We store things in there and the garage is not available for parking, but we try to keep it so you can hang out with the doors open and use it as a covered patio or workspace. The bedroom is large and has a king bed w/2 end tables. There's also a dresser for your items. One closet is ours that we keep locked and the other can be used, but is mainly for storage. The kitchen has everything you'd expect, and the counter overhang serves as the dining area. The living room has a good sized couch and chair for lounging. The outdoor patio is a great place for coffee/hanging out/having a drink. This is our favorite place in the world. We sincerely hope you enjoy it and if you have any feedback for future guests we'd love to hear it. We also give discounts for repeat guests and would love to have this be a place you come back to regularly! We have made other interior updates not shown in the photos, but it will be better than what you see in pictures. We are in the planning and permitting process to add a gas fire pit and back deck with a hot tub. We HIGHLY recommend 4WD vehicle and other than the great walks you can take, you'll need a vehicle to get around. Gas station, grocery, and restaurants are all within 5-10 min. You can park anywhere on the driveway or under carport...we like to use that space for grilling!brbrbrbrOther Things to Note:brbr*This is a mountain property and when it snows...it snows. During October through May we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle. While the driveway is pretty flat, it can get pretty difficult to get out of if you don't have 4WD. brbrbrbr*We have a person who comes by every other week to take trash to landfill. He will access the garage only. brbrbrbr*During the winter months, we have 2 snow plow contractors that come for any snow over 6. There have been times where they plowed and another foot of snow came down. Please watch the weather carefully. There have been times where we have parked at the end of the driveway just to make sure there were no issues getting out in case the plow couldn't come quick enough. brbrbrbr*Please explore! The creek is awesome, and so is...just looking at the mountains & trees. There are detailed maps in the photos and with the check-in items showing the property lines. Our neighbors are very nice, but they don't like people walking on their property. Also use caution as there is a lot of wildlife out here. We've seen bears, deer, elk, porcupines, foxes, etc... brbrbrbr*Starlink is HERE, and So far it has been incredible. To date we've had no issues even in heavy snow. brbrbrbr*Water Quality Notes (Please Read)brbrOur home uses a private well with a professional-grade water softener, conditioner, and filtration system. The water is safe, regularly tested, and serviced often. Because we’re in the mountains, seasonal snowmelt can occasionally cause a natural, mild sulfur smell in the water. It’s rare, and most guests never notice it, but it can happen from time to time with well systems in Colorado. Although safe to drink...if you’re sensitive to smell or simply prefer, we recommend grabbing a case of bottled water for drinking. Showers, cooking, and everything else remain completely safe and normal. We want you to arrive with clear expectations and that this is a natural part of well water in our area and not considered a refund-eligible issue...but rest assured, it does not affect safety or the comfort of your stay.brbrbrbr*The home is located in a forested mountain setting, occasional insects or small bugs may be present despite thorough cleaning and regular pest control. The natural environment, seasonal weather changes, and surrounding wildlife make this a normal part of staying in remote mountain homes. Unfortunately, a fine will be applied if we have to mitigate any smoke damage or smell in the property after your stay. Thank you for understanding.brbr- PET POLICY - brWe bring our two small dogs to the property for our vacations, and you should also be able to. We allow two small dogs during your stay, and there is a nominal pet fee to accommodate our cleaners for their extra work. But please remember that there will be guests enjoying the property after you. With that in mind, please ensure that your pet is FULLY potty trained and that you clean up after your furry friend (inside and outside).brbr- PARTIES -brWe are a family-friendly property and do not allow parties. If a party is discovered, there will be a fine of $1000 + any damages that occur.brbr- WINTER WEATHER WARNING - brThis is the Rockies, so you must have an appropriate vehicle (4WD/AWD) when you stay with us in the winter. This is for your safety!brbr- HOME MAINTENANCE TEAM - brWe have a great team of maintenance workers who might visit the house during your stay. Our Hut tub gets cleaned every Monday, and our trash gets taken out on Thursdays. Our team will do its best to remain discreet, allowing you to enjoy your privacy. We just want to make you aware in case you see them out of the corner of your eye!brbr- RANGER RICK'S WILDLIFE RULES - brMany animals are around this area (Deer, Elk, Fox, Coyote, Bear, and more), so please be careful with what you leave outside. We want to refrain from feeding the animals or training them to think they can get a free meal by visiting our property. This can be very dangerous and could harm the animals or another person!brbr- SMOKEY THE BEAR'S WILDFIRE SAFETY - brThe mountain can be very dry during certain times of year. To prevent forest fires started by people (like the devastating Marshall Wildfire in 2021), we ask that you avoid flames when outdoors whenever possible. Keep the mountain safe for us all!brbr- OUR MOUNTAIN WATER SUPPLY - brLike many others in the area, the house has a healthy water supply, so please be cognizant of your water use. Do not take long showers or back-to-back showers, and do not run the faucets unnecessarily. If you have any water problems, feel free to reach out!brbr- AMENITY FUNCTIONALITY - brWe obviously do everything we can to ensure that every amenity listed is sufficiently cleaned and in proper working order upon your arrival. However, unfortunate circumstances can occur from time to time. If major amenities need to be fixed, we will gladly offer a discount of up to 25% of the nightly stay for each night the amenities are not functioning.brbr- QUIET TIMES - brAlthough this is a reasonably secluded location, there are some neighbors around. As such, we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between 10 pm and 8 am, noise should be kept to a minimum. Thank you!brbr- BREAKAGES - brWe understand these things happen! Should you break anything, please let us know immediately so we can replace or repair the item quickly. We want to make sure each item is available for every guest!brbr- SANITATION POLICY - brFor health, sanitation, and property protection reasons, all bodily waste and sanitary activities must take place only in the toilet. Any urination, defecation, vomiting, or other unsanitary actions anywhere else on the property—including indoors or outdoors—are strictly prohibited.
