The ski access couldn't be any better sitting directly on Hilda’s Hideaway run. Ski any run left from Hilda’s hideaway to Alpine lift, ski any run right from Hilda’s Hideaway to Disciples D8 lift which also runs at night. Direct access to D8 lift is important as Alpine Lift isn’t always running. In the spring summer and fall, the Hilda’s Hideaway ski run is a paved road that is a part of Boyne Mountain Resort’s 7 miles of paved golf cart, biking and walking paths. The mountain bike bath is a few feet away. A short walk up the hill past 4 homes takes you to where the new D8 lift drops off, the new 1200ft SkyBridge, a food truck, restrooms, and Alpine Golf Course’s 1st tee. A short walk across the bridge, or a short walk around to the other peak takes you to the disk golf course hole 1st tee, the Eagle’s Nest mountain top restaurant. The Hemlock lift typically runs year round down to the main village giving access to restaurants, bars, a game room and other activities like zip lines.brParking and access:brThe garage and mostly flat paved driveway has plenty of parking as it is the deepest lot in Edelweiss. Additional parking that can accommodate RVs and trailers is by the tennis courts. While the roads are well maintained. There is a fairly steep incline at the bottom of Cabin Drive so an ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in the winter months. The Boyne Shuttle Bus does service this location.brGarage:brEnter through either the small door or large garage door into an insulated garage. To charge your EV you can plug in with no fee using either the Emporia 48 amp J1772 charger, or L14-50 50AMP outlet. A full sized gas grill and spare tank are located in the garage as well as an air compressor and other items you might need in a pinch. It features a boot dryer and large upper fan to dry out your outfits quicker. brFrom the ski room it's only two steps outside into the 6 person hot tub after a long day. If you don’t want to sit in the hot tub, you can still be a part of the conversation sitting on the historic Disciples II #78 Chair Lift, now bench seat, that spun at Boyne Mountain until April 2022.brWe have a large concrete outdoor fire pit area with 8 chairs to enjoy year around. If only that fire pit could talk!brWe have put a lot of effort into improving your comfort here. Both the temperature and the humidity are controlled individually on each floor and there is a dehumidifier in the ski locker room. The furnace fan is set to filter the air throughout the hour. The upstairs gas fireplace has a remote that has a thermostat function as well. There is an automatic generator that kicks on if the power is out and with alternate heat sources, not even a broken down furnace can ruin your vacation here.brThe home owner formerly owned an ISP and phone company. They have put a lot of effort in ensuring the best possible experience. The cable Internet system typically delivers 375 down. Look out your window and see Lake Charlevoix and the Harborage Marina, which are right across the street. brbrThis is the CARRIAGE HOUSE that sits on the same property as 415 Front Street (the main house is not currently available to rent). The builds were completed in November 2022. This Carriage House sits above the garage & is a full house in itself. The decor is all modern farmhouse. All new furniture, mattresses, beds, bedding, towels, appliances, you name it! brbrThe carriage house has 3 bedrooms. One king on the main floor, and two queen bedrooms upstairs. Each has a closet with hangers, hooks, a mirror, and a bench for your suitcase. All the mattresses are brand new Zinus, with microfiber bedding and new pillows. There are two full bathrooms. One large full upstairs with shower, and a smaller bathroom with shower on the main level. brbrThe house has a fully equipped kitchen with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, blender, toaster, griddle, coffee maker, & more.... We also have a dining table, TV/electric fireplace wall, and a stackable washer and dryer/LG washtower. Comfy sectional seating in the main family room, where you can cozy up to watch a movie (streaming available to sign in to + Spectrum app with local channels). We have wifi as well, & a desk area upstairs. There is a balcony to look out over the water, and a folding table/chairs for that (located in front hall closet). This house has a separate entrance on to Elm Street. The location is hard to beat. Just a few short blocks and you are in the middle of downtown Boyne City. Enjoy all the shops, restaurants, and fun events Boyne City has to offer, all within walking distance. Boyne City is a short drive to Petoskey (20 min), & Charlevoix (30 min). Boyne mountain is about 7 miles away, & Walloon Lake 10 minutes away. The public beach - offering swimming, sandy beach, volleyball, tables & grills, and restrooms - is right across the street. We have Tommy Bahama backpack beach chairs & a wagon with miscellaneous sporting goods available for your use. We also have a little reading library in our reading nook at the top of the stairs, with a few baskets of books you can borrow. One more for teen/adult and one for kids.brbrHiking and mountain biking available a mile away at Avalanche Mountain. The view from the top is breathtaking!! Our home has panoramic views from a large deck overlooking Lake Charlevoix and a charming covered porch with lots of comfortable seating. The large rooftop deck is just steps out the front door, with plenty of seating, and a tiki bar and palm tree! The view from the house, porch, and deck are unbelievable! You can tie your boat to the mooring ball at the end of the dock or bring or rent kayaks to explore the lake. There are nearby boat rentals with paddleboards, kayaks, jet skis, pontoon and ski boats. It is a five minute drive or bike ride to downtown Boyne City, a premier Main Street Community, where you can enjoy the many small town festivities, concerts, farmers market, restaurants, or Stroll the Streets on Friday nights. Drive 6 miles to Boyne Mountain resort and spa, with world class golf, water park, and skiing, or just 45 minutes to catch the ferry to Mackinaw Island for the day, or check out the historic and quaint Ironton Ferry, just 7 miles down the lake and a shortcut to the beautiful town of Charlevoix! This family cottage is complete with all the comforts and conveniences you will need, a well-stocked kitchen with everything required for cooking and dining as well as a gas grill and patio tables for barbecuing. There are 2 large bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other has a queen bed and a twin bed with a private half bath. There is a full bath between the 2 bedrooms with a large walk-in shower and lots of vanity space and storage. The living room has plenty of seating with amazing views of the lake, the dining table seats 6, and there is a sun/family room with an extra table and seating area, and a queen size sofa bed. The kitchen, dining room and sun room also have unbelievable views of Lake Charlevoix. There is a washer and drier and we provide plenty of linens and towels, and paper products to start you out. If you rent for ski season, keep your car warm and dry in our attached 2 car garage, with lots of room for skis, boots, and equipment. We are only 15 minutes from Boyne Mountain, and minutes away from several cross country ski trails. All you need are your clothes and food for a week of relaxation and fun, or a season of skiing!
