Come and enjoy an amazing mountain get-away in this quaint A-frame house about 20 minutes from downtown Evergreen. This house features a wrap around deck, south and east facing which gives you full sun and an abundance of outdoor living space, dining area and hot tub to use at your leisure. This home is a great family place that provides a quiet place away from the city with a plethora of hiking and biking trails nearby! Important to note: this home is a permitted short term rental.

This A-frame house provides 2 bedrooms and a pull-out couch in the living room. One room has an option of two twin beds or a king sized bed at your request. Please notify Kristen in advance if you prefer the king sized bed so that she can arrange the furniture to match your needs. The other bedroom has a queen sized bed. The loft offers a work area with a desk. The sofa downstairs turns into a full sized, and very comfortable, bed. So much opportunity for a family to spend some quality time together inside or outside. A full sized and fully equipped kitchen, dinette, a fully equipped bathroom, a TV with all channels (Hulu, Disney Plus, Netflix) and fast wifi. A trampoline is on the property for kids to use. Cub Creek Trail is a ½ mile walk through the neighborhood. Maxwell Falls Upper or Lower Trailhead is about a 10 minute drive away. There is a ton of wildlife around and if you're lucky, you will see the resident moose that live nearby!

I am very respectful of your privacy and time away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I have lived in many countries and have found myself here in these amazing mountains and surrounded by nature. My 14 year old son and I may or may not be on the property in my trailer, but I will be out of sight of your living space and respecting boundaries and privacy. However, if I am around and you need help, I will be at your service. I am also a yoga teacher, own a yoga studio in town, mindfulness coach and massage therapist and can offer you these services for an extra fee on the property. I am also here if you need any advice or directions on what to do and special events happening in town. If there is anything you need, I will be there. If I happen to be out of town, I have people close by that can help!

There is a lot of art work and other things hanging around the house from my travels. I ask that you respect this and always watch your children. We are in the mountains and as mentioned before, it is HIGHLY recommended that your children are supervised at all times for their safety due to the active wildlife. There are 2 cats that live in the home in the winter months, but may or may not be around the house while you're there. They are very friendly and enjoy hikes! If you hike from the house, they might join you!

There are 2 filters, one micron filter and a UV filter, that the water goes through for drinking and it's delicious! Bring reusable water bottles to reduce waste.

If anyone in your party smokes, only ash and put butts in a glass jar with water and only smoke outside. Discard the glass jar when finished.

There is a wood stove and steep stairs. If you require a baby gate, please notify Kristen and she will help to make the space safe for your children. There is also a pack and play available if it is needed. Again, let Kristen know and she will get it all set up for you!

I love my neighbors and I hope you do too! They are helpful, inviting, warm and caring. We are special people living at 9,000 feet. However, we are far apart and we like our privacy as well, so you will have this as well! Please be considerate of the quietness we hold sacred and not be loud after 10pm.

Being at 9,000 feet, it is high up and there are some pretty steep roads. In the summer, you should be able to get to the house with 2WD, however, if there is snow or it is muddy, AWD or 4WD is necessary! Remember to downshift coming up and down...going too fast or not downshifting can make the driving more treacherous and possibly lead you into a ditch. If you need any assistance or directions, please feel free to reach out to me.
Red Rocks is a 45 minute drive all back mountain roads.

PETS…Dogs are allowed, however, undisclosed pets that are not paid for will be charged double the amount of the dog fee from the refundable deposit.

Very cozy and fun, eclectic decor. We didn’t realize all three bedrooms were upstairs and bathroom was downstairs but the cabin was exactly as described. Hot tub was perfect temperature and we enjoyed it very much!!

Lovely, quiet, eclectic property in the wooded area near Evergreen. The host was extremely responsive, and made it feel truly like a home to stay in. She provided a very helpful guide book and gave us recommendations in the area. Would stay there again!

It was a great cabin. We enjoyed it. Saw some wilderness animals which is always a pleasure. Loved the hummingbirds.

My family and friends were unable to stay at this property due to serious health and safety concerns. We were aware that cats were on the property but not aware that the cats stayed inside at night until we got inside and instantly started having an allergic reaction. We were also unable to go in the yard due to the grass being tall. The refrigerator was full of personal food items. There was no air conditioning upstairs in the sleeping area and it was extremely hot! My family and friends had to go rent hotel rooms instead of staying here. We requested a refund and were told no! The online pictures were very misleading !

I proposed to my girlfriend in Staunton State Park, and then I had a surprise overnight party with our friends planned at this cute A frame house. We loved how our dog was allowed, that there was a fenced yard for her to play in with no supervision needed. We all had a blast jumping on the trampoline, cramming in the small hot tub, and taking in the eclectic decor of this mountain home. The only negative was that it was pretty pricy, around 600 for one night, but I have no regrets: it made a super memorable and fun engagement weekend.

A beautiful, peaceful stay in the mountains. The house was very clean and welcoming and the surrounding area was perfect. We had a neighborhood buck that hung out most of the weekend in the yard. Very cool. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time at Kristen's property near Evergreen! The cabin was clean and cozy with lots of character - we loved looking at all the decorations and my 3 year old thought the dinosaur room was the best thing ever. Kristen was easy to get ahold of and responded promptly. The surrounding town has some great restaurants and there are lots of hikes nearby. We would definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance! Thank you, Kristen, for having us - we really enjoyed it!

The A-Frame house was fully stocked and ready for us. Was more than comfortable for just the 2 of us. The three bedrooms are up a steep stairs - and the only bathroom is on the main floor. Deck furniture is tired and could use some updating. Over all a quiet nice place up the mountian. We hiked a couple of local trails - including the one you can walk to from the house. Was a nice get-a-way.
