The house was perfectly clean in every detail, towels and linens too. It was 90F+ in Illinois, but this cottage right by Lake Michigan was comfortable even without AC (I like the old school vibe). There were enough fans as needed, and the house is tucked in a nice dune valley among the trees so it doesn't get pounded by sunlight to make it hot. The kitchen was fantastic, plenty of room to hang out and play games, back porch to come in from the beach, wash off, and ditch your beach stuff. Just a very short walk to the fantastic Grand Haven beach, and a short drive, or bike ride to town. Communication from the management was always quick and accurate. Linens include beach towels to lessen your packing needs, also lots of board games. brbrThe train track is right next to us. It comes through twice at night. Trains don't run during the day. There is always a jar of pennies at the house so the kids can place a penny on the tracks and look for it the next morning. brbrThe charming downtown of Grand Haven is a short, walkable 5 blocks away. Shopping, great restaurants, bars and activities for kids and adults. Chinook Pier is 4-5 where you can find the marina or take the boardwalk out to the lighthouse and beach. The 206 is in the best location, farmers market across the street and easy walk to shops and restaurants, musical fountain, and boardwalk to the beach and pier. Tons of beach chairs and bikes for summer. Grand Haven has so much to offer year round with skiing at Mulligans Hollow, game nights with drinks at Odd Sides, GH Winter Fest, and so many more events and the 206 is the best rental to experience it all.brJamie B.brbrFantastic!!
