Haven Retreat - 4BR, 3BA - 1 Block to Waterfront, Shopping & Dining

This is a beautiful home and our kids really enjoyed their stay. The location is so close to town and restaurants you can walk everywhere. The hosts were very prompt in replying to our questions. We would definitely stay here again!!

What an incredible property in the heart of Grand Haven! Stayed for 3 nights for a girls weekend and had such an amazing time! The check in was seamless, the house was so clean and comfortable, just one block from town and a short walk to the water and just a little bit longer to the beach and lighthouse. This combination made the stay absolute perfection. Can't wait to come back!!

Great house in a perfect location. Built in the 1800s (so creaky wooden floors and bathrooms are separate from the bedrooms) but updated and very charming. Steps away from everything the cute town of Grand Haven has to offer, Don’t miss the GH Musical Fountain! We didn’t know it happened every night and missed several nights. Just an FYI but this rental was different from the MANY rentals I’ve booked in 3 ways: 1. you have to make your own beds (as other guests have stated) 2. You need to buy your own toilet paper after it runs out (we left a lot for the next guests :) 3. no shampoo, conditioner or body wash provided Other than that, the hosts are very responsive and it’s a great space!

Amazing house in an amazing location in an amazing city. House had everything needed for our group of 9 that ranged in ages from 2 months to 82 years old. House was spacious, beds were comfortable, getting into the house was easy, and there was ample space in the driveway for our cars, strollers, bikes, etc. We hope to stay again next summer!

This house more than met our needs for a family vacation by the shore. We wanted a few days away with 3 of our kids (ages 7, 9,11) and booked on kind of whim, but this spot was great! The house had everything we needed to cook meals instead of eating out with littles, it was plenty of space for all of us (more than we needed), and the location was really great. We grilled and played board games and enjoyed the town. We walked to the social district and the fountain show; the beach was close; the kids tried all the ice cream spots. No complaints at all. Everyone wants to go back, so you may see us there again!

We had a great weekend! The house was perfect for us and so much to do. We visited downtown Grand Haven, the lighthouse in the State Park, farmers market, Holland's Tulip Time, Grand Rapids Botanical Gardens.

The location couldn't be better! Just a 2 minute walk to downtown with lots to see and do! About a 20 minute walk to the beach. Our stay was amazing! The house was extremely cleaned! We loved how everything was labeled in the kitchen as well. We 100% recommend!

Great house and within walking distance to so many places. Loved the space in the house. Didn't do much outside on the deck because of the weather and our limited stay. Hosts were quick with questions. Would stay here again.

Our 3rd time staying here. Location is fabulous. We did notice a different mattress in upstairs bedroom that wasn’t as comfortable compared to prior visits. Very well stocked with dishes, towels and games. No kleenex tho - minor point. House is very clean. We plan to return for another girls trip!

Great location for girls weekend trip to GH! This house is right downtown and walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed being able to stay parked and walk to pier and beach. The house was nicely decorated and the beds and linens were comfortable and high quality. The kitchen comes furnished with anything you may need and the home also has a washer dryer. It was clean, had plenty of seating, plus big TVs and included fun board games. The host was easy to communicate with and booking went smooth. Definitely would stay here again! Thx!

The house was great; plenty of space and bathrooms for all of us to get ready for a wedding. I wish we could have stayed a little longer to take advantage of the location. However, a few things I would change: the iron and ironing board aren’t the greatest. There is a crack in the iron so I couldn’t use the steamer😔, the beds weren’t very comfortable, but that is just a personal preference and not an easy fix, I would, however fix the musty smell when you first walk in the house. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this house to others. Thank you so much for stay!

There were 8 adults that stayed at the house. We all loved it. There was plenty of room for all of us to gather in the kitchen, around the large dining table and in the living room. It was nice having 3 bathrooms to get ready for the wedding. And the host very graciously came out to let us in when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house.

Third time staying, each time better than before! House is sooo comfortable, lots of room to gather for dining, playing games, or just hanging out. Love the spacious kitchen too. Great location, just a couple blocks to town and river, and a modest walk to the pier. Kids are excited to get back to The Big Yellow House next year! Host has been very responsive, thank you!

One of the best locations in Grand Haven. Walk to dining and fun! Had some minor issues that were not resolved during our stay. Unfortunately the owners did not respond. Would still recommend!!

Clean. Upstairs bunk needs dresser. Need ceilinng fan in upstairs bunk room no ventilation. All TV need some info not easy to find local channels.

This is our first stay at this home and we were very happy w the accommodations. Very clean and maintained. Large home w 3 bathrooms-all private! The location is excellent for downtown gh and the water front. No need to drive at all. The host were easy to work with and responded quickly to emails. Planning to stay again next season. We have a small family of five but many more could have slept here!
