minute drive, and a large playground in the heart of Blowing Rock is another short drive.

The orientation is to the south so there is lots of sunlight during the winter months. All bathrooms were recently renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped with lots of cabinet and counter space. All three bedrooms are large with King beds. The primary bedroom on the main level has expansive views of the lakes and an ensuite bath with double sink vanity and walk-in shower. The second bedroom on the main level is adjacent to the full hall bathroom with a pocket door that can be closed to make a private suite. The upstairs bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower. An additional finished room upstairs has a full-size bed and a child bed, making an ideal space for children to play and sleep.brbrGuests can enjoy the spacious deck overlooking the lakes, golf course, and surrounding mountains with a comfortable dining area and seating for 6, as well as a gas grill.. Here you'll find a King bed, smart TV, door to the deck, the other side of the two-way fireplace in the living room, and a private spa-like bathroom with granite vanity, soaking tub, and separate tiled shower with wand head. brbrDown another hall off the living room you'll find a second bedroom with a Queen bed and TV, as well as a full bathroom off the hall with a tub/shower combination. At the end of the hall is a large laundry room with front-loading machines. brbrUpstairs is a great hangout room for the young and young at heart! You'll find a sectional sofa, foosball table, big TV with raspberry Pi filled with classic arcade & console video games, and a huge selection of books & board games. Around the corner are two sets of bunk beds - one twin/twin and the other twin/full, each with a trundle underneath. There's also a third full bathroom up here with a shower. brbrStep outside onto the covered wraparound porch and let the cool mountain breezes refresh you. You have near-total privacy up here on over 7.5 acres! Grill up a feast on the gas grill to enjoy on the picnic table, relax in the porch swing and take in the long range views, go to the fenceline along the driveway and pet the neighbor's horse in the pasture below the house (please don't feed the horse, though!), roast marshmallows at the firepit, play life-size outdoor chess and checkers, and have fun exploring the land. If your four-legged family members come along, be sure to bring their PetSafe invisible fence collars as this home offers a PetSafe area! brbr- The access road and driveway is gravel but it is one lane with some steep sections. It is navigable in fair weather with a regular car. There is also a starter set of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
